This week has been busy. I am always thankful when Sunday night rolls around. Although it begins late, since we have late church, it is really the most relaxing few hours of my week! Today, I am grateful for:
- an incredible ward family. Our ward had some heartache this week as we lost a young member in a tragic accident. I am grateful for the countless examples of selfless service we were able to witness and hear about as the affected family was buoyed up and sustained by their friends. It is a beautiful thing to watch people serve as Christ would have.
- a successful piano recital this evening. Audrey and Parker played so well. I say this every time, but I am impressed with anybody who can memorize anything (as it is a skill I lack). Parker played two pieces and Audrey played three! I'll post videos soon.
- the nasal steroid spray I started using this week. My allergies were becoming really ridiculous, and I am grateful that I have easy access to a doctor and a pharmacy to help me.
- religion class. I attended most Thursday mornings this past semester and am so grateful I did. I gained a newfound love for applying the scriptures in my life and have some super great notes for the next time I read the Book of Mormon.
- waiting to send Miles to kindergarten. He could have attended this past school year, and I have been grateful many times over that he didn't. I know that this fall he will be ready. I think I will be, too, but I'm in no hurry for August 27th.

i'm grateful that i decided to wait to send stella to kindergarten, too. an extra year at home is a wonderful thing!
so sorry to hear about the tragedy in your ward. but you're right, you have an incredible ward family! i'm so glad you live where you do.
Cool tie Parker. It looks great on you. Congrats to your favorite player Josh Hamilton hitting 4 home runs in one game. Josh has the most God-given talent for playing baseball that I have ever seen. Go Rangers!!
ps Darvish is the real deal. He has the best pitching form that I have ever seen.
that tie is really cool - wonder if they make them in grandpa sizes as my dad would love one.
i, too, loved attending your BOM class when there - wish there was something in place for me here as i am lazy about my scripture study without a class to force me.
as you are always one step ahead of me in regards to kids, i can feel your emotion in regards to miles and anticipate it with ethan. it is such a comfort that i can always turn to you, dear friend, who will have lived through and have words of wisdom on how to be strong through momens that tugg at a mama's heart. what would i do without you?
