Kenna Goodman (28) has been recently diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma.

Kenna had surgery to remove the tumor and is now undergoing radiation and chemo therapy in hopes to destroy any residual cancer cells in her brain and spinal column.

She has three adorable children ages 6, 4, and 1 and is terrified they will grow up without their mommy.

Lucky mom...

Some days I am more thankful for the things in my life than other days, and today was one of those days. The day itself was bad, the kids woke up way to early and were fighting all day, while trying to skype with family Parker was hitting me, Macey was crying and at the moment I wanted to have a break down, but as the day went on the evening changed, kids were more pleasant and I was happier. As I read stories to the kids and were tucking them in to bed Parker begged me to stay by his side and hold his hand, and I did till he fell asleep, Macey wanted to be cuddled up on my chest and rocked. As I was holding Parker's hand and rocking Macey I broke down and thought how lucky I am to have these two sweet spirits in my life, I am lucky to be their mom.
It's so hard not to love them because they are so darn adorable!!!

Tennis...

On Aaron's day off this week we took the kiddos to play tennis for the first time...
Parker amazes me at his talent with sports, he picked this sport up quite quickly and actually enjoyed it!
A short clip of Parker playing tennis...
Macey also enjoyed playing tennis but liked riding her bike around more...

2 weeks and attacked...

For the past 2 weeks we have been helping the neighbors by dog siting their 2 dogs and taking care of their 2 birds while they were out of town.
They have a Great Dane, she is a huge dog, weighs 180 lbs.
The kids loved to go over with me and feed the dogs treats.
Macey and Mia

Ricky and Lucy... The exciting part is these 2 birds made an egg while we watched them, maybe they will call it little Ricky.
The dogs and birds were great for the 2 weeks we watched them, it was the following day when their owners got home, some how Mia got out of the house and attacked Tootsie, Lucky enough we were there to get Mia off of her, somehow this dog has 9 lives and survived.

Manti...

Over the weekend we decided to head down to Manti to go camping, see the pageant and visit the grandparents.  We camped right across the street from the Manti Temple.

This little girl was smitten with her grandpa great. She was so excited to see him!. She smothered him with kisses, climbed up on his knee and just loved all his attention.

Macey had scraped her knee earlier and I had put 4 band-aids on and each time she took it off till her grandpa great put on the perfect band-aid and she wouldn't pull it off.
Grandpas always make it better...
Parker and Macey had so much fun camping with their cousins and playing in the tents they were bouncing off the walls with excitement.

Parker actually loved the pageant, he thought it was so cool to watch a battle and he kept asking if that was the real Jesus, and the real Angel Moroni and the real Joseph Smith. He thought it was awesome!
Our little camping trip with Grandma and Papa was fun, till 6 in the morning when we got poured on in the rain, so I packed up the kids and all the camping stuff and headed home.

We were bummed we didn't get to spend Father's Day with Aaron though, he had to work so we were sad he couldn't come camping. Next time...

To the men in my life... Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to all the men in my life...
For Father's day I asked Parker a few questions about his daddy...
Here are his answers...
My daddy's name is Aaron
He is 48 years old
4 feet tall
and weighs a whopping 8 pounds
My daddy is really good at playing
And he loves to play dance
My favorite thing to do with my dad is play mario on the wii
I'm just like my dad because I love like my daddy
It makes daddy happy when I tickle him

We love all the Father's in our life! Happy Father's Day! Have a great weekend!

Summer checklist...

Nothing like letting your cheeks out for some fresh air...

Just a suggestion, if your behind is literally eating your shorts, defiantly remove and pick another item.
Cottage cheese is delicious and a good source of protein and calcium. Just because it's hot, we don't need to see it on your body.
Bras aren't only for the winter months. It's a good, nay, great idea to wear one

Gotta love Summer!!!

Elephant Rock...

One of the things that I wanted to do for my birthday was go on a family hike...
So we set off up to Elephant Rock
Which is usually 3 miles up and 3 miles back but at a mile and a half the trail was closed, which was fine with me, so our trip was 3 miles.
The weather was nice and sunny, the trail was beautiful and the kids did great hiking almost the whole thing by themselves...
Everything was so green and luscious, the water was full and headed down stream fast and rapid
 Lunch break

We made it to the top, stunning view!

Tootsie was a trooper
Parker was our hike guide all the way back down

Macey giving daddy kisses to thank him for carrying her back down
We can't wait till the trail is back open and we can finish our hike all the way to Elephant rock next time.

I'm old....

Not really, well maybe, but I don't feel too old yet.
Happy 26th birthday to ME!!!

Being 4 is so AWESOME!!!

Parker makes being 4 look cool!!!
It's the cool thing to do...
I wanna be 4 again...
Blue transformer cake

The birthday crew at Chuck E. Cheese's

The ticket blaster, the whole reason we went to Chuck E. Cheese's. Parker won over 900 tickets!

He really looks so grown up in this picture
The Mohawk is really starting to go on me, he just makes it look so cool. I am actually debating on letting him keep it.

Parker had an amazing birthday, well at least I think so.
We pretty much spent the day eating junk food; donuts, pizza, cake, ice cream and more cake.
Rockin it at Chuck E Cheeses with his cousins.
Water fights in the back yard with his new water toys.
Laying out in the sun.
Presents, presents, presents.
Wii games
And late night basketball game.
Now that's the life!

Happy Birthday Parker! We love you so much!

R...S...L...

Parker had an awesome opportunity this last week, he was invited with is team to the REAL RSL soccer game and they had the chance to walk out on the field with a few other teams.
I was a proud coach and soccer mom.
These 4 cute little 3 year old boys did so good, they had to wait in the tunnel for over an hour and then when it was time to step out onto the field they all held hands and ran the wrong way, but some nice girls in blue were sure to put them back in line.

Here  they are waiting in line

and waiting...

And here they go...

This is the best picture I have of the boys running out. So cute! Parker is #3
We had so much fun at the game, Parker loved it! I'm not sure if he loved the game or all the snacks he had!
The before game activities were so much fun! They had free bounce houses and tons of games, Parker won candy, a soccer ball, a bucket of chicken, 3 kids meals to burger king, towels and some stickers

MOHAWK...

Well, Parker's birthday is coming up this week, and for the past month we have kept asking him what he would like or something he would want to do, but he seems pretty content with nothing.
But the other day, Uncle Greg graduated from high school and he cut his hair into a Mohawk, Parker thought it was the coolest thing he has ever seen, and asked if he could have a Mohawk.
I have this thing with boys, that I think they should have clean cut hair cuts so this was really hard for me, so we made an agreement that he could have a Mohawk for the whole week of his birthday.
Sunday after church we headed outside with the clippers and we started the Mohawk cut, after 2 buzzes on the side of his head, he decided he was done and started crying.
Well we couldn't just leave his hair like this, so after chasing him in the backyard for twenty minutes and Aaron pinning him down while he screamed bloody murder we finished buzzing his hair.
When he was all done, he thought it was the coolest thing, he now loves his Mohawk, but when he asks again for a Mohawk I will remind him of this terrible Sunday afternoon and tell him no. But for now he can enjoy his crazy Mohawk hair for the week.
He informed me when you have a Mohawk you are a tough guy
Tough guy face

He loves the Mohawk, I'm having a hard time with it, but he is still cuter than ever, he just doesn't look like my baby boy anymore.
Happy Mohawk birthday!

Goodman Reunion 2011...

We love to go to the Goodman Reunion each year, because it is one of the only times we get to see everyone. Even though this year everyone probably thought we were outcasts, we just couldn't keep our kids enclosed in the pavilion they just wanted to be outside enjoying the warm sunny weather and being by the pond...
I think we spent 3/4 of the Reunion by this pond skipping rocks and tossing logs in the water...

Mr. Studly in his stunner shades.

We were so tired, we didn't go to sleep till after midnight and woke up at 6, we were wusses.

The only time we could keep the kids in the pavilion longer than 5 minutes was during cleanup while they rode on top of the table wheeler, once they were on, we couldn't get them off to go home.
But we did get some time with Great Grandma Goodman!!!
But we had fun with the whole family playing games, winning prizes, working on projects, doing crafts, eating yummy food and just enjoying each others company.
Can't wait till next year!
