Hypothetically speaking...

Does anyone else feel extreme bitterness and anger when they hear a particular song?

For example, hypothetically speaking, let's say you heard this song on the radio today:

"If You Leave"  by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD)

Hypothetically speaking, let's say upon hearing even the first few bars of the song,

you felt compelled to yell and scream things like:

"She should have picked Duckie!!"

or

"Blane sucks!!"

Hypothetically speaking,

if one feels such intense antagonism toward a fictional character (Blane) from a film that was made over 20 years ago,

would that make one certifiably lame and stuck in 1986?

Hypothetically speaking,

if that song inspires such loyalty and devotion toward a fictional character (Duckie) from a film that was made over 20 years ago,

would that make one even more lame and pathetic?

This lame and pathetic 1986-lover wasn't me, by the way.

All of these things are merely hypothetical situations, and any similarity to persons, alive or dead, are purely coincidental. . .

however stuck in 1986 she may be.
