Sammie in her Blessing Dress

This is Sammie at 6weeks or almost 7 weeks I guess. Anyways I made her dress and it turned out just perfect. I love making cute clothes. I have always loved to sew. My little newborn is growing up all to fast. I can not believe how fast it goes by. Wasn't it just yesterday that she was born. I love all my babies. Yes to me they are all still my babies forever even when they start having babies of their own.

Fly lady

So I have found fly Lady and I love how it works. I feel stress free and my house is starting to look nice and I love it. YEs there are 8 of us that live in the house and it seems that I am always picking up and stressing out but sense I have found this new way of looking at house work it has helped alot. Even the kids seem to not mind it. They all have had a chore chart for about two years now but they find it easier to do their chore as I do all the deep cleaning so it is not a huge task for them to take on it is simple yet makes a room shine. If nothing else to do for you and your house just go and shine your sink http://www.flylady.net/pages/FLYingLessons_Shine.asp It will make you smile.

Another Milestone for Sammie

Sammie is sitting in her bouncy seat and is starting to grab for the toys that are on it. She is so dang cute. I love her so much.

She weighs 10lb 8oz
She is 23 3/4 in long
Her Head circumference is 15in

She is in the 50th percentile and is just doing great. I am glad. She lets me sleep she does not worry me. She loves to nurse(after the letdown that is) I just love her so much. Here are her pictures at 7 weeks she is so cute. We will be blessing her on Sunday and she is just so beautiful. Why does time have to go by so fast, it seems to just slip through our fingers.

Feeling better

I do love writing and so I find myself here again. I have started reading this new book that I got from my in-laws (thank you ) . It is called the Holy Secert by James L. Ferrell, author of the Peacegiver. Excellent you should read it. Anyway I am not too far into it but it is about 3 different things that are Holy, The Scriptures, The Temple and The Sabbath. I have been reading the section on the Scriptures and it is fabulous. When I was in High School I never missed reading the scriptures in 4 years every day. At first it was to get my name on the wall and look cool but that changed all to quickly as I could hardly wait to open them. I began to understand them more deeply and apply them to my own life. I loved that feeling and as I would read them answers to my prayers would come. I was close to the spirit and could feel a calm feeling all the time. When I went to college, I became sidetracked with homework, and friends and freedom. I began to loose site of what had mattered most to me. Ever sense then I have had a hard time reading the scriptures and staying close to My Father in Heaven. There have been times in my life where I have felt close an others where I feel far from him. I think many of us can feel that way. But this last week I have began to understand why it is important to always stay close to him. He needs us and we need him. The Scriptures can guide us and teach us many things, Why do I not read them more. So I am making a goal to read them everyday and try to find at least one thing that my Father is trying to teach me.

Ok now I am also on the PTO for the kids school, what was I thinking? I know 6 kids crazy to take anything else on, but nobody else was volunteering. There have been a lot of things said and it has weighed on my mind very heavy and it is hard for me to let things go espeacially when there are negitive things that people are saying that I said and did. What do you do, when someone said you did something and you frankly never remember ever saying anything like unto it? I need to talk to this person and let her know that I love her and that if I have hurt her in any way I am indeed sorry. Then to the others that have told this to me that I am sorry that they had to be involved. How far do you go and what do I do? The PTO people from last year did not want a PTO this year is the feeling I get? At least that is what was said in letters and emails that went around, and my stuburness is that I will not let them have their way. But should I give up or keep going. Why do people have to create drama for everyone to deal with. Maybe homeschool is the way to go? Ok so enough rambling on.

Christmas Eve

Last night we had our fun Christmas Eve night. We are trying out a new thing this year and that is to eat a Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve and to relax on Christmas Day. I like that. We then had Christmas Eve with Grandma and Grandpa Smith and Uncle Dan. We also had Santa come suit and all. He brought gifts too and we had a blast!!!!!!! The kids were so excited. Michael was amazed, just kept looking and walking up to him very fascinated by the magic that Santa brings. Maddie said that looks like we have a "Santa Dan" . She could not believe that Santa had a present for her in there.!!!!! Spencer was his timid self wanting some help to sit on Santa's lap, but he did go up to sit on his lap and get his special present. Allie said that she has figured out who Santa is and she knew that this was not Santa because Mom and Dad where sitting in the room. She knew that it was Uncle Dan. What a sweetie!!!!! Joseph said to Santa, you are just a Santa Helper because he is too busy on the other side of the world with a ton of Toys. He makes me laugh. I love Christmas and the magic of it all. After the kids said good bye to Santa they spent time with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Dan. Grandma makes the kids PJ's every year and so we opened them. Then we said goodbye to them and the kids each get to open a present before we go to bed. We read the Christmas Story and sang Silent Night. Then tucked each of the kids into bed. Joseph was having a hard time sleeping he said I am so excited I just can not go to sleep. What a character!!!!! So we sang songs and scratched his back(way we get him to settle down, OT thing). He was finally asleep!!!! We finally finished wrapping presents and put them under the tree and then went to sleep. It was early when the kids awoke. They got up to check if Santa had come, it was 2:30am. Yes they were so excited that they were checking out every thing. Allison decieded to organize all the presents into a pile so that we would know where everything was. As they were doing this I was laying in bed and heard the kids and thought to myself this is crazy, remembering the magic of Christmas and the effects that it had on my sleeping when I was a little one. We did have the kids go back to bed, I know mean parents. Joseph had a hard time falling asleep so David had to Sleep with him. We convinced the kids to sleep until 6:30am. Joseph finally was able to get everyone up and they were so excited about everything. So Christmas Eve was a fun evening!!!!
Next post Christmas Day.

Some days just are not easy

I love the Quote I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it. I am having one of those weeks. I just want to cry. I do not know why but I feel like I am all alone and what I think and say every one is taking offence to. What do I do to stop feeling this way. I just want life to be normal again to slow down and relax again. I just want to quite at life and be done.Is this normal to think this way do I need help. It seems when I need help the most I feel all alone . Some people try to help but I just push them away, when really inside I am crying out for help desperatly. This time of year is also hard on me. I have not been to my families house for Christmas for 7 years and unless we move there or become rich will not be driving there over mountain passes. They are not fun to drive over even during the summer. Plus with 6 kids it is long for them when they are so little. Why I am sharing this with every one I do not know. Only that this is my means of expressing my feelings and so I blog my good days and my bad days in hopes that people see that I am normal and have just as many good days as bad.

Do you ever feel like it is hard for you to make and keep friends because of your kids. I do is that bad. I love my kids and would do anything for them. It is hard when I feel like people look down on me as a mom when I have a son that looses control like 98% of the day. Like lady contronl your son can't you see that he is hurting my kid make him stop and control him. We are doing the best that we can. I do not know what to do. I lay awake at night thinking of what we can do to help our son and teach him some how of why it is important not to hurt others and stay out of their space, but day after day it becomes harder and harder. All of my other kids seem to get it and have love and affection for others, but this one he has the hardest time and it scares me so much that one day he may not be able to live here in our home with us. I mean he does have good days but it seems like mostly bad days lately. I know that he does have feelings of sorrow because when he does something to hurt someone on accident he is very concerned and wants to help make them feel better, But when he acts on impulse he does not stop it is like he becomes a robot or it is as if there is something telling him to do it. weird, and scary. If there is to much stimulation then he is set off or if there is not something for his mind to think or do then he does it, meaning go pick on an innocent little person, ever sense he was a toddler. Why I have to go through this I do not know yet, but I hope that soon I learn so it can get easier for me. I just keep praying that I can make it one more day, with out giving up. Please Father help me with your precious son that I love so dearly. Is it ok to have a mommy break just once with no kids. If only I had a brave soul to take six kids for an hour or too. I need a temple break!!! Father plesae send someone to rescue me.

Michael the mischivous little boy

Today I had some friend over to finish making our christmas treats!!!! There were 10 kids in all:)
Our front door is stuck and will not open and so we have been using our gararge door, so Michael thinks it is cool to go into the garage. He saw a fun toy, a hammer and found a very dangours thing to have what he called fun. A mirror that had a wooden frame, that daddy was refinishing. When I went to find him you can only imagine how frightened I was when I found him banging the hammer on the mirror while laughing at the noise of broken glass flying and bouncing up and down on the work bench. Thankfully there was only a small cut on his idex finger. I am constantly having to be on my toes with him he is always into so much. I turn around for one second and he is as fast as can be and into something or climbing on something. Michael I love you my sweet little angel.

Making Peanut Butter

Today we were finishing up with our christmas treats for our friends and we were making chexs mix which required peanuts. Joseph wanted some nuts in a bowl to eat. So he put them in a bowl and disappeared into the kitchen. He came back to the table with a potato masher and the bowl of peanuts. I asked him what he was doing and he replied is this how you make peanut butter because I need a peanut butter sandwich!!!!! What a cute kid with brilliant ideas!!!!

Spencer and colors

We are sitting at the table and we were discussing what colors mixed would make what colors. We asked Spencer what colors would make brown and he replied without hessitation yellow and purple. What a cutie and then he said ketchup and mustard make orange what a smarty. I love kids they say the darnedest things.

Today I am Five

Wow it is hard to believe that Spencer is 5 years old today. I look back to the day that we found out that we were expecting him. We tried for a year to get pregnant with him. What an amazing journey that was. I remember the day that I started to have contractions with him. We lived in Boise off of Maple Grove. I was doing my regular cleaning and all of a sudden I had these sharp contracting pains. I thought that felt weird. Then went on and as the day progressed they got worse. It was fun to think that I would have him. I tried to hold off until David got home but Iended up calling him a half hour before work. He came home and my cousin came and watched them. She said you don't look like you are in pain. I really don't have much pain until the last hour of labor. That was the case with him. I was dilated to 4cm when I got the hospital. I had him 3 hours later in the hospital. He was my biggest weighing in at 8lbs 9oz. I love him he has been such sweet spirit in our home. He has the best and kindest heart. Just a quick story about him, to show how loving he his. In primary every Sunday his teacher gives each of the kids a candy after class. Spencer never eats his candy, instead he gives it to his sister Maddie. Always with a smile and always his idea. At home he is always watching out for us if we are relaxing on the couch or watching a movie we are assured that Spencer will bring us a blanket and tuck us in. I love him a ton!!!!

He is always so kind and loving.
As I was typing just now he said to his Daddy" my mother is so beautiful" What a wonder 5 year that I have.!!!!

Prayer and patience pays off

I have a dear friend that left the church and with that many of the church friends. What can you do. It has been 2 1/2 years now and it is so sad to see what they do with their lives. I can only pray that we can be friends again one day, and for the past 2 1/2 years that is just what I have done. I know that our Father in Heaven blesses us always. He knows what is best for us and he knows the desires of our hearts. I have seen a miracle occur, This friend has recently contacted me and I had to thank my Father in Heaven for he truly knows what brings happiness to each of us. We have yet to do something together this friend of mine, but it is the contact that we have made with each other that was a miracle to me. I know that as we pray and are inspired to be patient the Lord will work a mighty miracle in each of us. I am grateful to all of my wonderful friends and pray that as my friend and I communicate that I will be able to share my testimony of happiness and let the Savior shine through me that His Spirit will be felt by those that need him in their lives. I am grateful for the Gospel and for the atonement. I know that the Lord blesses each of us and that he knows our hearts and what we really want. I know that if we are patient and continue to pray that the Lord will bless us and answer our Prayers. They may not always end in a way that we want them to but the Lord does love us and is aware of our needs. For this I am most grateful for.

Our lunch time conversation

We the 4 younger kids and I were sitting at the table eating lunch and Maddie and Spencer were talking about building a snow man. Maddie said now we can not make a snow man out of the hot snow because it is to hot, because the sun makes it hot, and it will burn up our fingers. Spencer then said but we can make it out of Cold snow so we will not get burned. Ok Maddie said.

Kids have such a wild imagination, and I love what they have to say.

Oh and on a side note, my kids love their and Laura, they exclaimed I love that Lady, I asked what lady, Aunt Laura, she is the best ever mom she is our aunt and we love her!!!!

The fisrt snow of the year!!!!

Ok so just to let every one know it has finally snowed in Boise. If you didn't hear my kids this morning jumping for joy already, yes at 7:00am, the kids start shirking with excitement and letting everyone know that it was time to go play in the snow. Not to mention they were all in jamies and still but who cares there is snow out side and they were in a hurry to go and bask in it. I of course had to ruin their fun and had them get dressed, and eat breakfast before they could go out and test it out. I love them. It was so sad when they came back in 30 seconds latter and exclaimed this snow is just powder snow, no good to make a snow man or a snow ball. They were sad, but no the less some how snow has a magic that lights up the kids even when it is not snowman snow. So yes the first snow brought lots of joy and disappointment only for a short time. We love the snow!!!!

Up still

Well I am up still with Sammie and She is still going strong. I think she is growing because she is just eating a ton!!!! I love her so much, she is laying on my lap resting her tiny little leg on my arm. I am sadden by how fast they grow up and wish that it did not go by so fast. I started making her blessing dress tonight and it makes me reflect on how she was just with our Father in Heaven. In a few short years she will begin to make sacred covenants with him as she is again dressed in white. And then again when she enters the temple with her companion. It amazes me that each of are here for that purpose. I love the feelings that I get when I think of my Savior and the love that he has for each of us. Our Fathers plan amazes me each time I think of it. Knowing that My wonderful husband and six beautiful children will be mine forever and that we will have each other to have many memories with into eternity. I love late nights like this that lead me to reflect on why we are here, and that we are not alone.

Our Christmas Festivies begin

Well last night was the first Monday of the Month in December which means the starting of decoraing for Christmas in the Smith home. We started with the Christmas tree. Oh how I love Christmas and Decorating for it.!!!!! The kids are so excited and can hardly wait. We are reading Christmas Scriptures at night, with songs and a story as well. One of our favorite traditions that we just love. I am grateful for this time of year that we can focus all of our thoughts on the SAvorior.

I hope that I am spelling right I have this picture of a lock on my screen that will not go away?

Merry Christmas!!!!

Up already

Allison woke up at 5am this morning, luckily I got her to go back to bed for a couple of hours. But Michael did not go back to sleep like I thought. Spencer woke up at six and came and snuggled with me in bed and until he heard Michael. He came out to the living room and then back into my room and pronounced, Santa did not come and Michael has knocked down the christmas tree. So here I am up with two sweet and very active boys. I guess I better get breakfast ready.

Maddie and the foot ball game

So we were watching a foot ball game and Maddie was very concerned that there were bad people on playing the game. I questioned her and asked her what she meant she said "they had to go to time out" Ok so she is only three and and has only the concept of what time out means if she is in trouble. she makes us laugh so much with her imagination.

It also make me realize how smart she is and that she understands and remembers so much. Maddie why do you grow so fast, you were born just yesterday weren't you? I love you so much!!!!

I want to go with my daddy

Daddy was going to pick up some prescriptions from the pharmacy and was taking Joseph and Allison and of course anyone else who wanted to go. Maddie wanted to go and sent to get here socks shoes and coat. she got distracted and was remined that it was time to go and there was no reply from her. she was heavy into her imagination of her own world. So natrually the others left. About an hour later out of the blue she was on the couch and remembered that she wanted to go and brust into tears. I asked her a question and she was again disracted and immediantly stopped crying and started talking about something funny. She is just funny and I love her a ton she is so sweet.

Colored Pennies

Daddy brought home giant Smarties and gave them to the kids and Spencer replied "these are my colored pennies".

Has it alrealdy been one month

Wow Time fly's by too fast!!! Samantha is 1 month old. Where does the time go? With 6 wonderful children the time goes by so fast that if I blink I miss something. Right now Spencer has his sweet little arms around his little sister smothering her with his kisses while she sleeps so peacefully. I feel like I do not get to hold her as much as I would like to because all the little kids want to hold her all the time. The first few weeks were rough as we were establishing the boundaries and teaching the little ones how to hold the baby and that we have to ask when we want to hold the baby and so on but the kids are very respectful of the rules and love there sister very much. Samantha has survived 1 month with 5 very protective brothers and sisters, with the occasional reminder to be gentle. I love all of my time that I have to be with Samantha.

She has a few mile stones to note She sleeps through the night going to bed at 11:00 and waking up at 7:30 I have been blessed to have such a good sleeper. Also with in this last week she has figured out how to smile what a sweetie she is with a cute smile. I am trying to get it on camera so wish us luck!! She is also now weighing in at 8lb 13oz she is such a big girl.

Heavenly Father knew that my patients would run low with six kids and now sleep. I am fully confiedent that I have what I can handle and I know that the Lord is right here helping me out. I have been so thankful for the watchful care of my Father in Heaven and also for the help that my wonderful Husband has been in helping me fulfill my calling as a mother!!!!

What a day to be thankful for

We had a great day. We had my sweet sister here from college. We also had David's Mom and Brother over for dinner. His Dad was sick and did not want to get our little ones sick. To which I am greatful for his great sacrafice, he has not seen the newest one yet and he is just dying to see and hold her. I hope that he gets to feeling better soon. We miss you grandpa!!!!! We had a great dinner and sat and talked and visited with family. After David's mom and brother lost we headed out to David's anuts house and hung out there and had pie there a fun tradition that we have done almost for 10 years minus two years.

At dinner time we all sat at the table and and went around telling each other what we were thankful for Maddie said" I am thankful for food" Spencer said I am thankful for loving my mommy" Joseph said that he was thankful for his "freedom" Allison said that she was thankful for loving her family" And for Michael we thought that he would need prompted so we were telling him things like family and food ect... and he said all by him self "Mary Poppins" that is his favorite movie he begs to watch it all the time and when we do not let him he will walk around the house singing the songs Chimminy and Just a spoon full of sugar. He makes us laugh so much. I love hearing what is on the hearts and thoughts of these little minds.

So I am grateful for my wonderful family and all that I am blessed with, I love my family and friends and I am grateful for all of the sacrafices that we all make for each other.!!!!!

Happy Thanks giving

Joseph is doing very good

I love my oldest. It is hard to believe that he is 9 years old. I can not beleive that it was 9 years ago that he was born. It seems that just yesterday he was placed in my arms and and I cherished every moment with him. He is just as sweet now as he was then. He has a heart of gold of which I am grateful for. I love that kid. He can be a struggle at times, as many of you know he was diagnosed with having aspergers a form of autism. After many visits to many Doctors and trying different forms of behavior modifications, and then after finding the right meds for him, we are on to a better life for all of us. He loves to cook for us and he is dang good too. He loves to build things and loves to do science expereiments so we have a lot of fun with him.

3 weeks goes by way to fast

I can not believe that three weeks has gone by so fast. I look at my sweet little angel of a baby, Samantha is starting to fill out and is getting some rolls on her little legs and arms. Her newborn clothes are getting to small and is now offically fitting 0-3 month clothes. She is my only one that wore new born clothes. Sometimes I wish that I could freeze time and let these moments last longer, but I am excited for the mile stones that they hit. Yesterday she smiled at me for the first time as we sat on the bed talking to each other. Her Spirit is just amazing and sweet, We communicate alot by our spirits, Iseem to know what she needs just by looking at her and feeling of her mood and it just amazes me. Next week will be 4 weeks that was one fast month. She is so sweet.

She has managed to stay out of the hospital so far, her last two siblings were hospitalized at this age because of RSV and Phenomena. Her only thing is an eye infection which looks so much better now that we have meds for it. I am glad that the cold was in her eye and not in her chest. She is just a remarkable little miracle and I love her a ton.

Samantha's 2 week Dr. Appointment

We took Samantha in on Monday November 9th and this is how she checked out,
She is 7lb 14oz. , 21in long and her head circumference is 14in around. She is now as big as Maddison and Allison when they were born and Michael too. Wow she is growing so fast I can hardley believe it. Why must these little ones grow so fast. I find myself sitting on the couch and wanting to do nothing but hold and snuggle my kids, but there are things that must get done like laundry and cleaning so I must go so that I can get it done.

Anyways I am glad that my little one is growing and healthy.

Mommy and Michael Time

Tonight Michael was having a hard time so I asked him if he wanted to help mommy make a treat to which he replied "yes". He was so excited to help mommy out. We went into the kitchen and we made browines he was so cute because he somehow knows that little boys sit on the counter when they are baking with mommy. He sat their and put things into the bowl and then he stired up all the ingredients. What a big helper he is. Of course once it is all in the pan and baking in the oven our job is to lick any chocolate off the spoon and out of the bowl which we did that just fine. In fact i think that is our favorite part, or so Michael thought so. I love spending time with each of my kids. I try to savor each moment that I have as each moment is so fleeding and only happens once. I cherish each of my dear sweet children, and pray that I will be able to teach them of our Father in Heaven and who they are and where they can again return to again, to live with God agian. I know that as they are young it is easy to communicate with them but as they grow older they become more independt and have much more freedom, I pray that they gain a strong testimony of God and his plan that they may feel of his love when life gets tough that they will stay close to him, and rely on him.

Two Weeks goes by so Fast

Samantha's Feet at two weeks the are so tiny

This is our Samantha at two weeks look at how tiny she is She is just wonderful

Here is our sleeping beauty 2 weeks today
Wow time flies by so fast.

I can not believe that it has been two weeks sense I have given birth to my sweet little angel, Samantha. She is perfect in every way possible. I just can not get enough of her. I just want to soak up every ounce of time that I have with her. Her newborn look is already fading to fast. She is starting to look like a baby, filling out and putting some chub on her. What an adorable little girl she is. Tomarrow she will have her 2 week doctor appointment. She is sleeping through the night, she has been doing that sense we brought her home. She goes down between 10 and 11 pm and wakes up at 5-6 am. I count myself as very blessed. I have 6 wonderful kids that I must care for all day and I know that Heavenly Father has blessed me with a sweet little angel that sleeps alot. I hope that her night sleeping continues but I do hope that her day sleep will lessen a little she is awake for about 4 hours a day. So she gets around 20 hours of sleep a day. She has had her first bath at home which she was not sure about then she decieded that she really did not like it at all. She screamed and wailed about it until I had her wrapped up snug in her soft little towel. I am so excited to have this little angel in our lives she is such a blessing to me. I thank my Father in Heaven every time I look into her eyes. She is such a joy to have in our Family.

Thought that I was done with six

When we got pregnat with Samantha I said this is number last, but I do not feel that way now that she is here. As I lay there on the bed right after I gave birth to Samantha I felt the presence of another little spirit very strongly. I feel like there is another little spirit waiting for a turn to gain a body and enjoy a journey here on earth. Never this soon after child birth have I wanted to even think of having another one but maybe this is Heavenly Father saying no Sally this was not number last for you. I would love to have another baby especially if that means I get to be apart of Our Father Plan in giving a body to one of his Spirit Children.

My birth story

I need to record this as my memory is fading fast of Samantha's birth, and now with 6 kids it seems harder and harder to find time to record things down. I started to have contractions on Saturday Oct 24th and they went all night and into the morning. I knew that this labor was alot like my first, very slow. I told David that we could go in to the hospital, so he loaded got the kids taken care of while I showered and got ready. We left our house to a great friend to watch the kids and take them to church for us. I was greatful to have someone watch over our kids and know that they would be well taken care of. We got to the hospital and monitored baby and consitacy of contractions. They both were great. I was only dialated to 1 cm so I walked around, knowing that my Dr. would not send me home was a great comfort to me. In one hour I went from a 1 to a 2 1/2 cm. So I knew that my contractions were doing something. But as I sat and did nothing contractions would stop. So I wanted to contiune walking. I wish there was more of a place to walk but the matarity ward in the hospial was it for me. We walked and I progessed to a 3 1/2. I was getting tired and now it was 2:30 pm. my contractions were still painless but closer together coming about every 3 mins. I asked the nurse if we could break my water and she talked to the Dr. He came in and finally baby's head was low enough that we could break the water safely. As we broke the water it was clear that baby had pooped already, which meant that she would have to be suctioned really well and that I would not be able to hold her right away. Kind of sad because I have been able to hold the last four of my babies as they came out. Joseph the first also had meconium in the water so he was suctioned as well. So as my water was broke, I still was not doing much which with all my others as the water broke I had the baby 20 min later. I asked for a pic drop and as they gave that to me my contractions became harder. I had Pic for about 45 min. and then she was her. My contrations went from being able to laugh through them to really having to concentrate. I knew that there was no turning back. I was excited to have this over with, the pain of contractions. As I lay in bed I had a hard time not wanting to push with each contraction. Being reminded of breathing. I had the nurse check me and was at a 5cm, finally I knew it would not be long now. The nurse called the Dr. and had him come back to the Hospital. He lives like 5 min away so I was not to worried. He came in and checked me and I was still at a 5cm. He went out to the hall and checked on some things. I was haveing back to back contractions now and knew that it was only a matter of two or three contractions now before I would be pushing. How could I comunicate this to the nurse and Dr. I could not think or talk. I prayed that I would be able to let them know so that the nurse would get the Dr. Durning my next contraction break 20 sec. I told the nurse that I felt presure and she checked me Iwas now at a seven. She had the Dr. come back in and during the next contarction her head crowned the Dr was still putting on his gloves. The bed was not broekn down and nurse was holding the head in until the Dr was there. When they said push I pushed and There was the head and the sholders followed and then the body. She slid right out onto the bed barley enough time for the Dr. to get a good suction. She did not get a great cry and was preety blue when she came out and so they worked on her. But despite her poor cry she was bound to cry until she was placed in my arms. What a sweet little girl the minute she was placed in my arms she snuggled right in and stopped crying and just looked at me. The next day were were planning on leaving. The kids were dying to meet their new little sister and because of the Flu epedemic they were not allowed to come to the hospital. It was kind of disheartning but we all understood it was for all the paitents safety. We were all cleared for discharge that night until our little Samantha decieded to turn blue and stop breathing. I paged the nurse while I franticly tried suctioning her out as she asperated her little body became more blue. It seemed like know one was coming so I went into the hall way to the nurses station and as they saw my baby they took her and started to work on her and then rushed her down the hall to the nursrey where after what seemed to be the longest minuete of my life I heard her cry and I thanked Heavenly Father for the sound of Crying. She had choked on the miconium fluid that was still in her little tummy, something that they can not digest it has to be spit up. We stayed in the nursrey for the next hour and them we were able to go back to our room. We also were now not going home for another 24 hr. Of that I was glad for. I did not want to go home and have her do that again. The Dr ordered that she be in the nursrey if I was sleeping so that she could be watched closely at all times. Luckely she did this only once and has been great sense. I love her so much. She is the best little new born. Sleeping a ton. I have to wake her at night to feed her. I have no dout that she is my little angel.

She is here and loved by us all!!!!!

Our Sweet little angel Samantha Lynn is here. She was Born at 6:31 pm Sunday Evening. Everything went well. She weighs 7lbs 5oz, and is 19 1/2 in long. Here head was 13 cm around. She is perfect in every way. I am glad that we are all home safe and sound. She is such a joy. She just amazes me every time I look at her, knowing that just a short time ago she was with our Father in Heaven. I feel that closeness to her the one that I feel with each of My children as a newborn.

I will recount my birth story a little latter. I just thought that I would get some pictures up so that you can see how sweet and adorable she is !!!!!!

No baby yet

I am so ready to have this baby!!! On Thursday night I thought for sure that I would have my baby. I went over to my wonderful Cousins house with my mom and we got our hair done. I started having contractions and they were coming about every 4-5 mins. I could of gone in to the hospital but I was so tired I wanted to sleep for awhile so I told myself to relax. I did fall asleep but kept waking up. I finally went and took a shower and a bath and it must of relaxed me because around 3:30am I finally went to sleep. I was a little disappointed because it would of been nice to be done. Oh well. My Dr. told me that if I go in he will not send me home, he will break my water and if needed start me on pictocion(?). I am again today having more contractions, and this sounds bad but the BSU game is tonight at 9:00pm and I love BSU foot ball so I want to watch it and then I think if my contractions get harder then I will go in. So maybe today. I will be kind of sad and hope that I do not progress until tomarrow after 10:00am because my cute kids have their Primary Program. So I guess we will see how it goes. Tomarrow will be good. What a way to bring in our first and our last children on Sunday, the day that we worship our Savior, They are coming straight from Him on such a wonderful day. Any way I am going on and on and need to go.

Fun Fall Festive Day

We had a very fun day today!!! We had our Primary Activity which was for the whole family, as the theme for the year was on families. We painted blocks, frosted cookies, got some FHE lessons and painted temple frames to put our family picture in, and we even did a hold to the rod activity. We all held onto the rod and walked across a beam then we passed a ball over one family member then under the next family member's leg and then we traveled through the mist of darkness which required me 9 months pergo, to crawl on hands and knees holding on to the iron rod and children holding on to me as well it was quite the sight. We made it, and each of the kids were so excited.

Next on our list was the pumpkin patch. This was super fun too. There was so much to do and the kids wanted to do it all at once. We went through the straw maze and the kids raced to see who get through it the fastest. They all had fun. Next we took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins. This was fun, we told the kids that if they could carry it they could keep it. Allison tried really hard to carry hers. It took her awhile to get hers to the road but she did it. Good thing Dad was there because she could not quite lift it back up onto the hay ride. Josephs was big to but man this kid sure has a set of muscles on him. Spencer he is our undesisive little boy. He could not decide what one would be the best but he finally decided on one and he was so proud that he could carry it all by him self. Then we were back on the hay ride to finish up. We had to take Maddie and Michael to the mini pumpkin patch because all he pumpkins in the field were to big and heavy. So while Dad weighed and paid for the pumpkins with the three older kids, I took the two little ones and we went on a hunt for the two best little pumpkins to be had. And sure enough Maddie and Michael each took their time looking for the best pumpkin. Examining each one until they found the one that they loved the most. So we went back and weighed them and paid for them. Of course we do not go to a pumpkin patch all the time so we decided to let the kids go on the cow train ride and they were just thrilled with that. It is so fun to see the kids with great big smiles on their faces. I love making memories with all of our kids as a family.

After we were done at the Pumpkin patch we headed down the road to PoJo's (a video arcade and ride place). Joseph has asked all year to go here for his Birthday. He does not ask for much of anything and hardley shows interest in much of anything. So we thought we had better take him here. We bought each of the kids 8 tokens hoping that would be enough. About 5 minutes later Joseph came back with not tokens and about 450 tickets and was so excited he could hardly wait to get his prize. So I went around with the other kids while Daddy and Joseph did the ticket thing. After all the kids were done and had gotten their prizes we were going to eat pizza there but they just wanted to go. We had packed food in the van so we decided to go to the park instead. We went and ate some late lunch early dinner. And then played until every one was tired. We had such a fun day, that I did not want it to end.

I love days like this, the ones that you wish would never end and go on and on. I can hardly wait for eternity because I feel like that is how it will be. Full of joy and happiness on all of our faces and in all of our hearts.

Here are some pictures to see

My cute kids are growing up on us

I am hoping we are done with the Flu for now

Maddison was our last to get the flu. She like my younger two boys had a high fever of 103.4. It was not fun to see her so sick and sad. I am so glad that she is finally feeling better today. I beleive that we all had the swine flu. Which knocked us out for almost a month going through our house. It was not as bad as I had thought it was with the way the news talked about it. The hard part was keeping the kids hydrated. I bribed them with ginger-ale soda pop or (medicine soda) as the kids would call it. The only thing that we are left with now is a cough and runny noses. So we are still hanging low until the kids are cleared up. Our friends were here on Monday and thier kids have the swine flu now and her mom is a Nurse Practitioner and she said that it is still contagious up to seven days after the fever is gone. Poor kids I feel for any one that gets sick like this. At least we are done now and I can have this baby and hope and pray that our new little one does not get sick. Ok I will stop rambling on and on.

A name for our Sweet # 6

David and I have decided on a name for our little angel growing inside of me!!!!!
If we have a girl like the Ultrasound says she will be Samantha Lynn!!!!
If we have a boy his name will be Jacob Andrew!!!! I feel like now we can have this baby now because we have some firm and solid names picked out. The crib is up the room is ready and the baby clothes are all folded neatly in the dresser. I love getting ready for a new baby, and will miss doing this again. Yes I believe and feel that this is our last baby, which to me is kind of sad, but also a happy time to knowing that I will now enter into a new stage of life with our family. I love life and all that I am blessed with.

What a long night for my two little boys

Last night was quite the night. Spencer has the fever that comes with the flu and the chest congestion poor kid. We were up for about an hour and half trying to get his fever to go down. It finally went down and he slept until 7:30 this morning. Then Michael still has a lingering fever and horrible cough and congestion so he came into our bed last night as well. I tried to give him some meds but he was to in and out of sleep to even be messed with so I gave up and thought that sleep is the best medicine for him right now. He is still whining this morning and had a slight fever. I worry about him because he has had in the past ammonia. But hoppfulley we will be able to heal so that Mommy can have her baby and not worry about the sick kids at home.

Still have no name for our sweet soon to be #6

Our little one is going to be here in a few weeks and we still have no name so we are calling on help, does anyone have a great name. Please leave a post and maybe your name will pop out to us. We are suppose to have a girl, but I keep calling this baby Jacob so we will see but it would be nice to have a few names to choose from if it does come out to be a girl. We have always had a tough time picking out names but this one has been very hard.

My beatiful Kids

I love you Grandma and forget that we are not close so you don't get to see my cute kids, looked for the file on my computer but had to many things so I hope this helps. Michael is the top left hand at 2 1/2 years Maddie is the top right at 3 1/2 years. Joseph is bottom left corner at 8 years 9 on the 15th. Time goes by so fast. Allison is the middle she is 7 and Spencer is 4 and as funny as can be. We are planning to come and visit Mom and Dad in June sometime and would love to come up to see you guys. I wish we could come more often but kids and life make time very little. Joseph has aspergers syndrome( High functioning Autism) Which makes traveling for us very difficult. He needs to be warned and prepared for any thing out of the ordinary or he reacts adversely. So we stay close to home and try not to over stimulate him. What we do for our children amazes me. Before the kids life was carefree and had some meaning and now I look at how much I have gained because of my children. i could never ask for anything more then what Heavenly Father has given me. A wonder family that has enriched my life and filled it with joy day after day. I love life.

The flu hit our house early

We usually do not get the flu around hear. But this year it seemed to get us and I have a feeling it is not going away anytime soon. I had it two weeks ago and it lasted a week and a half, Then on Monday night Joseph was hit with it. He was better by the next mid morning. Then Allie had it Thursday and felt good this afternoon. Did I mention that we have had company sense Wednesday and their poor little girl got it today. I felt so bad for all these kids. Michael has been fussy this evening and I think that he may be the next one. Lets hope that this is the end of the Flu for our family for the season!!!! I do not do well with the flu and I do not want our new baby to get it that would not be fun. I am grateful for friends that help out and serve us. Thanks Joselynn you are the best!!!!!

What a long week!!!!

This week has been a long week for Mommy. Thanks to my wonderful kids it made it easier. I have had the flu all week. Thursday I accually got out of bed and went out of the house it felt nice to get and play with the kids. My kids love the library, we go every Thursday. Then we headed to Sams Club to get a few groceries. Then we came home and finished up the house work and had quiet time. So compared to the rest of the week I felt that Thursday was very productive.!!!! Today will be busy for us as well. Preschool for Maddie and Spencer and and intake interview that I have to go to for more counseling for Joseph. I am hoping that this counseling will be good and agressive for Joseph in that it will beable to help him over come some of his definacne towards mom and dad. I pray every day that he will beable to lead a good child hood and have good things happen to him. He is a very special child of our Father in Heaven.

Any ways I better get going this morning is already going by fast.

I am getting closer to having our Sweet Angel!!!

I am getting closer to having my Baby. I saw the Dr. today. Every thing sounded great. The Dr. was not sure about the head being down, quite honestly I have hesitated feeling 100% sure as well. I feel like the baby is laying horizontal. I am also measuring alittle less I should be 33 week and only measure 32 cm. Which for some that is ok but I always measure about 2-3 cm more than weeks. I also feel that I will have this baby sooner than the 27th of Oct. We will see. I can hardly believe that I go to the Dr again in only 2 weeks and after that it will be every week. I am so excited for all the excitement of welcoming another one of our Father in Heavens Children into this world. I love the Joy and excitement that all my children have as well. They are so excited they tell everyone that mommy has lots of babies in her tummy!! (Only one kids sorry). We all have been doing great and keeping busy. Have been canning and doing preschool with the younger kids and working with the older kids at school. Better go.

I have a hair dresser in training

I have a hair dresser in training if anyone is interested. Spencer and Maddison were intrerested. Allison has discovered Parent Trap and really likes it. So today she and the little kids were watching it while I put Michael to sleep. Spencer came in and asked "Mom do you like my new hair cut, Allie did it for me". I was mortified inside but did not say a word. I simplely went in and explained to Spencer that only Mommy and Daddy cut our hair. Well Allie and Maddie were no where to be found and when I called to see where they were and out comes Maddie with half of here hair on one side of here head gone to about her ear. I explained to Maddie that we only let Mommie and Daddie cut our hair. Allie being 7 had to spend the rest of the evening in her room. In hopes that she will learn that we do not cut others hair unless we are asked to. I will post pictures of the new hair cuts latter. I just have to think that kids will be kids and Allie was only watching ad acting out the movie where the twins in parent trap get ready to switch places. You know they cut the others hair, I'm sure that is where she got the idea. She is cute and makes me laugh!!!!!

Michael the Mountain Climber

So I have an expert mountian climber on my hands. ok so bunk bed climber is more like it. He thinks he is invinsible. Today he fell off the bunk bed for the first time. He held his arm and shoulder most of the afternoon so we took him in and he decieded that he was just fine. He was and now he is just fine. I aways am wanting to be safe rather than sorry.

Our Forth of July Celebration

What a fun filled day we had. We started off by going to the Caldwell parade a kids favorite, they love the candy and handouts. We had fun!!! We went home and ate lunch before heading off to Grandpa Smiths for a day with family. We had water baloons and kids. You can use your own imagiination the kids loved it. We then went and picked up some pizza and came back and ate. And the kids could hardly wait for it to get dark so that they could do thier fire works. We have so much fun every year but it is alway so fun when you are with family. This has been the first 4th of july on years to be with family. We got home late and everyone had to be carried in to thier beds. I am glad that we have a free country and that we are free to worship our Father in Heaven who gave us these freedoms.

Our Camping Trip

We went camping and had a great time. our kids had fun calling our tent home they would say can we go home to our tent now mom. Spencer while laying down to go to sleep asked a question to everyone " Was this tent easy, medium, or hard to set up? His reply was it was medium. He always has very thoughtful questions that he asks.

Our trip to the Temple

Yesterday we were able to attend the temple and do baptisms for the dead. It was a great expereience and we had so much fun. I love going to the temple because it is a great opprotunity to share with our children our testimony. I was telling Spencer that we were going to do baptisms for the dead and then he said I will die and then you can baptize me for the dead in the temple. Our children are so sweet and innocent. I love them and they are so sweet and have a great testimony.

Our altra sound

Well today was the day. We took all the kids with us so that they could see the baby and have it feel real, I admit it was not so fun for the little kids they got board. but we made it. The tec took about 100 pics and we will find out how every thing went on our next Dr. visit or sooner if anything is wrong. We also found out that it is a Girl!!!!! So we can say that our children have made a pattern Boy Girl Boy Girl Boy Girl. I hope that this means that we are done. Although this has been a very easy pregnacy for me the easiest I think. I better go and get the kids thier FHE treat now they are waiting paiciently.

Michael Got Tubes on Friday

All went well for Michael. He did not even slow down for them. We were at the Hospital at 6:30 am early I must admit. I told Michael all about what would happen and so when they were ready to take them he did not even cry one bit. He was gone for about ten minutes and he was sleeping wrapped up tight in a blanket, he slept for about 10-15 min and them woke up and drank a cup of jucie and ate some crakers and then we went home. He has not slowed down one bit still very much a two year old. He is very sweet.

What a crazy Week we have had here

Well It has been a long week. Last Friday I started to get a sore throat and by Saturday afternoon I could not get out of bed. I preety much stayed in bed until Monday morning. I love husbands they are so wonderful. David took care of all the kids and me. What a hero!!!! on Monday morning I called the Docter and went in. I had strept throat and got some meds. I came home and took the meds and climbed into bed while the kids sat on the bed and watched T.V. while I slept. I had a meeting to go to for our school uniforms so I had to rest enough to go to that. I can not believe how fast the meds kicked in. The meeting was great. Tuesday I had Michael's ENT appt. His ears are healing nicely but still have stuff in them. He is scheduled for tubes next Friday. Yea for Michael!!!! Wednesday I had Allies Orthopedic Surgen appt. to see how she has been healing. The Dr. says that everything looks great. She will get her cast off sometime next week and have it replaced with a smaller one that gives her the use of her ellbow. She is excited for that. Thurday Joseph had a field trip to the Zoo, I took all the kids and we went and had a great day at the Zoo. I love being a part of my kids lives and watch them grow. On Friday I had my OB check up along with Michael's 2 year well child check up. I am 17 weeks along and have my ultrasound is on the 1st of June. I can not believe that I am this far along. Crazy I say. Michael is 25 lbs and 33 in long his hieght and wieght are in the 25th% while his head is in the 75th%. We have always known that his head was big. I can not beleive that he is two years old. Anyways this has been the first time that I have bloged all week long. Hope that all are doing great.

Happy Birthday Michael!!!!!

I can not believe that two years has gone by so fast. It seems like just yesterday this sweet little boy was placed in my arms for the first time. It seems like just yesterday I was nursing him. It seems like just yesterday he smiled for the first time, he rolled for the first time, he sat for the first time, and walked and said his first word. All of these things in just two years. WOW!!!! Can you beleive that. I know that I have 5 beautiful kids and this should just be another thing but honestly each time my children have a birthday I can't help to think of allthe wonderful and amazing things they have done with the bodys that Our Heavenly Father has given them. I love each one of them and wish that I could go on having children until the day I die. I will be sad for the day when I can not birth children anymore. Anyways I love all of Gods children and it is my wish one day to be a foster parent and adopt children and give them a good home in which they feel of our love and care for them.

Updates on Michael and Allison

I thought I would update you guys on my children. I took Michael into the ENT and They said they have not seen an ear that has ever looked that bad. He was very surprised that it had ruptured on Sunday be cause it looked like it was going to rupture again. Michael shows now sign of ear ache until it ruptures and ozzes out. Poor guy I tell you I feel for the poor baby and wish that I could go through this for him. In high school I had very painful ear aches that would hurt so bad that I could not turn my neck from side to side. I did not like it at all. Any ways back to Michael, He is on prednisone for 4 days and a stronger antibiotic for ten and when the tissues in his ear are strong enough and well healed he will be getting tubes in his ears!!!! Lets hope that this will do the trick and help him to drain everything that needs drained. He is Back to his normal self and loving every bit of it.

Allison is doing well she had her appointment with the surgen and he said that because she is still so little that her bone is soft and will heal just fine. I am glad of that. I did not want anything that would take a long time for her to heal. She has such a hard time dealing with pain that she does not need anymore than she can handle. I am greatful for the promise made to us in the scriptures that the Lord will not give us more then we are able to bear. She did have her bones reset again and so it is painful for her, thank goodness for pain meds. She picked out blue(her favorite color) for her hard cast. She will be in a cast for approx. 3 weeks . She is having fun with it. Today she has asked her teacher if all the kids could sign her cast and she was thrilled when the Teacher said yes!!!!!

So I think that is about all that I have to give Updates on.

Allsion's trip to the ER with her Dad

If any of you follow my face book you know that I/we as parents at our school are fighting the district on the strict Uniforms that they are trying to pass with the school board. We as parents banded together and expressed our concern and as a result had to go to the School Board meeting to make sure that our opinion would be heard. More on this in a different post. Anyways David was at home with the kids playing Mommy for the evening. Michael was still not feeling well so he was lying with him on the couch. All the other kids were in thier beds. The girls tend to talk and goof around in thier beds until they are tired and David and I don't say much unless they are out of thier beds. I beileve that this is a great time for them to bond and develop friendships. In the middle of this bond Allie some how fell from her top bunk and a blood curdling cry was all it took to wake up Daddy. As Allie walked out of her room David knew and could see that her wrist was badly broken. As a daddy adrenilen kicked in. He raced around to find all the insurance cards and find a babysitter for the reamaining 4 children, and then raced to the hospital about a 25 min drive. I was so pround of him and the way that he handled this. I know that this is a mommy thing and moms are there to comfort but it was a great bonding experience for them. I am greatful for my hubby and all that he does to support me and our family. Allie is doing good. Her Arm is in a splint until latter when we make an appointment with the orthopedic surgen. Her wrist was broke at a 38 degrees angel and in the ER they were able set it back to an 18 degree angle. We will see what they say and then they will cast her. This poor little girl has gone through so much this year and it is not even her birthday yet.

What a Mothers Day!!!!

I had a great day!!!! Although Allison was sick again with a high fever and sore throat, I still got to go to church. David stayed home with Allie and took care of her. I love going to church and learning. I miss it when I don't get to be there. For Relief Socoiety our Bishopric served us cheese cake and fresh fruit. It was quite nice. After church, I came home and David had lunch ready for all of us!!!! We ate and then Michael and I went to lay down for a nap. We slept for about an hour. Michael woke up grumpy so David took him, and I slept some more. I was very tired. But Michael contiunted to cry so I finally had David bring him back to me. He fell asleep. When he woke up he was still crying. Then we discovered his Ear drumb had rupttered. It was bad. I took him to urgent care to get some meds for him. poor guy. And this morning he is still in pain, he has been on antibiotics, ear drops and tylenol. So after a long day I still had a great mothers day. I love my children and would never trade being a mother for anything!!!!!

We are going to be welcoming a new arrival in October

David and I are expecting number 6!!!!!! We are so excited. Can you beleive that. It seems just like yesterday that we had our first Joseph. Now after 3 boys and 2 girls we are going to yet have another one. I love all of my children so much. They are why David and I keep living. What a blessing from Our Father in Heaven to send such sweet Spirits to be with us. I pray daily for guideness that we are doing the right thing for each of them. We love them so much. Any ways we do not have names and have no idea what it will be. I have a feeling it will be a boy but all the other kids say it is a girl. So there it is. Any guesses on what it will be? We are due Oct 27 2009. This pregnacy has been very good so far. A few head aches. Tired off and on I take a nap about twice a week, and try to go to bed at 9:30pm every night. So far this has been the best Pregnacy yet. I was a little worried sence I started out with 20 extra lbs and I am 30 but Heavenly Father has continued to bless me and my health, and for that I am greatful for.

Allison is sick again

Well Allie has been sick sense Tuesday night. She has had a very high fever and only goes away when we give her IBprophin. Along with this a very runny nose and alot of congestion. Poor girl, she has had a rough year. We were hoping that because of her Tonsils being removed she would beable to not get so sick but here she is sick again. We will be getting in to the Dr. to figure what is going on with this poor girl. Hopefully we can get some answers as to why high fevors and such. She is such a beautiful girl.

I love quotes like this

My sister says this and I thought it was quite good. "Cry a river build a bridge and then get over it." I really like this, it hits home often. Life is all about the attitude that we have about life and what we do with it. We can dwell on what is positive and life becomes easy, but if we wallow in our trials and always think of how bad we are in life then we become sad and depressed. So cry a river, build a bridge, and then get over it!!!!

Maddie and her wild imagination

Last night we went to JCpenny's to get a swimsuit for Maddie our fast growing 3 year old. I had a coupon for 10 dollars of of a 10 dollar purchase. Her swim suit was on sale for $9.99 so we picked it up for free. She was so proud of her new suit she carried it around with her all night long and then slept with. She would have slept in it if I let her. She woke up Sunday morning and was sad that it was not Monday so we could go the YMCA. So she got ready for church with her swim suit in hand when I told her that we could not take it to church she exclaimed but it will be sad and it will cry with out me so I need to bring it. I love the imagiation of our little 3 yar old.

A true boy will find and a way to make mud

It has been a wonderful and beautiful week and my kids have been loving the warmth and sunlight. Because there is a big pile of dirt waiting to be planted with our garden it is a prime target for digging with little shovels and big imaginations. Well Michael has grown into an exploring little courious boy with all that comes along with boyhood. There has not been rain all week so the dirt is pretty dry and as many moms know little boys love mud more than dirt. There was no water outside but apprently he had rememberd that there was some water that he had spilled in side one the kitchen floor. So two shovel scoops latter mom had discovered his masterpiece that he was so proud of. He just couldn't understand why mom would not let him continue in this new found fun of making mud in on the kitchen floor. For this is why I love motherhood all these moments that we find ourselves in day in and day out. Mess after mess, lesson after lesson. It is our choice to make it a good one and that I try to do daily and somehow life seems worth going on to the next day

Maddies Declares.......

We were all outside working in the yard with the flowers and such when Maddie says I got a poke. Darn now it is a hole. Then she came over to me and said Mom we have to go right now to the store. I of course asked her why and was very intrested in what she had to say. Her reply was We need to get a NEW MADDIE the old one is broken and it has hole in her. She is so darn cute!!!!!!!!

Happy St. Pattricks Day

Today we had some fun with the Holiday. To start off I went to work out at the YMCA with a couple of my girl friends. The kids love to play there they just love it. Then we all headed over to my house where we had lunch Mac and Cheese green style. Then because it was such a beautiful day the kids palyed out side. We had hoped for them to frost some sugar cookies but the sunshine was calling to all the kids to come and play!!! So we mommies frosted them and brought them out to the kids. We also decorated shamrocks with macaroni noodles and cereal. the kids had so much fun. There are days when I wish i could do this every day. But I do have to remind myself that I must not run faster then I have strength.

Michael and his ever so sweet words

I can not believe that My baby is talking. OK so he is almost 2 but it amazes me because my other 2 boys did not talkuntil they were 3 so to hear his voice say these cute little words just amazes me. Here are some of the words that he says: down, off, done , milk, jucie, please, thankyou, I love you, up and the list goes on. It seems that every day there are new ones to add. I love my children they are just so beautiful. I can hardly wait to have our next one. Well I must get back to the children.

Allison had her surgrey 1 week ago Last Friday. She is doing better and not on any pain meds anymore, yet she is still a little uncomfortable. She is still not on a regular diet she is getting tired of icecream milk shakes and yougourt, and jello. But she is being a great sport. I hope that she will start to feel better. The night time is the hardest because her throat get so dry and it causes it to hurt. So she has been taking water to bed with her to bed at night. Some how she still ends up in our bed by early morning. She has been such a great trooper. Her spunck and personality is still with her, of which I am glad. she is so funny and hummurs us all. Allison and her visit to the ENT specialist

My little Allie, ok so she is getting so big can you beleive that. She is know to get sick alot, and in the last month has had tonslitis twice. High fever and swollen lynmthnodes the size of walnuts. I know I felt so bad for her, being her mom and watching her just lay there listlis and hot was just so sad. The first time the Dr. said if this reaccures then we will send her over to the ENT and have her checked out. So we got her antibotics and went home she was doing great within 2 days!!!! I was so glad. She finished her 10 day course and was doing great. She had been off antibotics for 5 days when BAM it came back again in full force, luckly I was in the DR. that day and he gave us another round of antibotics, and said that we needed to get into the ENT right away. We went to the ENT who was suprsised to see that she had had tonsilitis 2 in 3 1/2 weeks. He said ususally we want them to have it 5 times in 1 year before we do any thing but because her tonsils were abnormal he wanted to take them out. So on Friday morning Allie gets to go in for surgrey tog et them taken out. I think she is a little worried about it. At every prayer she prays that her surgrey will go well. This little girl has so much faith she amazes me. She is not afraid to ask Heavenly Father for anything at all. I love her and each time we talk her spirit is so strong. I feel very blessed to have been trusted by our Father in Heaven to care and love and teach her. She is a wonderful 6 year old.

Refelcting back on the last few years

I am greatful for journals and blogs and pictures so that I can remember things and enjoy those moments over and over again. I have been Scrapbooking today a bit and all those memories come flooding back. Maybe thats why I enjoy scrapbooking.

Funny things that my kids say

I love how 3 and 4 year olds talk in fact I could listen to them all day if I could just because it puts a smile on my face and they are so funny that you may hear me chuckle. We have corndogs alot for lunch because they are quick and easy and the kids love them, and you can dip them in scap-sup ( catsup) Spencer has been in speech sense he was 18 months and is doing much better but he has a hard time with the ch and the th sounds so it is fun to hear hime pronounce his words. Maddie on the other hand loves to sing, I think she sings more then she talks. I will be in the living room and she will be in her room for quiet time and she is in there makebeleiving and playing with her dolls to day she was singing to her furiture and telling them to get out of her dolls way. She is just funny. In our van we listen to the primary songs as we drive and Call to Serve came on and I was surpried that she knew all the words to it and was belting it out. I love them so much they just make me smile.

Marriage Matters

I have been thinking alot about my Marriage and life and happiness and where I fit in all of this. Life was so wonderful and easy when I was single. A care free life stlye that is what I was living. Then one day I saw this amazing young man that was very interesting and I started to find ways to get to know him. I remember wanting to be loved first. Yet he did not really pay attention to me at first. It took some time. He asked me out on a date and I thought yes now he is paying attention to me. We went out and all I wanted to do was hold hands. Now looking back I saw myself as selfish and him as cautious. I was mad and thought that he did not like me and why did he ask me out. I have sense come to a consenses that a relationship of any kind has to grow, it does not already come full grown ready to work. No one must plant a seed and then nurish it and care for it and if that ever stopped be prepared for it to die.
Today I feel like I have stopped nurishing that seed and it is slowing wilting. I see my wonderful husband still watering it and caring for it, but why have I stopped. I guess it is alittle of two things my own selfishness and the things of the would have clouded my veiw of what my marriage really is all about. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband very much a love that just needs more of my attention. I have a hard time balancing my time. Sense having children my efforts have shifted and I am now charged with raising 5 wonderful children. They are sweet and beautiful. I would never want to hurt them. I teach them all I know and as they grew and mature I am realizing they are watching me and doing as I do. They are learning what I teach them. And some things I wish for them not to do but my example is strong. They have learned to be harsh to one another and to their parents. I am not hear to badger myself and put me down only hear to say that we are all doing things at some point or another that we do not want our kids to do or say or act. I have been working at this for some time to make things different in our home and I realize that this will take much longer to correct then it was to teach. By trying to keep my calm and find the possitive things that are around me I have seen more smiles and less saddness in my children. But how do I do this with my husband. I think to myself he is an adult and he should know better. I try to correct him only to find that I hurt him and then I feel bad too. I know that the only way to help me see my husband for who he is and not what he may do or say is The Lord our Savior Jesus Christ. To him I am grateful for his love and mercy. For the gift of repentance. I know that through the Atonement of our Savior is the only way to contiune to nurish and care for our marriage. As I kneel in prayer to ask for help and guidenece and forgiveness that it will come, sometimes slowly but it does come and the peace enters. This is one eternal round and we must constantly do this so that we may keep the seed nurished.

I love my husband and could not do life without him. He is truley wonderful!!!!!!
