Blue, was not the colour of Ocean. But its attachment to borderless blue sky has made it impossible to retain its true colour-colourlessness. And when sun sinks below the horizon, ocean treacherously turns into dark, full of enigma & mystery. The colour of ocean, changes like the weather, unpredictable. So, this blog serves as the indicator to show my changing feelings, qualms & notions from time to time.

Quotes that Accompanied My Adolescence
Friday, November 29, 2013

Open your eyes y'all
This is a wake up call !
For those ignorant people of the world
Another tragedy headlining the news today
People fighting each other to get ahead
又是政客 在胡言亂語show off (Diam lah!)
People playing politics to misleading the people (Shut up!)
(Oh please loh!)
Celebrities making up gossips for fame (Oh come on!)
Everyone thinking they deserve to be special
Lustful thoughts out to get you at every turn
Keep showing off your material wealth
So what else do you wanna prove here?
You keep asking for more in life
But do not know when to stop
You said you can face all the hardship
Easy come easy go
You think mankind can overcome nature
No trouble is too much trouble
But when the boogeyman comes knocking
Times up and there will be nowhere else to hide
We're nothing at all We've got nothing at all
When you're trying hard to be king of the world
We're nothing at all We've got nothing at all
Can't you see that we're only hurting this world?
Our path leading to a dead end we cannot escape
Our destiny written long before we set foot on earth
Karma awaits and time to face the music
One by one we suffer the same fate
You can only cry out loud
Staring at the lifeless body of your love ones
All your materialistic belongings
Turning into waste when disaster come claiming
We wait for our sentence on judgment day
The door at hell's gate soon opens
Will the world finally ends tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?
In the blink of an eye
The clock could turn back a million years
Happiness no longer exist in what we used to call home
We're nothing at all We've got nothing at all
When you're trying hard to be king of the world
We're nothing at all We've got nothing at all
Can't you see that we're only hurting this world?
Can I catch my breath Before I say 'i love you'
Can we kiss again under the poison rainfall?
Can I hold you tight Until tomorrow?
Or tomorrow ...There'll never be tomorrow ...
So what have we learned from the misfortunes of others
Or it's good entertainment cos it's not in your backyard
So continue living your own irresponsible and ignorant life
Feed your guilty conscience by abusing your god's forgiveness
Between heaven and earth lies a lost species
Thinking that this can last forever but they're wrong
We're nothing at all We've got nothing at all
When you're trying hard to be king of the world
We're nothing at all We've got nothing at all
Can't you see that we're only hurting this world?

Plan B, C, D ... Z = Achieving Plan A
Yesterday,
I was asked by a person to share my future planning after graduation. So, I
went on explaining what and how I could realize each plan, in macro
perspective. Then, he asked me if my plans were fail, what would I do? At that
point of time, I couldn’t think of anything else, but only to achieve my plan.
So, I said this while smiling all the way, “My plan B is to find ways to
achieve my initial plan.” Then, he knew the power of a dream, once on, will
instill tremendous willpowers & faith in oneself. You’ll never get to
understand the meaning of “tiredness”.

Deli-Deli,
Organization is Like a Parallel Circuit
Organization is like a parallel circuit. Each branch is akin to departments in a company/organization. Imagine below:

Voltage = Organization's vision
Current = Resources (for example, money)
Resistance = Talent
Justification to the analogy above:
in a parallel circuit, all voltage is equal in each branch, this means all of the departmental directions should be aligned to one common organization's vision, and JUST ONE. Voltage has another term to describe itself, it's called potential difference. Well, we know that, electrons must be acted on a potential difference so that they could drift from one end to another end. So, potential difference (p.d) or voltage is comparable to a vision that drive everyone to move towards one direction! Justified?
It seems like resistance can hardly be understood as talents, because the norm suggests that talents are the movers, change agents or doer in a company. However, in this context, we view every human as trouble-maker, anchoring on a philosophy "where there are human, there are problems". On the other hand, talents can be both a problem solvers and problem makers, depending on its "magnitude of resistance". Generally, you can assume, people of lower resistance as problem solvers whereas people of higher resistance as problem maker. In each branch is also another set of series circuit, where the capability of a department is measured in terms of its "resistance" of each talented individual. Sounds logical to you?
Current, is rather a response to the arrangement of Resistors in the overall parallel circuit. This means, if you have high value of resistance, you take in more resource (current), with regard to Ohm's Law. Think about it, efficient people takes in little resources to accomplish the same task as compared to his less efficient counterpart. So, you will notice that larger current is being passed when going across a resistor, because efficient people don't need much resources. And the opposite is true as well. So, back to the previous point, arrangement of your people in a team comes rather important =)
Lastly, if the the combination of resistance is not right, you may not get the right "value of voltage", so, it seems to me that voltage can be seen as the measure of success (MoS) of an organization or a company. Talent is always the problem. It's always worth the time, efforts and energy to really think about which talents to be absorbed into your organization or a company, if you really want to achieve great success.
Happy Wednesday =)

Sharing My Happiness with My Mum Instantly
After getting to know that I am shortlisted to proceed to the next round of Iskandar Malaysia Case Challenge 2013 organized by Frost & Sullivan Consultancy company, I am immensely happy. Instantly, I shared this joyous news with my mum. Called up her, but she didn't pick up, I suppose she's busy working now.
I've spent considerable time in preparing for this challenge. For 5 nights in a row, I didn't sleep well, skipped classes, putting my thesis aside, my laptop was also not switched off just to keep pace with me.
While many are still studying hard, I joined some unconventional contest that could offer me employment opportunity and even rewards if I were to be in the TOP 25, and now I am in, TOP 25, next is to aim for TOP 3 =)
Thank you, my friends who have been constantly supporting me, and I want to especially thank Nancy Gan (who gave me feedback on my ideas & slides), Wei Ken (who willing to spend time discussing the realities in JB since he is from there), Chee Kien (who has been a good brother to me since 1st year) and many more others who were simply amazing. Wish me luck =)

Do Not Give in to Ego
How many times one fails too often because of the same mistake, that is giving in to one's ego?
How many people choose to defend their own standpoint out of ego, subsequently succumb to total failure as people right their wrong. If they stubbornly persist, you will find these people are one of the loneliest groups in the world.
How many seemingly great individuals work for fame and ruin their virtues, unknowingly, until the moment they realized they have lost precious people close to them?
I admit that myself too, do have some egos in me, fortunately, I made countless, continuous reflections daily along the journey, so I am very sure of what I am thinking, what has prompted me to make certain decisions.
Ego, itself is a very evil thing. It permeates into your thought without you even knowing it, then slowly it blurs your vision, poison your thoughts and potentially destroy the positive rapport you built earlier with people whom you care.
As I examine my own thought pattern, as well as observing the mannerism of people around me, I often spotted one flaw, they tend to inflate themselves by telling the world how great they are. Don't you realize it when you say you have achieve that and that on Facebook is also a manifestation of ego. (In fact, the reason why Facebook is so hugely successful is because it plays into our ego so well. Examine yourself WHY you posted certain things other than just plain reason of expressing yourself. No offense, you posted something because you wanted to be known, you wanted your friends to be happy for your achievement, and E.T.C reasons)
But all these very people who I categorize them as egoistic, they are not necessary bad people, but the opposite is rather more accurate. They have ambitions, dreams, desires (in Buddhism, we call these as attachment, but let alone Buddhism this time). They want to achieve some GREAT GOOD for mankind, at the same time, they want everybody knows about how great they are. Most of the people profess even before achieving great good for his family or even to himself. Like it or not, these very people could be your best friend, your snobbish lecturer, the list goes on and on.
I am not here to point out others' flaw, I am here to remind myself and my dear readers, do not give in to EGO. Observe your thought pattern, and be very careful in picking the RIGHT thought so as not to let EGO prevails against you.
Note to self: Achieve great good for mankind and have nobody knew it except myself.
Cheers! =)

Departure of Another Partner
