tHe nExT sTeP...

it all starts when you're in elementary school...

you can't wait to be in 6th grade, you look forward to the day when you finally would rule the elementary school!!! ...eventually that day comes, and you're way over being in elementary school and you yearn for the day that you will be in jr high. then finally you get to go to jr high and that is when you realize you are the scum of the school... a seventh grader, so you look forward to the day when your a 9th grader, but by the time your a 9th grader you can't drive, you can't leave the school campus during lunch, or go to the themed dances... so that is when you look forward to the sweet 16 birthday, getting a car, and having the freedoms of being a high school student! but by the time you get to that point in your life, you're so over all the drama of being a girl in high school and all the stupid boys that broke your heart that you just can't wait to get to college where you get to be surrounded by a plentiful amount of mature older men. But what you see on tv about college men is pretty much all fake because once you get to college you realize their maturity level isn't much more than the maturity levels of 3rd grade boys. But eventually you find a nice guy to spend the rest of your life with, you both graduate from college, and then your caught in the limbo of being a newly graduated student and an adult, an adult in which you live to go to work... you wake up only to get ready for work, then you go to work, come home, eat dinner, and if you're a teacher (like myself), think about ways in which you can do your work better, then hit the sac early so that you have energy to go to work the next day...

so here i am at this point in my life, my whole life i have always been looking forward to what comes next and now i have no idea what to expect or look forward to. i have just felt the full effect of being slapped in the face with reality... i have officially entered adult world where i make my own decisions as to what i want to do next! its a super crazy feeling!!!

i applied for my first teaching job in evanston at the middle school and i am really hoping to get it. i am so anxiuos to see where the next couple months take me and derek and see what opportunities the last 12 years of choices have brought to us! i am trying to do better about not always looking forward to the next step, but trying to enjoy where we are now...

sorry to ramble on about a whole lot of nothing, but life seems to be flying by too fast! does anyone else think so too?

BOLT

I was staring at the red box yesterday when all the good new releases were rented. I had heard of bolt but I knew nothing about it, but still I decided to get it. I watched it twice that day, then drove to walmart to buy it! it is such a cute movie!

don't shoot your eye out...

is a phrase i have heard a couple times today...
ever since i bought this baby!!!

I never thought i would see the day when i would want to buy a gun. But congratulations universe you win! Derek has been talking about buying me a gun and today i took him up on the offer.

We went to the gun shop in rock springs... there were so many to choose from, and then i saw her...

we tried it out in a couple of places and turns out she loves me too! so the store owner called the head honchos and since i don't have a criminal background it now says gun owner on my permanant record. it was a pretty exciting day!

so now i can go hunting with derek...

we'll see what he talks me into next
