When We Get a Bigger House...

We're definitely going to have to get Drew a play kitchen. No matter what store we're in, as long as there's a kitchen for him to play with, he's happy. My mom and I made our regular visit to Lone Star Baby yesterday, and Drew screamed when I pulled him from this kitchen. It sure didn't bother him that it was pink!

He apparently made a "shhh" noise when he was playing like he was filling up the cup.

His actually water bottle was in this oven. He would check it, and say "Oh!" and then shut the door again. Not sure what was going on in his little head.

Boy or Girl??

We find out next Friday, the 29th, what we are having. Do you think it is a girl or boy??

Kaki's Chocolate Cupcakes

Kaki (Bryan's mom) came over last night to bring us dinner and chocolate cupcakes. She made a special one in a heart-shaped dish just for Drew...it was HUGE. Drew REALLY enjoyed it, and he even shared a little with Daddy!

16 Weeks, 2 Days

How far along? 16 weeks, 2 days

Maternity clothes? Yes

Sleep: Better. I've started sleeping with my Snoogle AND my body pillow this week and it's working out better than just one or the other. I'm sure Bryan is loving all the space I'm taking!

Best moment this week: I officially felt the baby move early this morning. I think one of its limbs was dragging across a small part of my tummy. Looking forward to more consistent movement and then KICKS!

Movement: See above.

Food cravings: Anything sweet for breakfast. Cold water, cold milk, cold V8 - basically any beverage that's cold! Sushi.

Gender: We find out January 29th!

Labor Signs: n/a

Belly Button in or out? In...it's starting to spread out though...it will be flat before I know it.

What I miss: Jeans (and bras) that fit...hopefully going to get new ones today. Sleeping on my stomach. Not having headaches. Energy. SUSHI!!!!

What I am looking forward to: More consistent baby movement, kicks, and finding out the gender.

Weekly Wisdom: Lay off the sodas - a recommendation by my mom.

Milestones: Feeling the baby move.

A Rare Occasion

We've only let Yukon in the house a handful of times since Drew was born because he sheds so bad and is just too big to be inside this little house with a little toddler around. While it was so cold out last week, we were the best parents ever and let Yukon sleep inside a couple of nights. I think he really enjoyed being chased around by Drew and in from the frigid air for a few hours.

I couldn't get the right angle, so there are really bad shadows and my face looks fatter than it really is...in my opinion anyway :)

Baylor vs. Tech

We all went to the Baylor vs. Tech football game at Cowboys Stadium over the Thanksgiving holidays. I have more pictures, but found these on my phone and thought they were too cute not to post right away. Drew, Bryan, and I were the only Baylor fans in our section since we were sitting with Bryan's family (all Tech fans). It ended up being fun though...especially the first half since we were winning. Unfortunately we lost our groove in the 2nd half, but I'm still proud of our Bears!

Traveling with Drew

SOMETIMES Drew gets fussy on long road trips. When this happens, the only thing that will calm him down are his blanket ("Bee") and Patches ("PaPa").

(Laura Lyn and Nancy, I think I may have to order Drew another blanket...one for home and one for the car. He is getting attached!!!)

Just a Sweet Picture

Last time we went to see Mercedes & Karis at gymnastics, Drew got super excited. This was his reaction when I told him who we were going to see.

I'm not looking so pretty today, so I don't have a picture for this post. I'll try to get one tomorrow.

Sleep: Okay; I'm still getting hot at night, but luckily my mom and dad gave me some summer maternity PJs that help.

Best moment this week: Actually it was last week - got to see the little squirt on sonogram. My doctor couldn't find the heartbeat using the doppler, so I had an emergency sono. Luckily the little critter is healthy as can be!

Movement: I think I've felt movement a few times. Just little flutters here and there, but nothing FOR SURE.

Food cravings: Anything sweet for breakfast. Cold water, cold milk, cold V8 - basically any beverage that's cold! Sushi this week.
