Happy Bee-day
A rainy Friday which always lends itself to more creative fun. I made this card for two different challenges. I used Linda's sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and was inspired by the inspiration list for the Festive Friday challenge. August 16 is National Honey Bee Day so their list was related to a bee theme. I used black, yellow, die cuts, bees, bee sentiment from the list.
STAMPS: The Buzz (Reverse Confetti).
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black.
PAPER: X-Press It Blending Card; Stamper's Select White, True Black, Bright Buttercup (Papertrey Ink); Black & White Stripes 6x6 pad (My Favorite Things).
DIES: Simple Strips (Pretty Pink Post); The Buzz (Reverse Confetti); Hexagon Elegant (Simon Says Stamp).
COPICS: Y13, Y15, C0, C2, C6, C7.
That's a wrap for today! Thanks for stopping by! ~Wanda

CAS Sand Dollar
A quick and easy design using the new layout for Freshly Made Sketches and also drawing inspiration with colors and sea theme for The Card Concept challenge. The sand dollar is a long time retired die from Reverse Confetti as is the sentiment set. Patterned papers are also old - Linen Closet pack from DCWV.
That's a wrap for this beautiful Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Bowl of Blooms
Good Friday morning! I combined 2 challenges together: Freshly Made Sketches for the layout and Retro Rubber Challenge which has us digging out those older items that haven't seen the light of day in awhile. They are also using the theme of "Sweet Spring Flowers". This Bowl of Blooms stamp/die set is an old set from Reverse Confetti (a company that closed a number of years ago). The patterned papers are also older pads from Reverse Confetti. I seldom use Copics anymore and wanted to brush up (no pun intended - haha) on blending them with this image.

Inspired By
The Inspired By challenge has an apple theme this week. I needed another bus driver thank you card for the grands, so I used my trusty patterned paper and added stamps from a fave old set by Reverse Confetti. Very quick and easy card to complete!

SSS Monday Challenge
Welcome friends! It's Tuesday and a bit overcast, so am hoping for some more rain. I don't know why I've been gravitating to older Reverse Confetti dies and stamps lately. I loved Jen's company and was so disappointed when it closed. When I saw that the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge was to use alcohol inks, I pulled this panel from my leftover stash. It already had the falling hearts cover die adhered to it, so all I did was layer it onto a black and a green panel and add a sentiment.

The Beary Best
After creating a couple of teacher cards, I can't forget about the bus drivers. Today, I'm keeping them in mind with the School Days stamp/die set from Reverse Confetti. I colored with Copics and paired the images up with some old patterned paper by Recollections.

Cute Critter
It's been a long time since I played along with the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp. This week's theme is cute critters and I'm needing to replenish my kid birthday supply, so this was a perfect way to start! I'm also entering this into the current Seize the Birthday challenge which is also about cute critters. I really miss the Reverse Confetti company that closed its doors but I can still play with some old favorites. I am also needing to brush up on my Copic coloring so this was a good practice.

Color Throwdown #800
Good Wednesday everyone! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge and yours truly is hosting with red, blue and kraft for the color palette. I went with an old favorite from Reverse Confetti for this card for a cool friend! It also gave me a chance to try out the newly released Slanted Shortcuts dies from Concord & 9th.
I popped up the popsicles with foam tape to add more dimension. This was a good way to use some of my MANY patterned paper pads!

Bowl of Blooms
I wanted to play along with a couple of challenges this morning while the rain is steadily coming down! The Inspired By challenge has a floral theme plus I was inspired by the blue striped pot. I am also entering this into the Freshly Made Sketches challenge where Cecile has a unique, fun sketch that I loosely interpreted with this twig sided frame die.
I smooshed distress inks onto my glass mat then used brushes to watercolor the pot and flowers. The image was first stamped with black pigment ink then embossed with clear powder. Thanks so much for stopping by...hope your weekend is going well! ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #768
Happy Wednesday everyone! It's time again for a new Color Throwdown challenge. Lynn is hosting with the following colors: yellow gold, brown, red, kraft. I recently was able to buy the School Days set by Reverse Confetti and was thrilled to have something to use for bus drivers for the grand kids! Though you can no longer get items directly from Reverse Confetti, their products are still available through other companies.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copics.

Celebrating Your Inner Rock Star
I dusted off an oldie but goody stamp set (Inner Rock Star) from Reverse Confetti to create a birthday card for a music lover. Linda has a great sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and there is a "Make it Musical" theme for the current Seize the Birthday challenge.
I used some of my minimal remaining stash of Aqua Mist paper (when will the paper company ever remake and restock this color?!) and dry embossed stars for the background. The white panel has a foam sheet behind it to pop it up.
The guitar was fussy cut and the records were cut with a small circle die. The red stripes were cut from a Reverse Confetti die that includes multiple frame options.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! ~Wanda
