Baby Boy

I seriously thought he just turned 6 months. Then I looked at the calendar and realized this boy is going to be 8 months in just a short week and a half. Sheesh, could time slow down just a little bit? Anyway, here are his 6 month states, nearly 2 months late! (Baby Boy, this doesn't mean I love you any less, it just means I am munching on your cheeks an insane amount of time everyday. And for the record these really were done at 6 months not just now)!

Height - 27.5 in - 85%
Weight 18 lbs 4 oz - 65%

At almost 8 months he is at 20 lbs. give or take. He is also wearing 18 month clothes. I know I say it all of the time but this boy is growing like CRAZY! I also can't say enough good things about him. He really is such an angel. If I didn't have horrible pregnancies and I could guarantee all of my kids to be just like him I would have 10 more, he is that easy and laid back. We all just love him!

He pushes himself so so far when he is on his tummy. Lately he has been trying so hard to get up on his knees. I feel like I want to knock him down!

He loves this play mat he got for Christmas, but he also loves to roll over on it and then he plays under it, it is pretty funny!

LOVES to smile, and LOVES to chew on his hands!

He did this really squinty faced cheese smile for awhile, but I haven't seen it recently. Glad I captured it on camera! This boy really will smile for anybody no matter how tired or grouchy he is! He especially loves his sister and she can get him to giggle at the drop of a hat!

They really do love each other! Cambree can be so mean to him, but yet is always so concerned if he cries. Or if he is napping she is constantly asking where Bridger is.

This picture is a little older but he LOVES his swing! I think his sister loves it just as much, and we are constantly getting after her for climbing all over it and him while he is in it!

The poor boy! He can fall asleep anywhere really! Don't you just want to munch on those chubby little cheeks?

He is getting a lot noisier these days. I think we have his sister to thank for that. He can scream with the best of them! But his favorite noise to make is spitting/blowing raspberries. It gets really annoying when he is eating, but other then that we think it is pretty darn cute. He also has this gurgle that he always does when he is super happy it is so so funny! He has mastered the dadadada sound and just this morning was doing the babababa sound. Now lets just get the mamamama sound down!! He really is the perfect baby!

Firsts!

I know poor Bridger is going to look back at this and see that I never blogged about anything. I really need to do better about keeping caught up. Hopefully I will get most of the important things and he won't hassle me about it too much. Here are some of his firsts!

We started Bridger on rice cereal at 5 1/2 months. Originally I wanted to wait until he was 6 months but he was more then ready earlier so I gave into the fact that maybe my perfect little angel baby really did have to grow up!

This was his reaction the first couple of bites. He never spit any of it out so that was a good sign!

Plus he figured out the spoon right off the bat!

And by the end he was happy as a clam!!
This boy LOVES his food! I still mix everything with baby oatmeal and he gobbles it right up. We usually can't get it into his mouth fast enough. Also I think he may eat us out of house and home. He seriously eats a FULL bowl and still acts like he is hungry when he is finished! Silly boy! He is still nursing great too, and won't take a bottle for the life of him!

April 11 - 6 months he found his TOES! I didn't think this would ever happen because we all thought his big belly would get in the way, but he found them and he loves them!

March 28 - 5 1/2 months he figured out how to roll over both ways!

I think in this bottom picture he was a little surprised at what he just did!

He is now all over the place! Luckily he hasn't been one to put everything in his mouth. He rather sit and study it for a long time! One evening at my mom's we were outside and he had found the thinnest blade of grass and pulled it and was holding it in one hand and admiring and studying it with the other. He played with that blade of grass for quite some time and it never went in his mouth. He is also a tummy sleeper now just like his momma!

Sitting up!

This one is still a work in progress but it has turned into a few minutes instead of just a half a second! I still can't sit him down and walk away and I have to balance him really well before I let go. But if I get him good and balanced he will sit up for a minute or two! But I think he rather just be rolling around and exploring and not just sitting in one place. This picture was also the first time I put gel in his hair! What a cutie!
April 26 - He got his first tooth! Well his first set of teeth. The two front bottom two popped up together, his smile is pretty dang cute!
I think he also gave us our first glimpse into the future on Sunday. He and Cambree were sitting next to each other on the pew in Church and Cambree was singing along to the song with her hymn book and Bridger wanted it. He kept grabbing it from her so Cambree finally moved it to where it was out of his reach. Well he didn't like that so much so he reached up and grabbed and pulled her hair. Just like he knew exactly what he was doing. That little stinker! David and I had a good little chuckle about it! He sure is growing up and I am not really liking it. I want him to stay this little guy forever, he really is just too perfect!

Today

I have felt like I have not accomplished anything today. Or at least nothing that I wanted and needed to get done. But I saw on a friend's blog that she had listed the things she did do. So to make myself feel better, and not to toot my own horn, I am going to make a DONE list instead of a TO DO list!

*woke up way to early and fed the babes!
*Nursed Bridger
*got everyone dressed with diaper changed
*put gas in the car
*went to the park
*made some things for my sister and sister in law (late mother's day gifts)
*made and had lunch
*nursed Bridger/changed diaper
*nap for Bridger
*Watered the garden
*BECAME AN AUNT TO THE CUTEST LITTLE NEPHEW EVER! (not that I did any of the work, good job Jo)!
*started laundry
*Gave Time Out
*Cambree took a nap
*talked to a few friends, my mom, and my hubby a few times
*Nursed Bridger/changed diaper
*switched laundry
*folded laundry
*washed dishes/kitchen
*picked up living room somewhat!
*made dinner (currently it is in the oven)
*kissed hubby when he came home from work, and then again when he left 15 minutes later!
*kissed crying babes!
*Now I am off to switch more laundry!

Before the night is over I am sure I will:
*feed kids and eat dinner
*P.J.'s
*read scriptures
*say prayers
*kiss goodnight
*snuggle my missy in bed
*Nurse Bridger/ change diaper
*put Bridger to bed
*fold more laundry
*pack for Moses Lake with the kiddos tomorrow! gotta see that new nephew!
*finish gifts
*finally hit my head back on the pillow only to be awoken at 4:30 am because Mr. Bridger can't quite figure out how to kick that early morning feeding!

I am sure I am missing something, but I think I feel better now! PHEW!

They say it's her birthday (well it was...March 12...)

her stats at 3 years:
height - 37.25 in. 61%
weight - 29 lbs 31%
One shot and she didn't even cry, she actually giggled!!

My baby girl turned 3 on March 12th. I am still wondering how in the world I got a 3 year old. Although, her baby years were pretty challenging I still miss parts of them. This girl can be pretty sweet when she wants to be. But can still scream, and throw tantrums with the best of them. She is one stubborn, sassy, silly, sweet little 3 year old!

Her birthday happened to fall on a Friday, so we headed to Moses Lake to celebrate with family. Plus it is her Grandpa Byington's birthday as well, they are both pretty proud to share a birthday!

On the car ride up she fell asleep just before we got there with her balloon we got at Toys R Us the night before! We had a big birthday dinner filled with breakfast fixins at the Fackrell's. Cambree loves pancakes and scrambled eggs so that is exactly what she got!

So here is the cake story. I was feeling pretty lazy and didn't want to come up with some huge cake that fed all of us and something all cutsie. So I told David I was just going to make cupcakes. He thought that was too boring and said he could figure something out. She really wanted a castle cake and he said that would be pretty easy. So I got him all the things he would need. and when we got to my mom's on Friday we started to assemble. well he did. then he gave up and I had to finish. It was not constructually sound AT ALL. I thought any minute this thing was going to topple over. And NO it was not the prettiest cake by far, but the girl loved it and that is all that matters! (please try not to laugh out loud while viewing this piece of art...actually I know it is pretty hideous, laugh all you want)!

I should have gotten a side view so you could see how far it was leaning!

she could NOT wait to open all of her presents. she had a MILLION and ONE!! Seriously this girl got spoiled!
Here are the birthday kids! Grandpa got her this little gardening apron and matching gloves, she loved it!

She loved when everyone sang to her, she even clapped when we were done! (the cake is looking even worse here, because it had to endure the car ride from my parent's to the Fackrell's, and it is starting to settle...)

The next day we hopped in the car with my family and headed to Courd'e Lane to the Raptor Reef indoor water park. It is hooked to a Holiday Inn and we scored a sweet deal on their family room that slept ALL 11 of us comfortably! We had a blast!

This is Bridger's first time in a pool. His facial expression NEVER changed. he couldn't have cared less if he was in the water or not. He slept a lot of the time we were swimming. He was such a good baby!

This girl LOVES her brother, maybe a little too much!

She got this new swimsuit for her Birthday. she still talks about the swimming park. she LOVED it! We actually have a Holiday Inn right by our house and everytime we pass it she says, "mom we slept there last night and went swimming at the water park!" Silly girl. They had this kiddie area that she LOVED and swam the whole time. she did not want to get out. She even went down the slides and basically had the time of her life!

I will say though, one downfall to the whole place. it is indoor, therefore, lots of chemical smells. we all were coughing pretty bad. Some of us older kids went back after dinner and we were ALL coughing uncontrollable...to the point of puking, yes most of us did. It was crazy. But the lifegaurds said that happens ALL OF THE TIME. I wonder what they could do differently that people wouldn't puke, or cough for that matter...?

This girl LOVES all of her Uncles and Aunts. I think she would prefer living at Grandma's and Grandpa's then with us. She talks and asks to go visit them pretty much on a daily basis. Here she is with Uncle Taylor, and for some reason thought it was funny to show me her gum!

I'd say from this picture she had a pretty good 3rd birthday! (note: that picture on her shirt was half picked off by the time we made it home Sunday night. little stinker. I ended up picking the rest of it off so she could at least keep wearing the outfit)

I think her most favorite present was her bike she got from mom and dad! SHE LOVES RIDING HER BIKE!!!

I am pretty sure she dressed herself in this pic!
