The Chair Is In!

After thinking our recliner wouldn't be here for another 3-4 weeks, we were surprised to get a call Monday that it was ready to pick up!! I went yesterday after work to the Magic Moon warehouse and picked it up. It is SO much prettier than I ever expected, and it's also a bit larger than I remembered. Anyway, my dad came over late last night to help Bryan get it out of the house and into the nursery. It's a miracle they got it through the doorway...I was scared we were going to have to take it back or tear down a wall to get it in the room. However, they finally got it in there, and it looks so good! Here are some pictures of the nursery with ALL of the furniture. Now it's time to decorate!!

We Have Furniture!

We got all but one peice of our nursery furniture this weekend! We got the 7 drawer chest and the 3 drawer reversible changing table/dresser. Now we're just waiting for our recliner to get here! Larger pictures are posted in the "Drew's Room" album.

26 1/2 Weeks

I'm 26 1/2 weeks now, and it seems like time is flying by. Here's a pic of my growing belly for those of you who care. I've also included a picture of me in Steamboat Springs, CO. We went there last week for one of Bryan's work trips. Although I didn't get to ski, it was still a nice vacation...slept in, read, and just enjoyed the scenery.





Since I've cut my hours I've actually been sleeping a lot better at night. Instead of waking up 5 or 6 times during the night, I'm only waking up 1 or 2 times. I just hope this good sleep continues until Drew gets here. I know I'm going to need as much rest as possible between now and then. Other than that, not much else has been going on. Drew continues to be an active little guy, and a lot of the time it feels like he's using my belly as his own personal punching bag. As much as he likes to kick, maybe he'll end up being a soccer player like his Uncle AJ was.


Upcoming events:
3D sonogram on Friday, February 29th! Mom, Dad, and Bryan's mom will be joining us.
First 3rd trimester appointment on March 4. I'll be doing the glucose/diabetes test that day. It's also the start of going to the doc every other week instead of just once a month.

Cuttin' Back Hours

I went to the doctor last Tuesday, and everything looks good! I've put on quite a bit of weight, but the doctor says it's all just fluid retention and he's not worried about it at all. He said if my blood pressure changes (right now it's perfect), then he'll take action. Otherwise, I should lose this extra fluid poundage soon after Drew is born. This was the first appointment where he measured my belly. I'm growing at a normal rate, and he said Drew's heartbeat is good and strong. At my next appointment, I'll have to do the glucose test (for diabetes). I'm NOT looking forward to that.

Since I've been getting sore and EXTREMELY tired at work, the doctor recommended I cut back my hours. Therefore, instead of working 8 hours every Monday-Wednesday, I'm only working 4 hours those days now. Today was my first day with the new schedule, and I can't believe how good I feel! Bryan's out of town, so he can't witness it, but maybe next week I'll start cooking dinner again and he'll notice the difference.

Another note about Bryan - he felt Drew kick!! For about the past month or so I'd motion for Bryan to come over and feel Drew kicking. He'd put his hand on my belly, and Drew would stop. Well, Sunday morning we were lying in bed, and Drew had been kicking me all night. So, I went ahead and just had Bryan lie there with his arm around my belly, and Drew kicked him in the arm!! It was an exciting moment for me, and I'm sure it was for Bryan too. I can't wait for Drew to start kicking more often so his daddy can feel him all the time.

I think that's all for this post. We go for our 3D sonogram on the 29th, so I probably won't post anything until then unless something else exciting happens. Everyone have a great Valentine's Day!!

Clothes Galore!

Today Bryan brought in three good-sized boxes from his car. They were filled to the top with maternity clothes, baby boy clothes, and pregnancy books - all from our friends Lyndon, Laura, Logan, and Luke. I don't know if we'll be able to use all of the clothes they sent...there are just SO many! I'm so thankful that we have friends like them. I can't wait to get more hand-me-downs from their boys in the future...that's a hint Laura. Anyway, I've included a picture of the little man's new outfits. There was also a little bitty Polo shirt included in the box...he'll be dressing like his daddy!

More Progress

Today Bryan put the curtains up in Drew's room! Didn't he do a great job!?!?
