Bad Movies

 

Bad Movies is a Greek Punk Rock band formed in 2004 in the city of Thessaloniki. Over the past two decades, they have achieved serious cult status in the domestic underground scene. Their motto truly reflects their worldview: "Life is like a Bad Movie..."

They primarily represent a blues- and country-infused Punk Rock style. Their sound combines classic, melodic Punk Rock forms with raw rock 'n' roll energy, often recalling the influences of legendary foreign artists like The Clash, Woody Guthrie, or Social Distortion.

The band was founded by two twenty-year-olds, Kostas and Geom, with the desire to express themselves. The core lineup consists of Geom - vocals/guitar, Kimis - guitar, Bebis guitar/vocals, and Kostas - drums.

At the beginning of their career (for example, on their 2008 debut album), they wrote punk anthems in English. Later on, they increasingly shifted to their native tongue, so their recent releases are exclusively in Greek, making their message even rawer and more direct.

The band remains highly active today, touring heavily across Greece (frequently performing in famous Athens venues like Fuzz Club alongside Pirates City, or sharing the stage with Strafi).
