Baptism

Today was an amazing day in our family.  Mike was baptized by David.  All of our family that is in Colorado was able to attend.  I'm so grateful for all the family and friends who have supported us and were able to be with us today.

Not only was it a special day for our family but for some of the missionaries who have been welcomed in our home along the way.  They weren't all able to come because of different circumstances but we did have a lot of them.  Elder Naulu had a beautiful solo and all my brother in laws were able to participate too.

I love these two, My nephew asked what was better, watching Mike get baptized or David performing it?  I have to say they both hold such a place in my heart that it is something I will never forget and will always be grateful for.  Congratulations my love, I am so happy for the decision you made today.

Sweet 16

16 years ago today and yes probably about this time in the morning my life was about to change.  I didn't know it at the time but I was going to be blessed with my beautiful Krystal.  She was a long labor so she wasn't born for over 36 hours but that is half the time it took for her brother to come.

Krystal was full of personality from the beginning. She has always been curious and asked why. They say that some are born with mature spirits and she definitely was.  At 4 years old, I wasn't fast enough to get her invitations out for her birthday, so she wrote them out herself.  It was the beginning of April and she had to get them done.  So I wrote one out and she finished the rest.

Not much has changed.  Krystal still keeps us on our toes and is still asking why.  She has become such an amazing young lady.  She is so well rounded and the first to ask what she can do to help when we're in a pinch.

Krystal really wanted a car we found for her 16th birthday.  A 1980's Mirada, that isn't happening so this will have to do!  j/k

We have a few things up our sleeves but since this post is early and we are trying to be sneaky I'll post next week about it. I just wanted to make sure that we didn't miss a special post for her Sweet 16!

Krystal you have turned out to be such a wonderful person and absolutely beautiful inside and out.  You make us so proud and glad that you are part of our family!  Hope your 16th Birthday is as wonderful as you've dreamed up in your head.  (even though right now you think that there isn't anything planned).  xoxoxo

ROAD TRIP July 2009

Halloween 2009

Found an old picture of the kids in 2003. Thought it would be a fun way to see how much they've grown. Pretty soon I'll be lucky if they'll take a picture for me! 3 out of 5 pumpkins made it to the porch! David carved way too much and it sort of fell apart. (why it is on his head) Haley tripped on the front porch and the pumpkin flew to its end. While comforting Haley something happened to Reid's pumpkin and it ended up in 2 peices. We're just happy we got to carve pumpkins this year!
