St. George

This past weekend we went to St. George. It was a fast trip but it was a fun get away! we swam, visited with my Grandma Chris and invaded her house, and watched Shane play some wicked awesome rugby! it was so much fun. it was nice weather and all around a great time. I even convinced nate to shop with me for a little bit. Coleman Hated the pool at first so it took some convincing and some tears but he finally ended up loving it... sorta! (which is so wierd cuz he loves loves loves the Roy pool at home... figure that one out???)

What a week!

Well March is here and what does that mean??? Well of course it means Nate is out of Town!

BOO!!!

spring is their busy season and with the busy season comes a lot of out of town work... so this week started of with Nate leaving out of town on Monday morning really early.

BUT... lets back track for a second... remember my last post about my sick baby???

well... he got even worse!! Thursday he got a fever and diarrhea. Friday we added a runny/stuffy nose, and Saturday we topped it all off with a cough (a bad bad congested cough). So went spent Sunday sleeping, drinking lots of liquid and crying. it was not a fun weekend for poor Coleman. oh and to make it all better I woke up Sunday sick with exactly the same thing as Coleman.

Anyways back to Nate leaving on Monday. I woke up Monday morning not feeling good at all, Coleman wasn't feeling good at all so I decided to pack up and go to my mom's to have her help while Nate was gone for the week. luckily i did...

Monday night Coleman cried a lot of the night, Tuesday night Coleman cried ALL night so Wednesday I had had it with being sick, but I had to work so I had my sweet mom take Coleman to the doctor... and of course we needed to add to Coleman's symptoms list ...Coleman has a good old fashion ear infection! (Hence the Crying ALL night). so a fever, diarrhea, stuffy/runny nose, cough and an ear infection!

And of course this all has to happen with Nate out of town. It has been quite the week, luckily I have been blessed with awesome parents who are willing to help. Tuesday night my Dad helped me with Coleman from 12:45-3:15 and then again at 5:30! what a great guy! My Mom changed countless nasty diapers, made sure he was comfortable and kept rubs on him, and took him to the doctors, oh and was also up with him crying! My sister Megan watched him when no one else could, (while I was at work) and changed 4 diapers in one hour! Shane was there to keep Coleman smiling, Coleman would cry when Shane would leave the room! I know I couldn't have done it this week without their help. since Saturday night I have gotten an average of 2-5 hours of sleep a night. so they have been a blessing to keep me sane and help me with my poor sick baby! thanks Mom, Dad, Megan and Shane! I sure love you guys!

What a week! what a week! Luckily Nate comes home tomorrow! Thank goodness.

crawling, throwing up and being held...

wow our little coleman had quite the day yesterday! it all started at 6 a.m when he woke up crying. I went and got him out of his crib fed him and after eating hardly anything he just laid there with his head on my shoulder and arms tucked in under his body... i had a feeling then that it was gonna be a long day! (and i was right) He fell back asleep in my arms and slept till 8, again waking up crying. all day long he wanted to be held and if i wasn't holding him he would cry cry cry. so around 9:30 he fell back asleep and took a two and a half hour nap (which NEVER happens) well... around 2:30 i was up at my mom's house and my mom was feeding him a bottle and he started crying and all the sudden... you guessed it... THROW UP! all over his jacket, shirt, hair and pants plus all over my mom's couch! poor guy! instantly his face turned so pale he looked green and just whimpered. it was so sad! so we packed up and went home. that night I loaded him up with pedilyte and applesauce but right before i was gonna put him to bed he started crying to be put down so i set him down and the little bugger CRAWLED!!!! my cell phone was on the ground and he crawled to it! i was so caught off guard, i know he was gonna start crawling soon but i guess i didn't expect it to happen when he was sick!!! anyways he whimpered all night and threw up a little bit more... lets just say it was a long night of him wanting to be held... which is great for him cuz he actually sleeps but bad for the mom (that being me) cuz you dont sleep. and during all this Nate was at work till 7 then came home and went straight to young mens and got home at 9:30 so straight to bed we went and he got up and left at 6.... sheesh its been quite the week and its only wednesday morning!!! and Coleman isnt feeling better today! poor poor poor guy!!!

our little fishy turns 7 months!

COLEMAN IS 7 MONTHS!!!

*** i tell the story behind this picture if you keep reading***

CoLeMan Turns 7 Months and a OVERdue Denny Family UPdate

We took our little Coleman Swimming, he was a little scared at first because of all the loud noises but 5 minutes in the water and he turned into our little fish! he loved it, and now when he takes a bath he splashes and kicks like he is in his own pool. (Michael Phelps WATCH OUT) Coleman has also found his voice or atleast how to use it, he is babbling non stop all day long. He also has a new found talent of screaming and grunting. it cracks us up everytime he does it. He is trying to crawl and is getting so close, he gets up on his hands and knees in crawling position but then just rocks back and forth... we think it'll be any day BUT until then he seems content rolling everywhere. if he wants something he rolls to it. if he wants to go somewhere.. you guessed it... he rolls there. its great! He is loving solid foods especially peas. At his 6 month appointment (so a month ago) he weighed 17.11 and was 26 and a half inches tall. we have a growing boy! he is getting so big. he is so curious. me and nate always say when he can walk we are in HUGE trouble, we already have our hands full but i cant even imagine what it will be like when he can walk. YIKES. he is such a happy baby. He still isnt sleeping through the night and some nights i feel like i have a new born all over again... but we sure love you Coleman.
***(this is the story behind the picture up top)*** the other night i laid Coleman down for the night and he wasnt even a bit tired but it was getting late so he needed to go to bed. so i tried to rock him to sleep and he wasnt having it, so i finally just laid him down in his crib and walked out of the room. he was silent for a long time so i thought for sure he had fallen asleep... boy oh boy was i wrong! i went in to check on him and he was reaching for his mobile and rollinh from one end to the other... he looked at me and gave me this look like... What? your the one who put me in here! all i could do was laugh and pick him up. but before that i snuck in and took a picture! it was a priceless moment. one of those i will cherish forever!
Coleman you melt our hearts everyday.. atleast once a day and most days atleast 1000 times :) keep growing strong! love you happy 7 months bubba.

Nate is still the BEST husband and Dad ever! he wins the award of the century! HE IS SO AWESOME and working so hard. he makes Coleman laugh so hard and me smile everyday. He is busy working with Twin D and the young men in our ward. He goes about life serving, smiling and loving life. you never hear him complain and he is always willing to help me whenever he can! he is so amazing.

we finally decided to let maverick back inside (for those of you who dont know who Maverick is..well he is our Dumber than DUMB shi tzu... emphasis on the shi), only because he got a very needed haircut and bath.. so since he is clean we thought we should keep him that way.

Coleman and Maverick are buddies. Coleman just laughs and laughs when maverick is around

so i have the cutest story about Coleman and Maverick,

Today i went to drop Maverick off at the groomers. i loaded Coleman in the car and then put Maverick in the back seat with Coleman. Cole laughed and screamed (his good scream) and giggled the whole way there. well when we walked into the groomers Maverick saw the groomer and started barking and growling and trying to protect Coleman.it was pretty cool. so we got things all figured out at the groomers. so it was time for me and Coleman to leave and maverick to get his long over due haircut. well i walked out of the doors... without maverick right? well Coleman just started crying... and it got even worse when i put him in his carseat and maverick wasnt there to keep him company. they are buds!

i thought that was such a cute story though. SORRY to ramble. :)

6 months and sitting pretty...literally

COLEBEAR is 6 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!

ahhh my baby is already 6 months old, i cant even beilieve it. we are sure blessed to have this little guy in our family! he is such a joy and such a smiley little sucker. he melts my heart every day and does something atleast once a day but usually more that makes me laugh. he has developed his own little personality and i'm afraid he is gonna be more stubborn than me and nate combined...and if you know me and nate you know...well... thats a lot!!! :) he is a talker and is always jibber jabbering away. he blows bubbles with his saliva and clicks his tounge too. he makes all sorts of noises. SOOOO CUTE!
this past month we discovered he has a milk allergy. He got a very very bad rash all over his back and stomach, and pretty much spent the whole day and night screaming bloody murder cuz his stomach hurt so bad. he wouldn't have a bowel movement for like 3 days and then explode. it was NO FUN so after much research and so on ans so forth he is now drinking Goats milk and downs it like its candy.
Coleman LOVES his mommy (it makes nate a little bitter) and has become quite the snuggle bug lately. He loves being sang to at night and is now finally taking an interest in his books we read to him before bed. he is sitting up so good and will play for hours on the floor but only if you are right there by him. He loves being around people and is very social already. We are slowly starting him on more solid type foods and today we tried sweet potatoes for the first time... it was a hit. he loved them, they were all over the place when we finished but they were delicious! Me and Nate have decided to make our own Baby Food to save money and it has been so fun! and Coleman seems to LOVE real food.
You can tell Coleman wants to crawl. he will position himself to crawl and then fall and when he is laying on his stomach he is constantly kicjing his legs like he is hoping to go somewhere. he becomes more and more aware everyday. he loves chewing on things and everything still goes straight to the mouth. we still go thorough three shirts a day or three bibs a day because he drools and slobbers so much.
Coleman never holds still he is always go go go! we are hoping when he becomes more mobile he'll move so much it'll burn up all his energy and then he'll sleep at night ;) he is still waking up frequently through the night but only eating once or twice a night, the other times its for his binky. a lot of people have told me and Nate to let him cry it out but we just dont have the heart to do that. maybe one day i will but for right now i dont mind helping him find his binky.
These Past 6 months have been the greatest 6 months. they have gone by in a blur. we have learned so much and continue to learn more and more everyday. we are so grateful to have Colaman as our son. he is a joy to bearound! COLEMAN mom and dad love you forever! Happy 6 months little buddy.
