A Very Merry Christmas

Santa came! I was sooo excited! Gigi, Bec-Bec, and Brian came over on Christmas morning. We had a yummy breakfast, and we all had a wonderful time playing with my new toys!

This was my first time to play with a remote control car, and it's all "MINE"!

Later in the morning Thomas came to visit and watched me drive my new power wheel. Then, we loaded the car and drove to Nana and Pop's house in Franklin. Both of my great grandmas were there as well as Kathleen, Charles, Cat, Craig, and Gigi. We had tons of delicious food and drinks and got to open many more presents! We don't have any pictures yet of that part of the day, because we used the video camera instead. Hopefully, there will be more pictures coming soon.

I had a very merry Christmas and hope that you did too. Praise the Lord for this special time of year and all of our many wonderful blessings!

Christmas Eve

I got to open one present on Christmas Eve - my first "Power Wheel"!!

I am always asking to "go outside and drive," so this was an awesome gift!

What??!!! No more presents until the morning??!! "Ohhhhh nooooo!"

Two of my favorite phrases this week have been: "here ya go" and a very exaggerated "ooohhhhhh noooooo." I'm a bit of a drama king sometimes. :)

Ok, so define "good"....

because my mommy says that Santa would not define my current behavior as "good" and it's questionable as to whether he will be coming to visit. Although, I do take great pride in my "terrible twos" that have come early and my extremely dramatic temper tantrums that are occurring more frequently each day.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Daddy's birthday, and last weekend Daddy had a family birthday party at Maggiano's - a fancy Italian restaurant in Nashville. If you haven't been, I hear you should try it. Unfortunately, I wasn't old enough to make the invite list! However, I did get to play with Nanny Pat! I also got to see snow for my first time this season! We watched it snow outside and fed the cold and hungry birds. Aunt Cat (who is from Newfoundland) said that it was "a light frost" and not "snow." But, we southerners got real excited about the dusting of snow that collected on the bushes, trees, and rooftops! My new coat is an early Christmas present from Gigi. Thanks Gigi! It has now been tested in the wintry weather, and it really kept me warm!

This time of the year is great! With Daddy's birthday and Christmas, there are all kinds of packages, boxes, wrapping paper, and bows to play with!

My New Favorite Game

I love to play in the tupperware cabinet! Throwing all the tupperware out of the cabinet is almost the best part of the game.

I like for someone to knock on the outside of the door. If noone knocks once I close the door, sometimes I will start knocking from the inside and yell "knock knock peeezzzz."

Phrases - no longer just words!

What a fun age this is! I am literally saying new words and phrases every single day!

So, earlier this week (when it wasn't 70 degrees in December!!!) I intervened with mama letting Lizzy out and told her: "no. lizzy outside. jacket." I figured...well...if I have to take the time to put on a silly jacket every time I go outside, Lizzy should have to also! So, we found her jacket, and I helped mama put it on her. You can tell by the pictures that she was sooooo appreciative! Boy.... there's nothing like the rolling eyes of a sibling!

So, today the Titans are playing the Chargers, and of course we are all decked out in our Titans gear. (In the earlier pictures I'm wearing my Titans sweatsuit - not to be confused with my Titans jersey!) Well, as mama and I were entering the house, you could hear the football game was starting. As we were walking in the back door, I started saying "but-baugh" (football). I headed straight for the den, and as soon as I saw dada, I said "dada. but-baugh. no. Mickme!!!" (Mickey Mouse). Needless to say, I didn't win that debate. And fortunately I'm so cute that my dada just laughed and didn't get his feelings hurt. Now, next time might be a different story! :)

Playgroup at Chuck E. Cheese

I had a great time playing with all my girlfriends at Chuck E. Cheese on Friday. I was real excited to see the same car I had riden on my first birthday!

If it had been up to me, I would have "driven" this car the whole time.

Visit with Santa

On the day after Thanksgiving, Grandma ("Meek") took me Christmas shopping at a cute little store in Monroe called "Spoiled Rotten." They had some really precious children's clothes that I didn't care anything about! On Saturday, Santa Claus was there, so we went back to have my picture made with him. This year's visit with Santa was not nearly as pleasant as last year's. I guess I'm old enough now to understand a little more what to expect humans to look like, and I just thought Santa is a very funny looking human. I have seen him a couple of times since, and I still shake my head "no" and just like to stand at a distance and stare at him. But, if you ask me what he says, I can certainly tell you that. "HO! HO! HO!"

My Daddy has two grandmas which means that I have two great-grandmas. He and Aunt Kathleen have always called them both Grandma. When I kept hearing Grandma Meek all weekend, I eventually decided it was easiest to say "Meek," so that's what I've been calling her so far.

A Cajun Thanksgiving

This year I was especially thankful for two pears ("doo payah"). Friday, I saw them on the counter at the Williams' house and asked to play with two balls ("doo bah"). I eventually learned they were pears and not balls, and once I learned to say it properly, I repeated it over and over again the rest of the weekend.

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Monroe, Louisiana at my Great-Grandma Meek's house. It was my first time to meet many of the cousins on my daddy's side of the family. The Williams hosted the big, annual Thanksgiving Dinner, and they had us over the next night for homemade gumbo. It was all delicious! Spencer and Alexander have really great "big boy" toys at their house, and I got to jump on a trampoline for the first time in their backyard. The boys had a great time building with blocks at Grandma's house, and I had an even better time knocking down their towers!

Spencer and Alexander read me a bedtime story. We had a great time playing together. Thanks so much to the Williams for hosting such a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner!

New Shoes

While we were in Nashville a couple weeks ago, I went shopping for new shoes. Nana took Daddy, Aunt Kathleen, and me to the same shoe store they had gone to when they were children.

I was a little squirmy (as usual), but the nice man still managed to figure out the size of my foot. And, boy, were we all surprised?! My feet had grown two sizes since we had my feet measured this summer. Wow! We had gotten bigger sized shoes earlier this fall, but apparently my feet are growing VERY fast! It made my parents feel very negligent, but at least now they understand why I didn't like wearing shoes. :)

I got real grown-up tennis shoes. They are gray New Balance, and they fit great! I have already managed to get them muddy several times, so they don't have that "brand new" look anymore. You know...."worn and used" is the cool look these days.

Being so proud of my new shoes, I was very insistent that I carry the bag. Plus, carrying bags has been one of my favorite things to do lately. I like to help Mommy carry in the groceries. I also like to put a bag on my shoulder, carry car keys, and pretend that I am leaving. As soon as I see a bag lying around, I put it on my shoulder and start asking for keys. Then, I carry my bag and keys to the back door, proceed to say "bye-bye," and blow kisses several times. After doing that for awhile, I will disappear to the other end of the house and start the routine all over again a few minutes later. Playing "pretend" is so much fun!

"Show Me the Money!"

"Munae" is the way I pronounce it, and I am fascinated with it. The brown munae is my favorite. I walk around the house begging for it. Every time I see a purse or wallet I start saying munae, munae, munae. If you give me only one piece, you're guaranteed to be asked for more, more, more. I like to put it in containers and shake it. I carry it around in my Halloween pumpkin. I try to put it in different slots and tiny places on my toys. I put it in different bags. I'll put the munae in the bag, the bag on my shoulder, and tell you bye-bye as I head for the door. Munae and spoons have been my favorite toys lately, and some think I'm a little obsessed.

You better not take my munae! I like to put it on and in different parts of my toys.

I'm slowly learning to count, and from what I hear,

munae is the best thing to have around to count.
