Kenna Goodman (28) has been recently diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous brain tumor called Medulloblastoma.

Kenna had surgery to remove the tumor and is now undergoing radiation and chemo therapy in hopes to destroy any residual cancer cells in her brain and spinal column.

She has three adorable children ages 6, 4, and 1 and is terrified they will grow up without their mommy.

Idaho

Isn't it great when your grandparents have spring break too!!!
Because my parents have the coolest jobs, and they are the coolest grandparents, they took a few of the grand-kids up to Idaho to see their Great Grandma and Grandpa VanEvery.
(Gabriella, Grandma, Grandpa, Tyler, and Parker)

The boys... loving to play with their Aunt Barb.
Cousin Tahsa also came to play
But playing on Grandpa's farm, feeding the cows were pretty awesome.

The boys called the black cows, bulldozers.
Can you believe that, 3 car-seats all fit into the back seat
Thanks for the fun weekend Grandma and Papa!

The BLANKET

This is the BLANKET...

This is the story of the BLANKET...

Last Fall when we called my grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Luke (were back East serving a mission), to tell them the exciting news that we were pregnant
This was my grandmas response, "We knew already Kenna"
And then she asked if we were having a boy or a girl, and I informed her, we weren't going to find out, that we wanted it to be a surprise.
Then she went on to tell me, that we were going to have a girl.
She knew this because my great grandma Lewis, which would be my children's great-great grandma Lewis, made a little blanket for our baby girl, years ago, when I was first pregnant with Parker.
Even though many grand girl babies came along, they never received this blanket.
Last Summer 2009, my great grandma Lewis passed away, the same week she passed away we found out we were expecting Macey.
While on the phone with my grandma she informed me that Grandma Lewis was taking care of our baby girl getting ready to send her down to us.
Well, Macey doesn't get the chance to meet her Great- Great Grandma Lewis here, but she will always have this special blanket to remember her by.
Thank you Grandma Lewis, We love and miss you!

I think Macey looks like me just a little bit, even if no one agrees with me

Saving memories

My mom has been so good to keep our childhood documented and remembered. By doing so she saved some of my baby clothes, which I am so excited to have Macey wear now.
Check out these adorable clothes.

This is what I am really thrilled about... To have Macey wear the same blessing dress as I did. Thanks for holding onto it mom

The arrival

The arrival of Miss Macey...

Thursday, March 11th, 2010 was like any other easy going day.
The contractions started around 9am, coming around every 10 minutes.
That morning, Aaron went to school and work,
Parker and I ran errands; bank, library, story time, went to my Dr. appointment.
At my appointment, the Dr. said any day, but probably not today.
We all met up for lunch, at Artic circle, I wanted the fry sauce, because the night before they did a segment on fry sauce on the news.
It is about 1 in the afternoon now, and the contractions are starting to hurt a little more, and they are about 5 minutes apart.
I tell Aaron, I think I might be in labor, and he is ready to go to the hospital right away.
I'm afraid of getting sent home, so I tell him they aren't bad yet and lets continue with our day.
We all go home.
Parker and I take a little nap, Aaron works some more, afterwards
we put new hub caps on the car, vacuum and clean out the car, go on a little walk.
I start to pack the bags.
5pm rolls around, contractions killing me and about 3 minutes apart
Aaron ready to go to the hospital, i'm not.
I cut Aaron's hair, do some laundry, finish the dishes, try to make dinner which didn't happen.
Contractions getting really intense,
so I hear taking a bath sometimes is relaxing,
I try the bath, send Aaron away with Parker to have him pick out a toy.
Bath is miserable
get out, and I start bleeding, so now I decide its time to go to the hospital
I call Aaron and Parker to come home, its time!
Call my parents, so they can come get Parker
Aaron is panicking, and gives a lady in the street $10. (don't know why)
Aaron wants to go now, I tell him we have to wait for my parents,
he is ready to leave Parker home, or drop him off at a neighbors house.
My parents arrive
8:30pm on our way to the hospital, contractions 2 minutes apart
I have been wanting Strawberry Crepes, I jokingly ask Aaron to stop on the way,
He is sweating bullets and runs the red light.
I guess that was my answer... NO
We arrive at the hospital and get checked in around 9pm.

I want the epidural, but can't have it till I have an IV and blood work done.
After 45 minutes of trying to put an IV in my arms and hands, they finally call for help.
After 10pm, I finally get my IV in and my blood work done.
10:30-The wonderful epidural guy arrives, my hero!!!
I'm feeling good now.
11:30pm
Dr. comes and checks me and says its time, there is her head.
I start pushing, and little Miss Macey arrives
11:52pm

Labor hurts, labor hurts really bad. But it is all worth it!

Too many posts

Aaron found out about the team work video post, and has been a little embarrassed about it, so he asked me to post a lot so it goes off the page, so for my husband we now have lots of new posts.

Family- Mother's

Family isn't about time. Love this commercial

The day before little Macey was born I came across the article "What Mothers Can Learn from the Savior", in the March 2010 Ensign. This article really seemed to help and comfort me.

*Spend time with Children: The Savior made time for the children even when He was tired. He knew how much they need attention and guidance. (Mark 10:14).
*Pray for Our Children: Think of the strength we can add to our children's resolve to do their best when they know we are praying for them.
*Help Our Children Love the Sabbath: At our home we really struggle with this already, and Parker is only 2, most Sundays we have to drag him to go to church and bribe him to go to nursery, so hopefully with the help of this article and more dedication from me, Parker will learn to love Sundays.
*Teach Faith in Heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ.
*Make Time for Teaching and Learning.
*Remember a Mother's Calling: As mothers, we need to strive to do our best to fulfill the sacred obligation we have. Be the strength and support for our children.
These are just a few small points from the article, and I feel very blessed to be a mother and I hope that I can be a great mother for Macey and Parker and teach them all they need to know. I love my children!

Super boy

Super boy is here to save the day!!!
He protects his baby sister.
He fights the furious Tootsie.
He drives a mean monster truck.
Have no fear, for the boy who wears his underwear backwards will save the day.
(In this picture he actually has them on the right way)

For Papa

Thanks Papa for my pretty new dress! All the boys (Daddy and Parker), think I look pretty cute in it.

First week home...

First, I am so thankful for this little lady, Ms. Suzanne, I think she might have saved me this week, while Aaron has been gone night and day studying for midterms. Her little family has come and played with Parker many times, and even taken him for a few hours each day on adventures to the park and wheeler farm. Parker has loved to play with his friend Benton. Thank you so much Suzanne! Also we are indeed grateful for such great neighbors, friends and family who have taken the time to come visit, and help us out. We love you all!
(Me, Macey, Benton, Parker, Suzanne, and Kate)
Our first week home, and I think we all survived. Parker has loved having his baby sister, and just wants to hold her all the time.
Every morning Parker asks for his baby sister Macey, so the 2 of them cuddle.
Macey had her first bath at home, which she didn't love so much.
Has made it to 2 doctor appts. already One for blood sugar tests, and the next for a goopey eye (tear ducts not opening).
Parker hates when she wears bows, headbands, and hats; he will take them off of her. And I think she is cute in them, so I put them back in her hair.
We all feel like this most days... TIRED!!!
But we are happy and loving every minute we have together as a family.
By Friday, after a long week, the whole family crashed for a nap in the living room.
Now it is Aaron's Spring break, and the kiddos get to have their daddy home for a whole week. Wahoo!!!

Guess who's who

Parker and Macey were very similar at birth, just a 1/4 of an inch apart and 2 oz. difference, but look at these pics and see how similar they look also.

Silhouette

Here are some neat silhouette pictures of our family... The first are of Aaron golfing, and the next are of our family about 3 weeks ago.

So, this is actually what Aaron does for work in the winter while he isn't at the golf course.

Any day now

ANY DAY NOW...
Is what every pregnant lady likes to hear, and that is the news that my Dr. gave me this week at my appointment. ANY DAY! But as my mom has told me, not to get my hopes up cause I could possibly go for a few more weeks also. But either way this baby is on its way and hopefully will be here sometime this month, and we can't wait!
First, at my appointment I was kind of bummed to learn that I gained 8 pounds in a week, but then I decided to look at the bright side of things, and maybe shoot for rounding that number up to a whopping 10 to finish out the week. ha ha ha. Gotta love pregnancy!
38 Weeks
Our baby is now as long as a leek, weighs nearly 7 pounds. (Length: more than 19 1/2 inches, head to heel.)
