Swimming

One of the fun things we did on our trip (among other things such as: going to Chuckie Cheese, playing with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and going to the ranch) was go swimming.

The kids had a blast!  And Alayna has constantly asked to go swimming since.  Lucky for her, we live in a place where you NEED to go swimming/play in the water on a regular basis.

We got a few pictures to document the fun.

Alayna and Aunt Sarah.
KaLee having a proud mommy moment when Easton went down the slide on his own for the first time.  Is this not a precious picture?
Hanging out in the shallow end.
Kendree's excited face after blowing bubbles.
Alayna going down the slide.  Of course, it took awhile for her to decide that she even wanted to go down it, but once she did, there was no turning back.  I would have to say she went down the slide no less than 20 times.
Daddy and Layna.

KaLee and Kendree.  Too cute.

Brylen's blessing

While we were in Laramie, we figured we would bless Brylen since it's closer for our families.

Dan gave a beautiful blessing to a beautiful baby girl.  We are SO grateful she is in our family.

It's a lot of work to take pictures of all the family.  And it's no easy task to get everyone looking the same direction when there are so many people taking pictures.  Nevertheless, here's a few.

Our family of four.

Dan's mon made Brylen's dress and it was BEAUTIFUL!  You can't see it great in these pictures, but we did have a photoshoot of her in her dress, but that is for another post.

Those kids of mine...

are growing.

How dare they!

This big girl is getting bigger by the second.  And the attitude is also getting bigger by the second....
And this little Miss has mastered art of smiling.  Maybe one of these days I will be lucky enough to catch one on camera.

Isn't she looking older?

Darn her.

All tuckered out

Brylen had so much fun with all the family that there were times she just. couldn't. keep. her. eyes. open. any. longer.

One day after taking a bath, the heater was blowing on her and literally in a matter of seconds she went from this:

to this:
Boy was she out.  Ahh, the life of a baby.
Another time the girls went out for ice cream and I walked in the door to see this:
I don't know how comfortable that is....apparently comfortable enough to fall asleep.

And yet another cute sleeping picture.
I think it is safe to say Miss Brylen was definitely loved on while in Wyoming!

Adam graduated

We've been a little MIA lately and for good reason.

My little brother, Adam, graduated from college so we took the opportunity to visit the fam for TWO weeks!

It was heaven.  Dan hadn't been back to Laramie since we moved over a year and a half ago so he was excited to visit places that he loves  (AKA: Corona Village and the ranch.)  as well as see people he hasn't seen in a long time.

I'll give you a run down of our trip in a series of posts, but for now let's focus on how proud we are of Ad.  He graduated with a double major: Spanish and Business with a minor in banking and financial services.

Walking across the stage.
The graduate and proud wife.
Proud parents.
We are so proud of you, Ad!  Can't wait to see what adventures come your way!

One Month

This sweet baby is one month old!

Can you believe it?  Me neither.

I was telling my mom the other day that in some ways it seems like she has been in our family forever.  I can't  imagine life without her.  She completes our family and we are in LOVE with her.

It's safe to say that I have completely enjoyed this last month of newborn-ness.  I remembered how quickly this time goes by and I have been trying to soak in every minute.  There truly is nothing like a newborn babe.

Seriously.  Is she not the most beautiful baby ever?!?

(I may be a little biased.)

The latest in pictures

This little gal is still cute as ever.

Despite what all these pictures may suggest, she does not sleep all the time.  She is becoming more and more alert and awake.  I must just be a little too busy lovin' on her to take any pictures. :)

And this big sister is just acting more and more grown up all the time.  Lately she thinks mom's heels are the coolest.  In fact, she has even asked to ride her bike while wearing them.  Somehow I don't think that would go over well.....

Moving on up...

to a big girl bike.

We have been contemplating getting a bigger bike for Alayna for quite awhile now.  And all it took for Alayna to be on board was a little peer pressure.

Well, not really.  But once her friend, Nate, got a bike with training wheels, we didn't hear the end of it.  And before I knew it, Dan came home with a brand new red bike with training wheels.

And yes, Alayna did choose the red bike over the pink.  That's my girl!

Pretty much you can find her riding her bike every day of the week.  Especially when we go and get the mail.
