nicknames

yesterday i showed elliana some pictures that i put into a slide show for her birthday party. there was a sequence of pictures of her with toby, then with me (steph), then some with david. well while looking at the pictures of her and I, she was saying "ma ma" and saying "da da" during the pictures of david. then to my surprise she kept pointing and saying "yeah yeah" while we looked at the pictures of her and toby!

so toby named her "uggie" and elliana named him "yeah yeah"

Recipes- Pizza Dough

i wanted to keep a record for myself plus pass on to you some good recipes that we have discovered.

THIN CRUST PIZZA DOUGH

Put about a teaspoon of sugar into 1 cup of warm water
Then add one package (or 2 1/4 tsp) of active dry yeast into the water. Let it sit about 10 minutes or until it becomes foamy.
Pour it into a large bowl.
Add 2 1/2 cups of flour, 1 tsp of Redman's sea salt, 1 Tbs of raw sugar, 1 Tbs of EVOO, then lots of Basil and Italian Seasoning.
Knead until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Put it in a well oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let sit in a warm dark place for about 30 minutes or until it had doubled in size.

Then punch down and divide dough in half. Roll onto pizza stones or baking sheets. Add your favorite sauce and toppings.

Bake for 20ish minutes in oven at 425 degrees. Sometimes I bake the crust alone in the oven for the first 10 minutes then put the toppings on and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

We love it! It's so quick that you can make it in the late afternoon and you'll have a fresh pizza in time for dinner! We found the original recipe online then modified it to our liking. So tweak it if you find that it is missing something for you.

Happy Cooking :) If you try this recipe out, let me know how it worked for you.

**hannah, i bet you are the first one reading this :)

Window

We now have a window in our apartment! Our friend, Ira, came over on Tuesday and painted this picture of the farm. She did an amazing job! It's the next best thing to a real window...

baby goats!

We now have 14 baby goats!
This is one of the mommy's with her new twins, Solidarity and Marley.

Elliana is pretending that she is a baby goat by chewing on a piece of hay!

Toby loved picking the babies up and then trying to hold them in his lap

I love this one! he is becoming a little farmer!
