Fast Forward...September 2014

Well, here we are and a lot of changes!  Since my last post, I have taken a position with C4 Database Management and Consulting and loving it.  We felt this is the best decision for our family and allows me to keep our family as priority and spending more time with our spunky Emma Claire - the real reason we still have at least 1 follower still keeping tabs on us.  This is crazy overdo and I will share pictures at least from each month.  I figured that was the best way to catch up and see what we have all been up to since April of this year!

Me and Emma Claire on Easter Sunday.  Matt had to work a double the night before so he slept while we went to church so he missed out on our pictures.

Daddy and his mini-me.  It makes my heart happy to see these two and the love Matt has for our daughter.

Picking strawberries before the Strawberry Festival in May

Don't mind my crazy look, I just finished the 5K Strawberry Stride and then thought picking strawberries would be another fantastic idea!!!

Just chilling in her own parade...What you do not see is Matt pulling her in the yard cart behind our golf cart.

July 4th with my parents.  We went to Beechbend with my parents and Matt's mom.  We had a blast and ended the evening grilling out at our house with both of our parents.

Segway tours in downtown OKC with our family.  We had an absolute blast and I REALLY, I mean REALLY need to own one of these!

Emma Claire and June enjoying the wonderful weather during the Old Brush Ice Cream Supper

The ending of our dance camp this summer and how best to end a Frozen themed dance camp, but with a real live Princess Elsa!  Those girls were mesmerized by her and secretly I was too.

Just because we love this ray of sunshine!

Last weekend at a local art fair!

That's pretty much what we do....just hang out and blog every 6 months.  I really would like to maintain this better since I know not everyone follows us on Instagram and Facebook so no promises, but I will at least try to stay on top of things.

Frozen on Ice

My mom and I took Emma Claire to see Frozen on Ice and Emma Claire loved it.  She was mesmerized every minute.  I think she really loved seeing a few of the Disney princesses at the beginning and especially Mickey and Minnie!  EC sang all of the way home until she crashed about 20 minutes from the house.

It's hard to be a princess is what EC has told me today and princesses need their rest (reason why she slept in this morning).

Love this little girl to pieces and I loved to see her excitement.  It was a special night for all of us!

Emma Claire all dressed up as 'Elsa' complete with her necklace from Lexie Lou Designs
Of course, it's a requirement to get a wand for 'Elsa'
Absolutely mesmerized!!!

Emma Claire loves riding the horses with her Uncle Jake.  A horse ride is not complete without the pink cowgirl hat!

Lexie Lou Necklace Party

Instead of having a traditional party, Emma Claire wanted to have a necklace party with a few of her close friends.  If you are interested in one of these, I encourage you to check her out on Facebook, Lexie Lou Designs is the name of her page.

Happy Birthday Sweet One

Happy 4th Birthday Emma Claire...my oh my how has time flown!  You are the joy of our lives and this is what I shared on Facebook on her birthday:

It's hard to believe our 'not so little' girl is turning 4 today. She came into this world so tiny and small, but she has definitely grown up quickly. We love every minute with her and blessed to be her parents. Emma Claire is independent (i wonder where she gets that from), sweet, spunky, sassy and loving.

I still love this little blurb by a dear friend and boss about Emma Claire and her entry into this world 'Similar to her mother, little Emma Claire Warren didn't want to wait to get things started. She decided that 9 months of pregnancy was just way too long. She needed to get out in the world and win a figure skating championship by 5, finish high school by 10 and be a millionaire by 16. So out she pops (literally) about 16 weeks early. - Stan Gordon'

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of our journey and we look forward to many more years. Each one of y'all are special and have left imprints on our lives. We are truly blessed beyond measure.

The Elf.....

This year, EC was actually into the Elf on the Shelf this year, so off to get an elf from the North Pole we went.  After reading the story, Emma Claire named her elf, Bubbles.

Bubbles had fun reporting to Santa and coming back and hanging out in a new spot every day.  Here are a few of our favorites.

Last part of 4th Quarter 2013

Way behind as usual!  I decided to do one post with our fun 4th Quarter.  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house with our family and ate way too much (don't we all!)

Before our families arrived I wanted to get a picture of Emma Claire so I could get our Christmas cards ordered in time.  After about 30 pictures we finally were able to get a couple to use on our card this year and so happy on the way it turned out.
When EC's feeling in the picture taking mood, I can actually get some decent shots of her and obviously filters on my photos ALWAYS help.

December was a busy month with our main charity event of taking 200+ kids shopping, WEE School Christmas Party, Dad's birthday and a trip to see the Rockettes.

Emma Claire at her WEE School Christmas Party
Mom and I took EC to see the Rockettes and she had a blast!  I feel this will be a tradition every year.  She gets so excited and is mesmerized the entire time!
Emma Claire and I before leaving for the Rockettes show

The next day, was Dad's birthday and of course no party can take place without party hats.  We just went to dinner and had cupcakes.  Emma Claire was most excited for everyone to put on their hats.
Even Boomer had to partake in the fun, he was so excited I tell ya!

We rounded our December with Christmas and this year Emma Claire was so much fun.  She was actually excited to see what Santa brought her, but most of all she was excited we finally were able to celebrate baby Jesus's birthday!
Our not so great attempt at a family picture on Christmas Eve at my parents house, but hey you take what you can get.
Goodies from Santa...a bike, baby doll and her favorite - the shopping buggy

Hope every one had a wonderful 2013

Family Time and Mud Run

I love visits and especially ones which involve our family!  Chad and Madison came up in October for a long weekend and we had a blast spending time with them.  Emma Claire was so excited to spend time with Madison and even Uncle Chad!

Mom and Madison prepared a tea (apple juice) with treats and Emma Claire was excited.  The girls had their tea time in real tea cups and enjoyed every moment of it.
We then went out to eat on Saturday night at Chuy's and enjoyed a nice visit to the train yard to see Matt before they had to head back to GA on Sunday.
Love these two!!!!!

Since I've been told I'll do any race for a t-shirt, Jake (my bro-in-law) signed us us for a Zombie/Mud run.  It was a beautiful day to get down and muddy.  We had a blast and I lost my flags to the Zombies within the first 1/2 mile of the race.  Ended up with a few bruises on my legs from the water slide down a hill which I ran into one of our teammates and some rocks.  All in all, we had a good time and doing another 5K this weekend, however it will just be a regular run and obviously a free t-shirt will be involved.
Ryan, me, Larry and Jake (before the zombie chase, bruises and mud)
After and look, we are ALL still smiling!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the Thanksgiving season and I'm staying true to my word and will not decorate for Christmas until after we clear the table of our Thanksgiving meal!

#TBT (Throw Back Thursday)

I do not typically participate in these types of postings, however since EC was so cute (at least we think so) in all of her Halloween costumes.....

WEE School Fall Party

Today was Emma Claire's fall party at WEE school and she had a blast.  A couple of weeks ago, we made a visit to Target to get treat bags and goodies for her friends as well as let her pick out her costume.  She had been telling us for weeks she wanted to be Cinderella.  This year was so much fun as she actually wanted to pick out a costume and it was so cute watching her decision making skills in action.  She saw the Cinderella costume and was ecstatic UNTIL she turned around and saw all of her most favorite Disney character costumes.  Talk about costume overload for this girl!

Once she laid her eyes on Minnie Mouse it was over.  We purchased it and hung it in the laundry room until last night.  I had her try it on and she LOVED it (actually that is the understatement of the week).  EC did not want to remove the costume, however I assured her, she would be wearing it today to her party and she could barely contain her excitement!

I took her to school today and stayed while they trick and treated the church office and the other classes at WEE School.  She had a blast and enjoyed giving out the candy to the other kids when they came by her classroom.

All in all, she had a good day, came home early with me from her party and has been upstairs napping.  It's exhausting being Minnie Mouse.

Her spider hat she made at school for their fall party!

4 months....and Finally and Update

Well since I have not blogged in 4 months, I'll just start back in July and I'm giving fair warning, this is going to be a blog of mostly pics with what we have been up to.  I'm sure everyone who actually still checks us out would much rather see pics of what we have been up to versus a lengthy read.

Celebrated Christin's birthday at MayDay in the 'boro!  Always a wonderful time and friend.  I love when we get together, it seems like we pick up where we left off.  Love this lady to the moon and back!
Towards the end of July, we went to Georgia to see Chad and Madison!  EC is starting to warm up to her Uncle Chad finally and it's only taken 3 years!  She love Madison and imitates everything Madison does.
EC loves going to the train yard to see Daddy and any chance we get, we take advantage of it.  I do believe she could watch those trains all day.
August was our annual NICU birthday party at Baptist (or whatever they have now named it....still Baptist to me).  She loved seeing every one and especially......
Cohen, her NICU buddy as well as.....
Bennett!!!
Heather, me, Larry and Jake

We rounded out August with a Glow Run....this run supported the Middle TN Autism Society and we ran in honor of two special boys who we hold near and dear to our hearts....Trice and Cameron, we love and support you two!
Mom, Emma Claire and I headed our annual User Group meeting and this year it was in Denver.  We had some free time on Saturday, so Mom and I took Emma Clarie to the local Children's Museum.  We had a nice time and ended up spending time playing at the park they had outside too.
Tracy, Daniel, me and Emma Claire enjoying the views during our Cortex User Group Night Out at the Buffalo Bill Museum
Could not have asked for a better evening for our event.
We rounded out September enjoying the Zoo during CSX Family Day.  It was a beautiful day and EC could not stop telling us about all of the animals see saw or wanted to see.
She loved the Flamingos!
Larry, me, Jake and Brian

Started October with a nice 5K in White House, The 11th Annual Pumpkin run and we had a blast.
Sharon, Carrie and me

It has been nice to catch up with old friends.  We all ran a 5K two weeks prior in the rain (hence the no pic of it) and decided to run this one too.  We definitely had a blast and hopefully next year we will be lucky and win some of those fantastic raffle prizes they were giving away!
Nothing to keep me away from kayaking...(enter sarcasm). I really thought the rain would clear off, dang weather people.   We made the best of it and kayaked almost 8 miles in 2.5 hours.  About half-way through the trip, I had taken off my rain gear since I was getting hot and it actually did stop raining to only have a rapid downpour to which my brother law likened to the scene in the movie 'The Notebook'.  Only if I could be so lucky to be in my kayak with Ryan Gosselin would that comment be appropriate.
And Finally, we are caught up with the fun happenings of the Warren Family.  Mom and I took Emma Claire to a pumpkin farm and she had a blast.  We picked out pumpkins and EC pulled our wagon around loading them all up.

I will promise nothing, but hopefully I can 'try' to do at least one post a month...GEEZ!

Happy Fall Y'all!!!!
