So, all about Charlotte....
Our little Charlotte Renee was born on February 6, 2005, just one day shy of her due date and our wedding anniversary. Charlotte is a very precocious and very smart 3 year old who happens to be a Princess. And not just any princess, but a whole bunch of them. It just depends on the day. For the record, she is Princess Genevieve at the moment. Charlotte is such a joy and a light in our lives. Never a dull moment with Char. Charlotte also adores shoes, jewelry, crowns, twirly dresses, and anything else that can even remotely resemble Princess-like attire. In fact, one of the most effective methods of discipline for Charlotte is to tell her that she can't wear a dress/skirt unless she does....whatever it is. Or to tell her that she can't be a Princess unless she does...whatever. It is kind of funny, but making her wear shorts or pants is the most terrible punishment to Charlotte. Charlotte also loves to read. The same exact stories over and over and over and over and over again. Why, who knew that Snow White and Cinderella hold the same fascination even after you have read them at least 200 times? Evidently Charlotte knows! :) She has read them (or more accurately, had them read TO her) so many times that she picks up the books and pretty much recites them word-for-word, and thinks that she is so big reading like Savannah. So cute.
Speaking of cute, about a month ago, I told Charlotte she was so beautiful, and she said, "No, I'm so cute." So I said, "Oh, you're cute, huh?" And Charlotte thought about it for a minute, then told me "No, I'm cute-iful."
Flippin' adorable. So that is my Charlotte, the Cute-iful Princess....
