Christmas time and Disneyland!!!!

It's been a long vacation, but it's been so much fun! We had our ward Christmas party in Sandpoint on December 6th, and then got ready for Christmas down in Hayden, closed up our Sandpoint cabin, and got ready for a much needed, warm vacation!!!! Well, the pictures won't download, so they are on my facebook page if you want to see them! Needless to say, the holidays were awesome. We spent Christmas Eve with Aunt Sandy, Uncle Alan, Tyler and Amy and Jeremy and their family. We had Prime Rib and it was AWESOME!!!! Christmas Eve we had Angels (Tenley), Joseph (Tytan), Mary (Mylie), and Bailey too! It was a great night and a great Christmas Eve. Christmas day was very quiet. We opened our presents around nine, we had to wake up Tenley, and then had sandwiches, watched football, and hung out with family. It was great!

After Christmas we were getting ready for New Years!!! We went to Aunt Suzie and Uncle Doug's house and had a great time playing games and celebrating the New Year. 2013 started out great and I can't be more excited for a year than I have been now!

After New Years', we had to get ready to leave to CALIFORNIA!!! I was super excited! Abby (Trevor and Tamar's daughter) was baptized on the 5th! We were so excited for her decision and her great example to all her cousins that it was awesome to see her follow the Savior's example. We landed on the 2nd late at night, played with the family on the 3rd (jumped on the trampoline a lot), ate at In N Out! The 4th we went to Disneyland and California Adventure. It was a full day, but so much fun! I would recommend it to anyone! The 5th was Abby's baptism and it was amazing. Auntie Sharon and Uncle Bob came and it was great to have fun with the family afterwards. Hawaiian BBQ is AMAZING!!! Then it was church on sunday, saying good-bye to the family and coming home early monday morning.

We have had such a great time with our family. It was really hard to leave and Tenley didn't want to leave her friends at all. At Disneyland she was coming back from the bathroom with Lyle and she saw Emma and Abby and exclaimed, "MY SISTERS!!!!!". It was so sweet to see them all play together. I can't wait to see them again someday! I miss the weather a lot today, and family more. Thanks for the great holidays with Family! We love you all and we miss those that were absent!

Tenley loves the Marty Rainbow Wig from Madagascar 3... now if I could only get that stupid song out of my head..... Da da da da da da da da CIRCUS!!!

Apparently stockings are for your feet and not to put up for santa to fill. WHO KNEW???

Princess Tenley, for a day, thanks to Mylie

So excited to be in Undies and have her new shoes on!

Cooking with Grandma. Nothing is better!

She loves her daddy's work glasses!
Here are some random pictures of Tenley. We love her. Most of the time! She is so great! Too bad she has had too much TV time lately. Last night for dinner she needed a napkin and Lyle asked her. "What do you say?" and she answered, "OHH TOOOOODLES!!!". She keeps us on our toes! That's for sure!

Thanksgiving/ Halloween and other Fall festivities!

So life has been a little crazy lately, and I have been a HORRIBLE picture taker. SORRY! But here are some pictures from our latest adventures!

I won a radio contest and Lyle and I got to go see Boys Like Girls! We had a free lunch and a semi-private concert! It was a lot of fun! We got autographed pictures and everything! They were really good too!

Tenley was a Bee for Halloween. She loved her costume and wouldn't take it off. We had a costume party at the library, she went on a parade with Mom at her school, and we went trick-or-treating! She was pretty tired that day, but had TONS of fun! She also said "Thank You!" to all the people who gave her candy. It was a proud mom moment!

Our nephew Matthew got baptized in October. It was lots of fun to get together as a family and enjoy that great experience. We were sad that Lyle's dad wasn't physically there, but his presence was felt.
I promise to take more pictures in the coming month or so! We are doing great! We are closing up our cabin for the winter this weekend and will be down in Hayden permanently. It's a little weird, but I will be grateful to just stay in one place. Traveling sometimes is stinky!

Silverwood and other Summer Activities!

This summer has been full of unexpected and great surprises! Lyle started a new job in June and it was fun to have a change in pace. We moved to CDA with my parents and we now live in two places, down here during the week and then up in Sandpoint on weekends. It's fun to be back and forth, but I am looking forward to when we can settle in one place! Hopefully that won't be too much longer.

In July, Lyle's dad passed away. It was very unexpected and very sad for us. I will miss his laughter and sense of humor the most. He was such a loving man. I am grateful for the plan of salvation so that I know that I can see him again. I am also very grateful for prayers and love that was sent our way. We were buoyed up by the spirit that whole week and miracles happened so that we could all be there together with our mom. It is still hard to write and talk about it, and he is still very missed, but we love him!

Lyle's company gave free tickets to Silverwood this year for a family day, so we decided to go! We had so much FUN! Tenley rode the rides for the first time by herself and we had a great time at the water park, the train ride, and of coarse Dippin' Dots are a favorite! We had a great time and are looking forward to more company parties. It was great to get to know Lyle's company and the great people that he works with. We are so blessed!

She LOVES her Dippin' Dots! Hope you enjoy the update. More to come! (Hopefully!)

Living it up in CDA

So sorry I have been a slacker again lately, but I promise I will be better since we have now moved in with my parents and we have fast internet again! Now if I can just get my computer to connect to the internet, all will be well! Lyle got a new job working in Post Falls, so we decided to move in with my parents so we could spend more time together and Lyle wouldn't have to drive for 4 hours a day! Tenley is loving living with Grandma (mamaw) and Grandpa (Papa). Tracks (our dog) loves it too. Dad really loves her and she is getting a crash course on leash training! We never had to have her on a leash in the Cabin, but now it's super important. We are excited for this new adventure and more pictures to come for sure!

Sorry it's taken so long update!!!

I have been a slacker blogger lately! So here is a rundown of the last couple of months! AKA our Christmas card to all of you!

September: I quit my job at Panhandle State Bank and started staying home with Tenley! Definitely not the easiest thing I have ever done, but I love my daughter and I love staying home with her. She is the greatest gift ever and the sweetest little girl! Met my friend Krissi..... she is AMAZING! I started canning with her, making homemade bread, and having fun with her and her family. Great friend to hang out with and great example to me. I also kept going to Zumba, but not as regularly as before. I got released as Primary Chorister and called as Relief Society Teacher, and Lyle got released as Ward Mission Leader and called as Teachers Quorum Advisor. So my Zumba class on Wednesday night was no longer possible. That's ok though. I was starting to get  anxious about certifying in October and wanted to get all the practice in as I could!

October: Certified as a Zumba instructor! Thanks so much to Mom and Dad for watching Tenley for me while Lyle worked and I was gone to Spokane all day. So much fun, and I am so happy that I did it, but now it was real and I had to find a place to teach and get all my insurance and stuff done. Oh, a little overwhelming, but definitely happy! Halloween was so much fun! We had a great holiday party and Tenley was the CUTEST Tigger ever! We love her so much. Tenley started climbing on chairs and not learning how to get down. She is super cute and I love her tons. Still hard to be a stay at home mom, and still adjusting to new life, but loving every minute of it!

November: Thanksgiving with the Vaniman family. Super exciting. We had a great holiday dinner and enjoyed the family and friends. Scoured ads for the day after thanksgiving sales to find Lyle's present. Went down to Coeur d'Alene to go shopping and went out with Dad while Mom watched Tenley. Had a great day with Mom and Dad and Tenley and came home. Started my Zumba classes at the Elementary School and have overcome my fear of trying to be perfect. It's WAY more fun teaching when you can mess up a little bit! I LOVE teaching Zumba and I wouldn't trade it for the world! I love my class and the ladies that come. I am having such a BLAST!

December (So Far): Dinner parties, Zumba Classes, and working out with Krissi on a regular basis. She is my saving grace. I love her SO Much. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. Not much snow so far, but Tenley is falling off chairs, laughing, learning new words and facial features. Enjoying this Holiday season by listening to Christmas Music and trying to learn new Zumba moves! Sang for my Ward Christmas Party and forgot to go to the end (oops!)! It was pretty funny. People didn't know whether to clap or not! So Funny! I was in charge for the music for our Relief Society dinner and no mess ups there! Everything went well and it was so much fun! I started a new diet of low carbs and sugars, and it has been going great! I am exercising Monday-Friday and feel great! I am excited for Christmas and being together with the great family that I have. I love you all and I hope you all have a great holiday season!

What we have been up to

So this summer has been full of fun surprises! First off, I started doing Zumba classes, and I have fallen in love. I seriously can't go a week without going to a class. So now I have decided that since I love it so much, I am going to become a Certified Zumba Instructor! I am super excited! My current Zumba instructor let me try some samples of "Shakeology". A meal replacement supplement that is supposed to be really good for you. I have to say that it wasn't my cup of tea, but Tenley sure enjoyed it!

I couldnt' help but laugh at her green moustache! Such a cutie!

We have also been traveling a lot this summer, and I think our cat is feeling neglected.
Poor thing has to get attention when she can! My favorite part is that she licks Tenley's face if there is any milk left on it! So funny!

Lyle has been "fixing" his shop. We are going to add a storage room onto his shop and keep our stuff there, and hopefully add a deep freezer for our food storage stuff. Then since we are going to do that, we are going to expand our bathroom to include the water heater and water pump into the house so that they don't freeze during the winter. I am so amazed at all Lyle can do! He is an amazing dad and an amazing person. We love him lots!

Not much else has been going on. I am leaving my job at the bank to be home with Tenley and I am really excited. I can't wait to be a full-time mom! I will miss all the amazing people that I work with. Life has it's challenges and it's surprises, but I am so grateful for a family that is always there and encourages you to do the right thing all the time. I feel so blessed!
