Toothless

Since Christmas Day my kids have been losing teeth right and left. Between the two of them they've lost 6 teeth and it's been all we've been able to do to keep up! Here are all of the pictures!

This was New Years Day. Jackson lost one of the bottom side teeth on Christmas Day but I totally forgot to take a picture. So on New Years Day he lost the other bottom side tooth and I made sure to take a picture!
This top tooth he lost on January 17th, MLK Day!
And last but not least he lost his second top tooth! This one he lost on Feb. 9th! I took him outside to get some nice pics of him with his new smile :)

Now of course Mikaela couldn't be left behind!!! I was actually shocked when she said her teeth were loose because Jackson didn't lose any teeth until the first grade. But when I looked in her mouth I was shocked to see one of her grown up teeth coming in behind her baby tooth! That night Jared pulled one of the bottom teeth out! That was on February 10th. Then the very next day she kept saying her other tooth was wiggly so Jared gave that one a pull and out it came! So she lost her second tooth on Feb. 11th! She lost them so close together that I only had a chance to take a picture until the day she lost the second tooth. Here she is below in all her toothless glory!

They were both excited with having the Tooth Fairy come over and over! Hopefully we get a little break before some more start falling out!

Inclement Weather 2011

This week was one like we've never experienced before. This week Texas was hit with an ice storm that made most of Northern Texas shut down, including the kids' school district! Since Tuesday the kids have been out of school and won't be returning until Monday. It has been a challenge to keep the kids busy but they have stayed busy nonetheless! Here is a glimpse as to what has kept them occupied for most of the time we've been stuck indoors!

I'm so glad they're creative and really each other's best friends. Let's see what they come up with tomorrow!

Lexie's Nightly Routine...

So...we thought this was just a one time thing, but unfortunately Lexie has made quite a routine out of this nightly occurrence. Do you see the puddle of clothes on the floor next to her bed? Well, that's right, those are her pj's. And every night she sees to it that within minutes of being laid down for bed she takes them ALL off!! Jared and I have tried everything to get her to keep her clothes on! We've gone back up to her room and re-clothed her while sleeping (didn't work -she actually wakes up after we clothe her again and takes them off!!), we've threatened (didn't work-she didn't mind being grounded from a certain toy during the day), rewarded (didn't work-the incentives just weren't good enough I guess!), BRIBED (still didn't work!!). It's driving us nuts. She even does it for naps too! Oh well, I'm going to assume that it's just a phase and will eventually phase itself out! For the meantime, we'll just deal with re-clothing her every chance we get!There is one plus to this whole thing. Before, she was constantly kicking off her blankets at night, now she stays snuggled in ALL NIGHT LONG!! Doesn't she look cute there all snug with her care bear!!
