Kinsley's 1st Trip Skiing

We took Kinsley {age 4} skiing for her very first time. We were worried how she would act (sometimes she likes to whine and is a tad over emotional) but we were pleasantly surprised. She LOVED it!

She spent her first few runs crouched down like this but then learned to stay balanced standing up straight.

When Kinsley showed this video to her grandparents she said, "I was so strong. I was able to pull my big fat daddy down the mountain." Ummm.... we need to work on different adjectives.

We had to stop and spend a few minutes in the lodge.... more for the sake of Eric than for mine or Kinsley's. She is wearing her "I'm snow cute" shirt just for spending the day in the snow.

Kinsley is excited to go again and says her favorite part of skiing was "Hitting the huge ginormous jumps and flying really high!"

Eric says his favorite part was "stopping." =) Next year, perhaps, we will put her in ski school.

I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor’s children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone’s garden. I want to be there with children’s sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.”
