Christmas Morning

Christmas morning Kinsley was really mad at Santa because he ate all of her sugar cookies.  She slightly got over her anger after she opened some presents.
{New learning games}
{new watch}

 {new clothes}
 Aila would have been perfectly content eating M&M's (from her stocking) all morning instead of opening presents.
 The girls got princess nightgowns.  Probably their favorite gift.  Kinsley immediately stripped down and put hers on and Aila soon followed her example.
 And then she pretended to fall asleep....

 Hope you had a Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve

We had a fun filled, action packed, Christmas Eve! The morning was spent visiting with my best friend, Salina, as we attempted to make some pies for my family dinner.  No matter how hard I try... I still can't make a pie look pretty.  Eric went and did some last minute Christmas shopping as a secret Santa.  Later that evening we got together at my parents house.  We first delivered our Secret Santa gifts.  Then we decorated sugar cookies.
 My mom is one smart cookie... she had the kids decorate their cookies in their heated garage... with so many kids there were sprinkles E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E!!!
 After a scrumptious dinner, complete with pie, we drew parts for the live nativity.  (In our family: Eric was the piano player, Aila was an angel, Kinsley and I were wise men.)
 (Jared as Joseph, Abby as Mary, London as baby Jesus, and Karson playing the donkey.)
 After the nativity we went downstairs to open presents.
 (All the girls, minus London, on the couch)
 The kids got matching warm-ups and a sleeping bag.  The adults got movie tickets and a gift certificate to stay at the Anniversary Inn.  {I LOVE GET-A-WAYS!!!}
 After things had settled down a little bit we were given yet another gift............
 DISNEY WORLD AND DISNEY CRUISE HERE WE COME 2013!!!!!!!!!

{You should have heard the screaming!}

Chinese New Year

 In preschool we are learning about holidays around the world.  One day we learned about the Chinese New Year.  I dressed the girls and myself in clothes I bought in China.  They loved it!

Buddy the Elf Arrives

 Something unusual happened at our house.  One morning a mysterious present appeared under our Christmas tree.  I haven't even begun Christmas shopping so I knew it couldn't be from me.  Eric swore it wasn't from him either.  We read the tag and it said it was a gift from Santa Clause and we were to open it immediately.
 The girls were very compliant and didn't hesitate to open the surprise present.
 Inside was a book and an Elf.  We were instructed to name our Elf.  (Which was harder than one might think.)  Eventually, we all said a name, put those names in a hat, and drew out the name "Buddy."
 The girls are excited and a little apprehensive about an elf watching them.  Let the tradition begin!!!
