Weekend Weirdos

I like to spend most of my weekends in search of the weird people, it makes blogging fun and there's so many of them out there. I've run into a bit of a blogging dry spell so this weekend is crucial. Since I wasted my Friday already because of my sunshine and lollipops mood, today I need to be particularly alert for morons. It won't be easy I have to spend part of my evening at the nursing home my mother-in-law now resides in for the next 6 - 8 weeks because of her latest fall Monday. The time I spend there will be wasted when it comes to post ideas, because the people there are sitting ducks. It would be way to easy and I have bad karma issues. I will be on my best behavior unless I can't help myself, unless ........

I selfishly push my kids into a hopeless situation. Hey there's an idea. Use the children to feed your blog. But wait, they are the ones that will be picking out my nursing home. This is a dilemma.

Sue and Bill's Wild Weekend Part 3: And This Will Be It Then

The uneventful vacations, the fun-filled, stress free vacations, are the ones the husband and I take alone. When we returned from our wild weekend, no-one had broken anyone else's arm, there was no throw-up in the back seat and the car didn't lose a door. We just came home and unpacked, with a lot less money, but we would have ended up spending it on the catastrophies that are our children anyway. I can't think of one vacation we've taken throughout the years that they didn't screw up in some way, we've been going about this vacation thing all wrong. We will be leaving them behind from now on.
Just in case my boys read this, "Mommy loves you!"

I have been roasted over at Confessions of a Reforming Geek or the husband has been, I think both of us. But Reforming Geek lumped me in with a couple of really good bloggers, Bee of Bee's Musings and Kirsten of The Soccer Mom Files, so I'm feeling pretty cool right now.
Thank you Reforming Geek!

The Adventure That Is WalMart

For those of you who have never experienced a "big snow" like we Northerner's just experienced, I thought I'd paint you a picture. Imagine a parking lot if you will, say WalMart. When a foot of snow dumps on an area like a parking lot, it's only logical that the establishment plows the snow away to avoid chaos. There has been some plowing in that parking lot, I'll give them that, but not a whole hell of a lot. When every other car you see has spinning tires, some more plowing should be done. This is how I felt as I drove into WalMarts parking lot, there are other stores in that shopping area, but I'm just blaming it on WalMart.
I drove my four-wheel drive SUV into the parking lot,
"What the &%$@? Don't they know what a &$@$*%# plow is for? Are they total A$$&$@%'s?"
That's how I sound when I'm in my car by myself! It's a great stress reliever, to swear like a drunken sailor.
After my profanity laced outburst, I laughed a little laugh. I have four wheel drive, what the hell do I care. Four wheel drive vehicles make you cocky. So already I'm cocky and self assured, a dangerous combination when it's the end of the week and so few precious brain cells are active. I got the brain cells, it's just that at the end of the week, starting my lazy weekends, I put some of them to sleep. Why clutter your head with rational thoughts when it's not really necessary? Well I'll tell you why. Because shopping carts don't have four wheel drive. Cocky and self assurance went out the window while I pulled my shopping cart inch by inch through the un-plowed, snow covered, adventure that is WalMart.

My Weekend in a Nutshell

I was asked on my chatbox how my weekend was going. There isn't much room there to elaborate so I said good. It was good. Hold on to something I plan to elaborate. Actually, besides being colder than a witches tit in a brass bra, it was good. Did I just type tit?
First of all I'm happy to let all my readers know that the neighbor across the street finally took her Christmas wreath off her front door. This was a huge distraction for me, as I would look out my office window searching for some insightful verbiage in a post and there hung the wreath. My mind would then wander off.
Second of all, Sunday was the husbands birthday and my mom volunteered to have everyone to her house for dinner. I didn't have to clean my house or hardly cook. That worked out well for me. The house is a complete disaster because I have my new domain name and hosting all set up, thank you Val, and I messed around with that all day Saturday.
Speaking of my new blog, if anyone can help me with this latest email from tech support I would be most grateful:

Your router is blocking "ICMP Ping Requests" and that is why the trace route is failing. You should consult your router's documentation to see how to enable this again. As for your firewall situation, you are either being blocked by your router if it has a built in firewall or by Norton. Again, you would need to consult the software documentation to look into how to create firewall exceptions for cPanel.

I can log in or open any other site that my little heart desires except my cpanel at SurpassHosting. I will be plastering this question around the blogs and message boards today as I am anxious to get www.diabeticride.com up and running!
I am understanding it as I need to tell my computer to give a site more time to hook up together. Feel free to laugh at me and talk down to me, but just help!
So yeah, I had a good weekend!
