Kenna Goodman (28) has been recently diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma.

Kenna had surgery to remove the tumor and is now undergoing radiation and chemo therapy in hopes to destroy any residual cancer cells in her brain and spinal column.

She has three adorable children ages 6, 4, and 1 and is terrified they will grow up without their mommy.

Gotta have it... someday...

Daydreaming is the best, I do it way too often.
I especially dream about our future home, but I found something that is a must have for our future home...
Yes, a slide, who needs stairs when you can have a slide...

History in the making...

We took a little detour while driving around
and took the kiddos up to Brigham City
to see the Brigham City Temple being built.

I think the kids enjoyed playing across the street in the tabernacle stream the most

Bear Lake... The Lake...

We tried to spend as much time on the water playing as possible. The kids loved to beach, and spent most of their time building sand castles.

Bear Lake... The Cave...

While at Bear Lake, to take a break from the sun we headed up the mountains to Minnetonka Cave to explore and cool off.

At first the kids thought it was amazing, we walked up and down for almost an hour, checking out all the cool things

Then we made it to the end where they were going to turn off the lights and before they did something happened to both of our kids, they broke down...
cried, and cried and cried. We had no clue why Ms. Macey acted like this and we couldn't stop her, so we left our tour group and pretty much ran out of the cave.
Once we were out of the cave, Parker was happy because it was light and warm, and Macey was ok while watching and chasing the squirrels.
Well later on we found out, one of the many times Macey had fallen in the cave she had fallen onto a log and got 5 large splinters in her hand, by the time we had noticed, her hand was already swollen, red and pussy, so we did a little surgery with a needle on her hand to get the huge slivers, and then she was all better.
Her little hand bandaged up after getting them all out, it was bad, poor girl.
Other than her little hand incident the Cave was huge and pretty amazing.

Bear Lake... The Cabin...

Aaron's family has a cute little white cabin up in Bear Lake, so we thought we would take advantage this holiday weekend and enjoy some time together as a family.
Parker almost got hit by a car running to see these bears, oh goodness, what a way to start the trip...
We ate unusual amounts of raspberry shakes, like a lot that are bellies hurt so bad, but they were so good!

The kids were in Heaven, spent most of their days exploring, playing and running around, covered in mud from head to toe.

The hammock by the creek was Heaven for me, we laid out there every evening listening to the stream, cuddled up on the hammock together as a family. Some of the best nights of my life...
Parker's favorites at the cabin, the swing and tramp...

Swan Creek that runs right next to the cabin

The cute little white cabin, beautiful!

The kids were super sad to leave, they wanted to stay
We had so much fun, and were so glad that we were all able to go, now with Aaron's new job we know he can't go on as many fun little family trips. Can't wait to go back next year and get sick of raspberries...

Happy Weekend!

Love this picture from Jr. High.
I am in the front left row.
I straightened my hair with an iron, like the iron you iron your clothes with, and it took 2 hours
Good times...

SL you were good to us!!!

I never knew how much I missed something till I didn't have it anymore.
We knew that we enjoyed living in Salt Lake City,
We loved the closeness of everything.
Walking to the store, park, library and church.
There was always something going on, or somewhere to go, and something to do.
And some of the most amazing friends.
Don't get me wrong, I have learned to love where we are at now for many different reasons.
But we had fun for the 4 years that we lived in Salt Lake, and we did so many things.
I have noticed a few things that I am missing, especially walking to the awesome parks, Parker and I would walk at least 4 times a week to Liberty Park, and oh how I have missed it, minus the weirdos, but they are part of the fun.  So we took Macey to Liberty Park to play in the streams and she LOVED IT!

Salt Lake City and Liberty Park you were good to us!

Mueller canyon walk...

I love summer evenings...
I love Sunday walks as a family...
And together they are even better...
We ventured up to Mueller Park Canyon and let the kids throw rocks in the water...
