You may recall a little 13 song compilation called Philadelphia Maneto that I put out last summer - if you liked that, listen in, because this week I'm here to tell you about two spin-off projects that you will probably dig.

Buk-In-Hamm Palace (Sol Power Disco Dub)

The Sol Power crew and I recently finished this dubbed out rework of Peter Tosh's underground classic Buk-In-Hamm Palace. The original cooks, but we added some extra thump for the dance floor and chopped it up to heighten the tension. It's nearly 10 minutes long so feel free to drop it halfway through when the dub kicks in for the late night crowds... that's what we do!

The long-awaited remix companion to 2011's "RCMP II" is finally out.

RCMP - "RCMP II: The Remixes" presents seven reinterpretations of "RCMP II." Remixers include Pink Skull (RVNG INT'L), Laberge (Solid Bump), Elvis Suarez (Strictly Rhythm), DJ Ayres (Young Robots / T&A), Fifteenth (Fools Gold / Scion AV), Burnso (Young Robots) and Pumpkin Patch (Young Robots).

Pretty huge. I'm very proud of the work all these guys did reinterpreting our record. We asked them all to remix it because we love listening to their work! DJs, you need these. Please support Young Robots (and independent music in general) and buy some tunes.

This week, it's my take on John Legend's cover of Adele's "Rolling In the Deep." Not an "edit" per se, but a full on remix. It's a cosmic boogie jam that's had a lot of support from my big tyme homies like Fool's Gold's Sammy Bananas and Nouveau Riche's Gavin Holland. Not to mention, cosigned by Dimitri from Paris!

To Begin Again / No Surprise

Yesterday, I was delivered a pair of stone tablets from the fiery summit of Mount Italo. The tablets contained instructions for posting the latest offerings from the elusive Peter Dragontail, a new original track and a remix, respectively. Zilla Rocca - Nada (DJ Apt One Remix)

I think this track will go over quite well with the DBJ family. It's a rap remix, yes, but it's got a serious classic disco twist to it with rolling pianos, muted guitar and some great vocals on the bridge. And as I'm sure you nerds are well aware, rap came from disco.

OK here's my take on one of the Dollar Bin classics, complete with all the dirty ass vinyl crackles from the a capella.

You’ll notice it’s somewhat different than the version that appeared on the Bell Ringers mix, more synths for your ass.

Dancing in Outer Space

Good score here from Sweet Jane. Apparently, these are remixes of a disco classic, but there's no mistaking the signature sound of Masters at Work less than a minute into either of these tracks. The "Lunar Mix" is a straight-up Billy Werner jam, and the "Dubbed In Space version" is actually only somewhat more restrained...can't hold back that sax.
