Baking cookies.

On one of mom's days off Colton had his friends, Hailey, Callie, Jerry and Cassidy over to play. They decided they wanted to make sugar cookies. They did a great job and had a lot of fun.

Colton turns 2..and daddy 32.

Grandma had a list of errands to run for Mommy while she was at work and she didn't let me down. She found the perfect cake for the Football party. Great Job bamma! Thanks for all of your help.
All of the pumpkins ready to paint. Thanks for your help Fal.
Aunt Anna helping Colton paint his pumpkin. That looks like a masterpiece in the making.
The party was a hit. Colton had a great time with all of his friends and family. What a lucky little guy!

Grandpa, Aunt Fal and Uncle Al!

Papa came to visit for the birthday boys. We kept him busy while he was here! He put crib's together and used his mechanical engineering talents to machine Brian's broken lawn mower parts and put it together! Way to go Papa. Fallon and Alex helped me get ready for Colton's party by blowing up balloons and serving cake. We also had several games of beach volleyball which was very fun. Thanks for the visit!

Ode to Neechi!

Our little Neechi dog passed away October 3 2008.
Neechi came about when I purchased him for my older sister. My Mom let me buy him for her (without my Dad's permission) because she was going to move out and wanted a companion. I still remember picking him out with my Mom. Something about him, I just knew he was the one. He ended up being the PERFECT family dog. He was with Jenne for about a year until she left for some Nanny duties one summer and couldn't take him. Then he became very close to Jill as she finished her senior year of High School and then into her college years. Jill was responsible and got him all caught up on his shots and ready to move out with her until her apartment didn't allow pets. Then he became very close to Kip the year before he left on his mission. He worked at the post office on the grave yard shift and at 3 am when Kip got home Neechi was always in the window waiting for him. Then Kip left. He became very close with me the semester I moved back home (while I was married) so Brian could teach in Boise and I could finish my senior year of Volleyball with Idaho State. Then when I moved to Boise I took him with me. He became Brian's little bear cub and would wrestle with him every night before bed. Him and sugar were our babies and provided us with a lot of companionship. In our little boy's 16th year of life we knew there was going to be a time sooner than later. We started talking about the inevitable in May and when he started to get aggressive with Colton we knew it was time. I got to be with him which was very good for me because watching him pass so peacefully has made the transition easier on me. We miss him very much. Colton still asked about him every night before bed time and I tell him he is in heaven. Then Colton will say " Night night to Neechi in Heaben" Night night bubba! We will all never forget your feisty, loyal, and passionate personality. We love you.

Playing Football with Dad!

Colton and I went to meet Daddy before one of his football games. Colton loves playing with Dad and gets more and more rough each day. He learned how to kick the football and hit 'em hard! It was so fun for me to watch.

Before Colton goes to bed I always ask him the what the favorite part of his day was... today he replied "kickin' football" it was so cute. He loves his Daddy and so do I!

Colton's haircut.

After we were threatened by several women close to our heart to "quit shaving that babies head" we decided to try to leave it longer on top but still shave the back. One sucker worked magic as Colton held as still as he could while Daddy tickled his neck with the electric razor. I think it turned out great. What a handsome boy you are bud! He is riding his bike in the garage. One of our many hobbies.

The Apple Orchard!

Colton, Suzanne and Mommy went to the Church's apple orchard to help pick apples. Colton loved the tractor and the irrigation ditch. He was a great helper!

Picnic in the Park!

Colton loves the swings and running on the play equipment. He loves water slides but still is timid around big slides.

Mrs. Leatham!!!

My beautiful friend Anna got recently got married and I was so lucky to get to be a part of it. I was her maid of honor and I had so much fun. I have so many favorite parts of the weekend that I think a list will be the best.
I loved the first time I walked down to the ceremony site. (She had her wedding at a ranch in Hailey ID and it was beautiful.) Anyways there were openings in the trees and then some areas where you walked through a canopy of trees. I felt something so majestic that first walk down that set the tone for the whole weekend.
I loved the walk back up because it was just Anna, Alyssa and I. Now that all of us are growing up we really have to fight to get just us time. It was great to get two of my best girl friends all to my self for a few minutes before we got back up to the main house of the Ranch.
I loved watching Anna walk down the aisle for our three rehearsal's. I cried every time.
My least favorite... when the flowers came but Joyce and Jane saved the day with that saga so it had a happy ending.
Anna made all of her bridesmaids a book, it is something I will always cherish. Thanks for my book buddy!
I loved staying with Wendy and her parents. They took me.. and later my family.. in like we were one of their own. Wendy's mom even packed me a snack on the big day because she knew I was pregnant and wanted to make sure I didn't go hungry! Thanks Tammy!
I loved that Anna studied a picture of her parents on their wedding day when she couldn't sleep. She is so cute.
I loved watching Anna's mom put her necklace on her. I love Anna's mom and for some reason when ever she gets emotional I seem to be right along with her. My first tears of the day.
I loved that my friend Liz was there to do our hair. She is amazing and very sincere.
I loved watching Anna's Dad and Uncle (I think) listen to the Husker's game. They sure are passionate about their football!!
I loved that I got to give Anna a hug right before I left her. The next time I would hug her she would be a married woman!
My All time favorite thing I loved the most was watching Anna come through the trees meet her Dad and come down the aisle. I thought I had rehearsed crying enough the day before that I would make it but she was the happiest I have ever seen her walking towards Jonathon in front of the people she loved. It was a magical moment and I was sobbing.
I loved holding her flowers while she got married.
I loved dancing with my husband. He was so much fun and such a great sport! I had told him for two weeks my job was to keep the dance floor going and he was right there with me. I had so much fun dancing with him. Thanks Babe! (Thanks again Tammy for taking all the kids so I could dance with my man!)
I loved that Anna loved the toast I gave her. I was so nervous though and a little teary so I wasn't sure about it but I think she loved it.
I loved eating all the extra jelly belly beans from the thank you boxes. I had my pocket full the entire night.
I loved the ride on the hummer half way through the night with just Anna. Again me being selfish but it was just a second her and I got together.
I loved waking up the next morning and having a gourmet breakfast that I didn't have to cook. Again Tammy and Terry you two are the best!
Thanks Anna and Jonathon for letting me be part of your wedding day. It was the fanciest wedding I have ever seen. So perfect, you guys did great!
