Dearest You
Dearest You,
I always take time. I take time to learn something, I take time to do something, as most of the time I will only do things that I like first, I take time to search for lost things, I take time to heal, and also, I take time to love. I always take my own sweet time where all these things are concerned. I do things I love the most first, and the rest will be done at my own sweet time.
I told you; I take time to love. I take so long that at times, by the time I’m actually in love, that person is gone, long gone.
I’m glad you’re here to know what I feel right now. I’m so glad you aren’t gone, and that you were patient enough to know that this feeling can exist, will exist, even if I do take my own sweet time.
You should know one thing though, that I never did intentionally take time. I just do. Don’t know why.
I came to realize, like really realize that I can never do without you the last time you came. For some reason, I felt closer to you than ever. I don’t know if it was the distance the entire month before that made me feel that way, but it definitely felt better; stronger.
I guess I came to realize that we were more than just a couple; and that we are actually friends. Good friends, in fact. I came to realize that there were so many things we could talk about and that we could talk everyday, and it still didn’t bore us; or at least I wasn’t bored anyway. I also realized that despite the constant arguments and bickering sessions we had and still have; we do really care about each other.
I guess I’ve known that I love you for quite some time now. But of late, I just discovered how much. And now, I want you to know.
Love, Me

just a phase
Here I am, in the computer lab alone. Doing some research for the coming Jessup Moot Comp (while I pour my heart out, of course), when every single day I whine and moan to my brother of how much I hate to do this. How much more of a contradiction can I be? I guess if there were more time I’d gladly do this wholeheartedly, but with such time constraint, the pressure is really getting to me.
I have this sudden craving to write things, and I don’t know why. I guess so many things are going on in my head I just need to let them all out.
My sister’s leaving home soon. She’s going to the same place my mom and I grew up. I hope she gets as much experience and fun as we did. Looking at her makes me reminisce a lot about the past; about what I was there and what I am now. Long has it been those sleepless nights, and crying sessions, and late night feasts. God, I sound like and old woman!
It’s just that.. well, no point regretting, but I guess I could have done more for the school. I just hope she can compensate for what I didn’t do.
Speaking of which, I just want to say that I actually hate expectations. I guess I’m just going through this phase where I just like my own space and time, without people expecting me to do things with or for them. Do you get what I mean? I guess it’s not easy to understand for those who are so used to doing things together with someone all the time, but I don’t know. I think it’s just a phase. It could even be PMS, for all I know.
Let’s hope I get over it before I get rid of too many people. I hope it’s just a phase. I miss my sister. I wish I was out shopping with her instead of being here. The closer it is to her leaving, the more I want to be home. I am an emotional wreck. God, I do sound like an old lady! It must be PMS.

freaking out a bit
At the rate the internet is going, it is going to be virtually impossible to get this memorial done in time, or even on time. I’m not being a cynic, no; I’m just being utterly mad and honestly realistic.
How the hell are we all supposed to get this thing done by middle of this month? Is this a good way to start the New Year? I’m guessing not, but we are starting it off like we are.
I guess I’m freaking out a bit now. I can’t seem to get this work done as I would like it to be done. And I’m also getting the feeling that I might AGAIN be forced to do something I know I can’t do well with such short notice.
Fix the internet, please, so that we can access lexis.com a little faster. Thank you, whoever is able to do that!

bygones be bygones
I couldn’t think of any better words to start the New Year. Happy New Year to everyone out there! I hope you’ll have wonderful 12 months ahead waiting and promising good things for all of you.
There’s nothing much to tell about the previous year; the one which has just passed. I guess some things are best kept to oneself at times, as words written can never be taken back no matter how much deleting we do.
So as words said and uttered; you say it, and it’s done. But nonetheless, let bygones be bygones.
I don’t have any new year’s resolutions. It’s been quite some time really since I made any. Perhaps all the good things I should be doing come naturally without me having to put them on paper turning them into formal resolutions.
After all, good things do come naturally, don’t they?
I just hope to become a better servant to Allah The Almighty, whom I am very sure has everything perfectly mapped out for me. I also hope to be a better daughter, a better sister, and of course a better friend.
I just hope some other people hope for the same thing too. Because as far as I am concerned, some people never seem to change. They seem to be trapped in a time warp, where everything should stay the way it is.
Things change, people change, hence the phrase let bygones be bygones. Some people don’t get that though, and I hope that that would be their new year’s resolution; to open up their constricted minds and start realising that the world isn’t what it still is when they came into it 5, 6 years ago.
A reiteration- people change, and even if they don’t, they improvise. Not everybody changes into monsters; some people change for the better, sometimes even become angelic. Those who don’t believe in this, I’m guessing, are the only ones who are demonic because they refuse to trust in human’s nature of becoming better.
Don’t understand me if you mustn’t, I’m only telling you all that bygones are bygones. Get over it, and start afresh. After all, it is the New Year. Happy 2007, people. Hope you have a good one.
