Carving pumpkins!

Every year my big guy kind of drags his feet about this carving pumpkin business, but as soon as he sits down at the table he is always very willing to help make masterpieces!  I think this is the first year he got to help with the pumpkins and never had a chance to make his own.  Jillian colored on hers and made put some tattoos on.  Colton went with the classic jack o lantern and Jace had a tiger!

The Boise Aquarium

Aunt Anna surprised us with a pass to go to the Boise Aquarium!  We all couldn't wait to go.  It was actually really cute.  The kids weren't into feeding the sharks but they loved the puffins!  They were my favorite too.  We got to pet a turtle, touch a shark and gets hands on with all sorts of marine life.  Thanks buddy!

Fall Saturday Mornings! Go Patriots.

Colton is very competitive and is more serious then the average five year old.  These two have legitimate chalk talk all the time.  In Colton's journal I found about three football plays he made up to go over with "coach."  So funny and so cute!

Sprinkly Pumpkins

Colton had some homework from school to decorate a pumpkin with supplies we had at home... so we covered it in sprinkles.  Jillian had to get in on the fun too so we found her a pumpkin off the internet and she was in heaven.  Art with edible art supplies.

What do you do on Saturday mornings?

This morning DaNel was with us watching the boys play football.  DaNel is an amazing physics teacher so she kept all the kids on the sideline entertained with all her science tricks!!  Ryan, our neighbor, was along for the ride too.
Jace is serious!  Football is the family business around here.
 DaNel!!
 Ryan!
 Colton, close catch...

Halloween is just around the corner... And so is some football!

Grandma and Grandpa were in town for the weekend to celebrate all the birthdays and since Halloween is getting close grandma brought some of her Halloween collection for the kids to try out.  As soon as Jace had the rocket costume on he said "blast off" and he blasted off.

Colton's Party in the Patch! Look who is 6!

Colton is so blessed to have so many wonderful people in his life.  In fact on the way home from his party, I was a little overcome with gratitude thinking of all genuine good hearted people Colton has in his life to help shape into the boy he is becoming.  He had friends from football, Meridian, Middleton, Kuna, Mom's X-ray Buddies, Dad's Co-workers and even some from his Kindergarten class.  It was so fun seeing everyone together and getting to see all the families experience the pumpkin patch.  They went on  tractor rides, picked some pumpkins and some of them even braved the Corn Maze.  I loved celebrating with my boy turning six but my favorite part of the night was when we all got to pick our pumpkins together.  I love my Fall birthday boys.
