yay for summer!!

We just love the park, we go EVERY morning at 10 am (well except sunday of course) and exercise for and hour then (well I exercise while she sleeps) then we play in the water. Our friends havent been able to make it this week so they are going to love that the water is turned on now. Madison just laughs and laughs (of course you cant tell because the little turkey never smiles for the camera)

We fed Madison her first food this week!! Anyone like squash...or peas....Right away she wanted to help put the spoon in her mouth...now i know she is not wearing a bib but in my defense, she was already dirty so why bother. anyway It is a VERY messy process right now. I love that she wants to help, but dont grab the part of the spoon with all the food on it.. we found out today that she LOVES bananas. How could I have given birth to a child that likes bananas...gross.

She is laughing hysterically at Evan in this one but of course I had to take a picture from the side so she wouldn't see me. Every time she saw the camera she would stop. One day I will capture a good smile.

4 month check-up

Madison check up went really well. She only screamed for a few minutes after her shots then fell right to sleep, i guess thats what i get for scheduling them during her n ap time right..hehe. Well here are her stats

Height: 24 1/2 in Percentile: 50th

Weight: 13 1/2 lbs Percentile: 50th

Head: 16 1/2 Percentile: 50th

It seems we have a VERY average child. Thats okay with me.

working out

I have started working out again! Well i guess i have been doing my DVD's but doing it by myself, honestly, dont push myself. Now that the sun is out and its warm Madison and I go on a 1 hr long walk with a friend of ours and her child. So we run to the park (okay okay we lightly jog, lets be honest) walk with them then attempt to jog home. Its made me feel better about myself but i still have a LONG way to go. I still have to lose 15 lbs. There I said it now i actually have to do it. I need to start running without Madison when Evan is home or maybe we can all run together and he can push her. Either way i would like to lose a few pounds a week. So it starts today! My brother gets married June 13th so i need to lose some of it by then!! HERE WE GO!

Evans graduated!!

below:Evan and his friend Jo......his graduating class..what a big class.

Madison with her little purse grandma sanders got her.

Yes it's true Evan has graduated with his Master's degree from Gonzaga University in Sports Administration. He has worked so hard and is so glad to be done. He didn't walk for his bachelors but he decided to do it for his Masters. Well now we are all thinking, what was the point. It came his turn, he handed the guy his card, (he happened to be the last one from his degree so he had that sticker on his card) and the guy didn't even read his name, just said "this concludes Sports Management") Umm EXCUSE ME!!! Evan stood there for a minute then they moved him forward. They all knew that they screwed up but somehow the guy didn't feel it necessary to go back to the card and read his name. Oh we were all mad!!!! His Parents are writing a letter to the school and already talked to them in person! Way to go Carl! Anyway it was hurtful but what can we do about it now. He still has graduated in 15 months, because of him they are making it so you have to take 2 years to do it. Good job babe. I love you.

I would post the video but I dont know how so we I will have Evan do it when he has a minute.

We also celebrated mothers day. Being my first mothers day it made me appreciate my mother even more and everything she has had to do. I can't believe she traveled by herself with 3 of us. I truley love being a mom and couldnt ask for a better little family.

oh what a weekend

On the first weekend in May, our baby girl had surgery. She was born with a hemangioma on her libia (her private area). The doctors said it should just go away and shouldn't bother her.

For the last few weeks she has had this blood curtling scream and we had no idea what was wrong. So I took her to a doctor, not her doctor he wasnt available, but another one who said she had an ear infection....well the weekend went by and still nothing it got even worse. During her bath I noticed that this hemangioma wasn't looking normal, but who was i to judge what was normal or not. Monday morning rolls around and I promptley take her to her doctor. And he said there is NO ear infection. He looked at the hemangioma and it was pussy and an open wound by now and decided he wanted it removed. Thats what was causing all the pain.

So after a few phone calls he found the ONLY doctor in Spokane that would do it on a child do young. We just had to wait a week.....okay whats one more week. The day of teh surgery rolls around and i cant feed her for 6 hours before because she has to be under anastesia. That was painful for both of us. By the time they came and got her we were both crying and Evan didnt know that to do with himself.

Doctor Elizabeth Petersen was so amazing, she is a perfectionist and is so personable. We couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

The transformation even the same afternoon she had the surgery her personality was so different, she became this happy child that could move freely with very minimal pain (im sure the stitches bothered her) it was amazing!! I actually dont dread changing her diaper now, instead of her screaming in pain she just smiles at me. It is something i am VERY grateful for.
Another bonus is she now only wakes us once sometimes twice during the night instead of 6 or more times. YAY!!!!
