I love Curry.... and not just the food.

The month of december brings us many great things. One of those things is Miss Adrienne Curry. In December we celebrate her birth and her fabulousness. This year we celebrated with a lovely night of watching the balboa boat parade, followed by a delicious dinner of soup in bread bowls (seriously so good). We love Adrienne and had so much fun celebrating with her.

I can't believe its over. Christmas came and then it all too quickly went. I am in denial and want to pretend that its going to be Christmas for at least another week or two.

I love Christmas. With every fiber of my being. I love the lights. I love the music. Love the reason for the season. This year I wanted to celebrate as much as I could. ME and I decided that what better way to celebrate this wonderful season then to have a par-tay. In order to spice things up a bit we decided to have a photo booth. We had so much fun setting up and even more fun going through the pictures after the party.

In the spirit of keeping Christmas going I thought I would share a few of my favorites:

Dear Santa

Tonight I wrote Christmas letters to Santa with my little ones. In their lists they talked about guitars, princess kitchens, dinosaurs, bikes etc. My letter went a little something like this:

Dear Santa,

I know its kind of late notice but this year I would like something tall dark and handsome. Maybe around 5'10''-6'0'' (I'm not opposed to taller but I have a lot of tall friends that could use a tall guy. So I don't want to be greedy). I would love it if he had blue eyes, rosy checks, and a smile with perfect teeth. Could he please be donned in chuck's and possibly a cardigan? And most of all can he please be funny? Not just haha funny but more like BAHAHAHA funny. A little athleticism would be nice too. And possibly a love for snowboarding??

PS... If its not asking too much could he please also love 80's dancing and secretly play a cool instrument like the cello or trumpet. I've been really good this year.

Catch me if you can...

School just about kicked my butt this finals season. But I am finally finished!! Well at least for this semester. I couldn't be more excited to head home this next week and spend a relaxing week with the kids in good ole' San Jose.

But now that I have a moment of spare time I am finally catching up on all the stuff that I wanted to blog about in the last 2 months. So bare with me as I stroll down this very short memory road.

Just what I always wanted:

At Christmas, when we open our presents our family has a tradition of saying (no matter what the gift is... especially if its socks) "Just what I always wanted!" Well Christmas came a little early for me this year. The first weekend in December I was able to do two things that I have ALWAYS wanted to do.

1. My friend Christi and I have gone on many road trips together. And whenever we do we always end up spending a large amount of our times harmonizing (or at least trying to) with Delores and the rest of the Cranberries. So when I found out that they were going on tour I just about died of happiness.

Finally after all these years of quietness they came back to the stage and Christi and I were there. It was AH-mazing.

I know I exaggerate a lot... but seriously this concert was SO good. She has the most incredible voice and the energy in the room was unforgettable. From start to finish... I was ecstatic.

2. Then on Saturday night Morgan, ME, Jess, and I headed down to San Diego to see Jerry Seinfield live stand-up. We got down to SD a little early so we walked around old town and enjoyed ourselves a fresh tortilla.

The show was so SO funny. My face hurt from smiling and laughing so much. I would highly HIGHLY recommend anyone that wants to see him to do so.

He was 100% appropriate and 100% hilarious.

I am a very blessed girl.

Give Thanks for BYU

This year we spent Thanksgiving in the beautiful land of Zion. I had no batteries in my camera so I only got a few shots of the weekend.

But it was spent:

eating yummy food with the fam,

pinching the cheeks of my little ones,

long runs in freezing weather,

watching "The Blindside"

(Which I LOVED)

Eating at the Mayan

(which I've always wanted to do)

and of Course:

Going to the BYU vs Utah Game

EAT (a lot)

There are a few holidays that I absolutely love. St. Patricks Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. So as the holidays began to roll around ME and I decided to take the chance to throw our very first Thanksgiving Feast.

In preparations for the feast ME gathered dinnerware, including the amazing goblets shown below, from her parents house and I searched long and hard for napkins that I loved with which we could dab our faces with. After no luck, I decided to take it upon my self to make napkins that found suitable. I had seen these:

On a blog somewhere and loved them. So with the help of this one:

I made my own. And I LOVE them.

It was so much fun to decorate the house, cook some delicious food, and start to get into the holiday spirit.

It was potluck style and I must say that I was very impressed by the spread. It felt just like a real Thanksgiving dinner. And the company was equally, if not more, impressive than the food.
