Loving The Great Outdoors!
Kinsley LOVES being outdoors! Everyday she will ask me "Outside?" and point to the door. I try to take her outside everyday. Luckily, she isn't too picky as to what we do- whether it be playing with the ball, drawing with chalk, blowing bubbles, using the water table (aka cooler), or just running up and down the hill.

Today Eric came home while we were playing with the water table and he taught her how to throw the water up in the air. Unfortunately, she isn't very coordinated and just threw it in her face.

Bad Habits
As a child I formed the bad habit of sucking my thumb. I did it for YEARS! My mom did everything she could think of to get me to stop. She put gross medicine on my thumb (which, I soon learned, washed off with soap and water). She made me a reward chart and I received prizes when I didn't suck my thumb (well... when she didn't SEE me sucking my thumb). Eventually, I was put in a retainer and then braces which made me stop.
A month ago I remembered that I hadn't clipped Kinsley's fingernails in awhile. So I got out the clippers but when I went to clip her nails I saw that she didn't have any! I started watching her more closely and noticed that she is ALWAYS chewing on her fingernails! She chews them so short she will come to me and say "Ouch!" and make me kiss them better.

A Beautiful Saturday
We have been having beautiful weather here! On Saturday, after Kinsley's nap, Eric took us up to his school and practiced doing an eye exam on me. After we were done we headed to the zoo. Unfortunately, when we arrived they closed the admissions gate but not to worry- - we have a season pass so we just went in the exit! (Eric's idea and not mine!)

Kinsley had a great time. Whenever she saw a new animal she would say, "Wow!" I, on the other hand, spent the next 45 mins. looking over my shoulder, waiting for someone to throw me out of the zoo!

Spring Break
This post is long over due. Eric's Spring Break was weeks ago but I am just now getting around to it. My parent's and sister came from Idaho. We still think they are crazy for driving here (this is their third visit). We tried to talk them into flying because it takes 3.5 hours instead of driving 25 but they didn't listen and insisted on the long drive. I think next year they will change their minds.

Kinsley thought Kristi's wheelchair was really cool. It didn't take her very long to learn how to climb in the chair to honk the horn and turn on the blinkers.
My parents watched Kinsley while Eric and I went to the temple with our friend Jerry, who was going through for the first time (he was baptized in January 2009). It has been great watching him make all sorts of changes in his life! We were happy sitting through missionary discussions with him, watching him get baptized, and now going to the temple. We were glad we could be there for his big day.
We only spent a few days in Memphis before driving to Branson, Missouri. We hit every outlet mall imaginable and saw a lot of great shows (our favorite being the Shanghai Acrobats). We had a great time and were sad to part ways! Kinsley especially misses all of the attention and I miss my mom's help around the house! It is always great to have people from home here and always sad to see them go.
My mom bought Kinsley these glasses. She thinks she is pretty hot stuff!
