A Blog A DAY…December

Sophia had so much fun during the month of December! Breakfast with Santa and the Xmas holidays. She was a pro at opening her presents! You would have though she had done this before???

Sophi did get some practice with opening presents from her Auntie J. She got to open a present each day for the 12 days leading up to Christmas.

She got her own cell phone from her Abuela.

Opening presents with Mommy and Daddy on Christmas morning, she couldn’t get enough! Can’t wait until next year.

A Month A DAY

So I have decided to catch everyone up to speed on little miss Sophia. I am on spring break and really want to get this blog up to date. I have tons of adorable pictures! So I am going to do a different month each day until I get caught up to March.

Sophia was a great sport during the holidays. She loves being around people!

Thanksgiving day was a big day for her, family and food…she decided to take a quick nap while people were finishing dessert.

 

No she is not potty trained! Sam thought this would make a good picture.

She loves play time. She goes crazy in her jumpy, I will have to post video of this. Some times I think she is going to jump out of the thing.

A Month A DAY….

So here we go with the end of October, Halloween……

Sophia & John at the Pumpkin Patch

Today Sophia and John went to pick out their pumpkins for Halloween. It was a beautiful evening, we had a great time. Sophia was so cute. She really didn’t have any idea what was going on but she was a great sport. We took pictures as she looked around trying to figure out what the pumpkins were all about.

Sophia’s Christening

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, League City, TX

So many family member’s came out to support Sophia, Sam & and I and her Godparents – Lizzy & Tony and John & Jacki. The ceremony included 9 other members of the church. But Sophia was front and center and by far had the most supporters there. It was great that it was at the same church Sam & I got married in about a year ago. The ceremony started at 7:00 in the evening and lasted about 30 minutes or so…good thing towards the end many of the little ones were crying! But not Sophia, she was perfect :) 

After the ceremony we headed back to our house for dessert and coffee. We had so much fun with everyone! Sophia is going to look back on this day and just know how special and loved she is by everyone.

Sophia’s First Vacation

July 16 – 20, 2010     Pirates Beach - Galveston, Texas

We went to the beach for five days and Sophia was a perfect 2 month old! We went with my mom and brother’s and sister and their families. It was too hot for Sophia to actually go out during the day so we kept her inside. Sam and I took turns going out to the beach with everyone else or staying in with Sophia. She was never bored though, she loved all the attention and people. Never a dull moment. She wanted to be right in the middle of it all and then she would fall asleep to the sounds of our voices. Around 7:00 each night we put her in her stroller and took her for a walk. She loved the ocean breeze and all the new sounds she was hearing. We had so much fun, this is the first year of our new family tradition.
