Four Jingle Bells

Hailey insisted on having a Spiderman party this year. Mostly because of dad's encouragement and Saturday morning cartoons she watches with him. So, we watched (parts) of Spiderman and had a Spiderman cake and had my family over for dinner. We had a pretty good time! Happy late birthday, Hailey! Can't believe I have a three year old girl!=) Papa trying out the new tunnel too. It has been awesome when it is our turn to do preschool at our house.

Hailey has been entertaining us lately with her words of wisdom and the sweet things she says. (mostly) When Blake was saying prayers with Hailey, she was being naughty, so he talked to her about how we act during prayers..... Blake: Why do we say prayers? Hailey: Because of Jesus Blake: It's good because we talk to Heavenly Father, too. Hailey: Yep, he's family. Now that Hailey is done with naps, she has quiet time. "I don't have to go to sleep, I just have to lay down." Usually, this means she will fall asleep after 30 minutes of Winnie the Pooh ABC's movie. Playing doctor with Spencer and he was crying. "It's okay Spencer, I am a doctor." He stopped crying!! This one shows her little meanie attitude sometimes. Grrrr!! Hailey: I don't love you, mom. Mom: Well, that makes me sad, but I love you. Hailey: Cry, mom. "I can't see your blue eyes."

I have just found an awesome educational tool.=) We were at Burlington Coat Factory yesterday and found this great little set. It has a card for each letter and numbers 1-25 that you can trace and color. It is a wipe off set. It comes with other tracing things and markers too. Hailey spent an hour doing this yesterday and kept saying she didn't want to come to dinner because she had to do her letters. Hopefully, she will be that eager to do homework in the future. Just thought it might help any of you out looking for a fun way to teach letters and numbers. Oh yeah, it cost $5 at Burlington, but it is online for $9. Awesome investment!!!
