The American Heist

Hailing from Houston, Texas, The American Heist (formerly known as "Born Anchor") formed in early 2008 when Tim Blackout, Evan Camp, Chris Boone, and Carl Chambless began rehearsals on Whitney Street. There was a line up change made in February 2010, when L.J. Sanford was brought in on rhythm guitar. Another line-up change has been made in the rhythm guitar area since & the new member will be announced at the band's September 4th record release party. As a band they have played with the likes of Mad Sin, The Street Dogs, Fake Problems, The Koffin Kats, and Reverend Horton Heat and they don't show any signs of slowing down. The American Heist was even nominated for Best Punk Band in the 2010 Houston Press Music Awards. They have gained quite a bit of good reviews by the press as well, some of which you can check out at HoustonPress.com. The boys recorded their first E.P. in April of 2009 in Austin, Texas that was released through Cutthroat Records and a full length was recorded in early March 2010 to be released through the same label.
