Watermelon Girl

Another post for the day...this one using a fun digital image by Mo Manning! This watermelon girl was so much fun to color with Copics! I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch in a 5 1/4" square version and I'm also playing along with The Shabby Tea Room Challenge with a "Think Spring" theme to use pink, green, white and a sewing element.  Isn't that such a yummy inspiration photo?!  I thought this stitched-edge flag stamp by Verve would be perfect for the sentiment!  I added "for real" stitching and some buttons for the sewing elements.

Here's my supply list...
STAMPS: Watermelon Girl digi by Mo's Digital Pencil, Super Dad (flag) by Verve, Lean on Me (sentiment) by Verve.
PAPER: Ooh La La For Her by MME, White, X-Press It Blending Card.
INK: Versafine Onyx Black, Melon Mambo.
ACCESSORIES: Subtles collection of buttons by SU, Die-Namics Rounded Banner STAX by MFT.
COPICS: Hair-Y23, Y26, E23
                Bloomers-R81, R83, R85
                Skin-YR000, E11, E13, BV11, R20
                Watermelon-YG0000, YG11, YG13, YG17
                Ground-E40, E81, YG91
                Shading-E0000

Thanks for stopping by...I'm off to check out some spring flowers.  I do believe it might warm up and stay that way without frost warnings...finally!

Rum-pa-pum-pum

I still needed a card for my middle drummer son and this digi image by Mo Manning was the perfect fit! I'm also playing along with Korin's Sketch Challenge on SCS. Lots of Copics used on this...too many to list as it would be Christmas by the time I typed all those letters and numbers - lol!  Love the font on this sentiment from Verve's "Joyous Noel" set.  Paper is from Recollections' Holly Day Wishes 6x6 pad.
*Edit alert!  I have now colored the poor dog's nose!  Sheesh!  How did I go through all the photo process and not notice that before I posted?!!

Thanks for stopping by...

In the Garden

Spring has sprung at Raise the Bar and this week the challenge is taking you into the garden! Just create a card reflecting a gardening theme...flowers, tools, picket fences...you get the idea. I love this image by Mo Manning and had fun coloring her with Copics. After I finalized the card, I realized I forgot to add some "dirt" to her blue jeans! :-(  The frog, seed packet and spade stamps are from an old SU set called Garden Pleasures.  To give the frog some mottled texture, I dotted the image with a colorless blender.
The layout is this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS.
Hope you can join us in this fun challenge....hop on over (I'm toadally into the frog frame of mind - lol) to the Raise the Bar blog and see what the other bartenders have come up with for your inspiration!

PAPER: Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety" DP, Vintage Cream (PTI).

Digi Day

Hannah is asking us to use a digi for the Ways to Use It challenge over on SCS. I've had this sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil for some time and have never inked it up until now. I needed one more Christmas card, so this was perfect. Coloring was done with Copics.

STAMPS: In the Manger by Mo's Digital Pencil, Blessed Christmas (Verve)
PAPER: Old Olive, So Saffron, Music DP by Creative Imaginations, Neenah Solar White
ACCESSORIES: Copics, Distressing tool.

Wish For You

Jeanne's Free 4 All Challenge on SCS is to use our fave girl image. I initially thought of the adorable Pure Innocence girls I love a lot from MFT, but then I remember this digi from Mo's Digital Pencil which totally steals my heart! I used Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try for the layout...hard to believe it's the last one for 2011! I kept it simple...wanted to use some ribbon, but couldn't quite work it into the sketch, so left it without too many frills. I added Diamond Stickles to the heart and colored with Copics. The sentiment tab is a curly label punch with the end cut off. I also added a bit of white Flower Soft to the dandelions.
So here's what else I used:
STAMPS: Wish For You digital image by Mo's Digital Pencil, Mat Stack 3 Collection (sentiment) by PTI
PAPER: Basic Gray, Melon Mambo, White, Victoria Gardens DP by Echo Park
ACCESSORIES: MFT doily die, Curly label punch by SU, Brads by Paper Studio, Copics (E25, E31, E50-hair; E000, E00, R00-skin; R81, R83, R85-skirt/shoes; C00, C0, C1-shirt), Flower Soft.
