Little Version of Daddy

Here are some cute pics of our little Tiger.

He's 3-months-old today!

Man, time flies.

We are so blessed to have him in our home.

He has such a sweet, happy spirit!

Big sister wants to help too. Here she is holding Tiger. She enjoyed it for a short minute.

And then she informed us she wanted her babies on her lap instead.

And coincidentally, guess what she has named babies? "Tiger." What a character!

We sure are blessed to have her in our family as well. Our lives would definitely boring without her!

Look at that face! Doesn't it just say to you, I'm in charge and I know it!?!? Bugs is full of personality. Recently she kicked (semi-lightly) a little friend and I immediately sat her in my lap and told her that we do not kick. What was her response? She laid her head on my arm and pretended to be asleep (eyes closed, pretend snoring, and everything)! It took all I had not to laugh.

At Last...

I am happy to report that Tiger (our little man's new name) and Bugs are both asleep in their beds...at the same time! Tiger's at that age where he needs to start learning to sleep in his crib during the day. He's a wonderful sleeper at night! So is Bugs. All I have to say is thank goodness for binkys. Bugs never took them, but Tiger does, which is good because it's less crying to wake Bugs up. Anyway, just wanted to share this accomplishment. It's so liberating! :)

UPDATE:
Well, it was for like 45 minutes before Tiger started crying and I rushed up there so he wouldn't wake Bugs up! Oh, but it was so nice while it lasted.

• you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching
• you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit
• the speed limit on the highway is 75 mph -- you're going 80, and everyone is still passing you
• driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow
• you know all 4 seasons: hot, winter, still winter, and road construction
• you find 10 degrees 'a little chilly'

The Left Side

The Bug's current favorite phrase is, "On the left side." Everything is "on the left side." I had just brough up the highchair out of storage and was cleaning it off. Here was our conversation:

Mom: This is the baby's chair.
Bugs: It's kinda like my chair. [She points.] There's my chair, on the left side.
Mom: Yup - you're right.

She makes me laugh.

Destiny

Meet "Big B." He and the Bug are destined to marry. DH and Big B's daddy have been friends since high school, so they've been planning this arrangement for over 2 years now. Big B is actually a couple of months younger than Bugs, but in the end age doesn't really matter, right? Their first "date" was to see the Christmas Light displays this past holiday season. I mean, come on...they've already played husband and wife on TV and have even thought about buying their first home. Check it out!

Aren't they the cutest little actors you've ever seen. :)

The Joy of Discovery

Our Little Man just discovered the toys over his head!

Ah the simple joys in life! Watching an infant learn and grow is so fun!

2-Months

Here is our little man at 2-months of age.

He is getting to be quite the little chunk.

Already wearing most of his 3-6 month clothes!

I love the way his face lights up and he starts kicking when he sees me.

I love the way he makes all sorts of faces before a sound comes out of that adorable mouth.

I love the way he calms right down in my arms (only if that belly is full).

I love how he smells.

I love those big blue eyes.

I love the way my DH cares for our kids.

I love the way Bugs is beginning to share her parents and appreciate the little guy. He still loves her, minus those little "accidental" falls right on him. :) He recovers pretty quickly.

I love my husband and children. Today is a good day. (Minus the tempertantrum.)
