my nephew

is cooler than yours.

i might be biased. but seriously... 

this kid is four. 

he skates better than a lot of my friends. 

and for a 2.5 year old, dane is pretty cool too.

hawaii

my grandma had a birthday in august.  

so naturally we all needed to go out to hawaii to help her celebrate. 

i can't express how much i love hawaii. 

i love it more than cereal and ice cream. 

(which in case you don't know me that well... is a whole lot) 

i didn't take many pictures.

(i really am going to be working on that)

estes park

for the gustavson family reunion this year we all met up in estes park. 

i took most of the pictures with my mom's camera and don't have access to those.  

but here are a few of the ones that i took with my camera/phone. 

it was another fun trip. 

we rented three cabins in the woods. toured a famous hotel, rented boats/bikes, made s'mores, played games, ate, hiked, played more games, and hung out. 

i love my family. 

carmageddon weekend

the weekend of the supposed 'carmageddon,' 

jess and i decided to head up to LA  for a craft fair. 

to avoid the awful traffic we decided to take the train. 

apparently we weren't the only ones with that idea...

 we sat on the floor. the whole way. smashed. 

and loved it. 

the craft fair was fun. 

lots of great stuff and fun ideas.  

on our way home we stopped by homegirl cafe. 

it was good food.  for a really great cause. 

next time you're in LA check it out. 

(plus their salsa can be found in some grocery stores.  so good!)

Portlandia

after my trip to seattle i decided i needed to go check out what else the pacific northwest has to offer.  

so in july i hopped on a plane to portland to see what all the hype was about. 

i loved it! 

(not as much as i love seattle but...) 

there is something about these green, lush, bike friendly cities that really i adore.  

went to powells.  

(a bookstore that takes up an entire block. book lovers heaven)

went snowboarding. in july! 

amazing.  i want to go back in the winter. 

 reminisced on the good ole days with this kid.

ate lots of yummy food. 

 checked out down town

pizza delivery by bike. 

i'm in love. 

rose garden.

checked out the temple.

also, went to sky high. worked on doing a backflip and an aerial.

went to a birthday party.

explored awesome areas of portland.

ate more food.

came home tired and happy.
