MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge & Color Challenge

I simply couldn't pass up MFT's wonderful Color Challenge this week and paired it up with the great new sketch for their Wednesday Sketch Challenge! The striped border is from MFT's Black and White Basics 6x6" paper pack.  I used florals from MFT's Mini Modern Blooms and used inks by Reverse Confetti (Piggy Bank, Magenta, Buttercup, Bumblebee Yellow, Pistachio, Lime Green) since I don't have the MFT line of ink pads.

I layered two of the die cut sentiments to give it more dimension.  I seldom create one layer cards but this is one of the rare ones - lol!

MFT Color & Sketch Challenges

I made this fun CAS design for the MFT Color Challenge #112 and the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #426. It's basically a one layer card with only the overlapping lower portion of patterned paper from MFT's Black and White Basics 6x6" pad.

PAPER: Tropical Teal, Wild Wisteria, Sour Apple by MFT; Black and White CS by PTI.

MFT Twofer

I created this card for two challenges over on the My Favorite Things challenge and inspiration blog. The MFT Color Challenge #110 is to use Grout Gray, Tickled Pink, Wild Wisteria and Steel Gray. I paired that with their MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #421.  The card base is Grout Gray CS and I stamped the Burlap background with WPlus9's Silver Lining ink (I don't have any MFT inks so had to substitute with close colors from other companies).  

I'm hoping the challenge police will not lock me up for adding a few green leaves to the mix. The flower centers were accented with Black and Lemon Twist Enamel Accents.

Halloween/Spooky Creation

I am late getting Halloween cards completed for the grands this year! Will enter this card into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge to create a Halloween/Spooky card! I'm also using the layout for MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge and for their weekly Color Challenge.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black on X-Press It 

Blending Card then die cut with matching dies after coloring with Copics.  Here is my enabler's list...

Birthday Tweetings

I'm squeaking in under the wire for the MFT Color Challenge and am also using the layout for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  I'm also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where anything goes this week.  The background was stenciled using a Tim Holtz mini stencil.  My intention was to sponge with the Sea Breeze ink color but I unknowingly used a sponge that had some light brown ink on it. :-(  No time to fix it since I was so close to the deadline.

Thanks Snow Much

A clean and simple design for two challenges on the MFT Challenge and Inspiration blog: MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge and the current MFT Color Challenge.  Coloring was done with Copics on X-Press It Blending CS after stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Snowflakes were stamped with WPlus9 Sea Breeze and Fairy Dust inks.  Base and snowflake CS is PTI's Tropical Teal.  The carrot nose was colored with Crisp Cantaloupe ink by SU using an aquapainter.

MFT Challenges

Here's my creation for MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge and the Color Challenge this week!  I used So Saffron, Mint Macaroon, Gumball Green and Pacific Point inks by SU with MFT's Plaid Background Builder stamp set.  I just love the new MFT Blissful Blooms set with matching dies...so fun to arrange!  I added Black Stickles and White Opal Liquid Pearls to the flower centers.  I won't begin to tell you the struggles I had with the little flag in the upper right

corner. 😖  Then again...maybe I will.  It started out blue but I couldn't find CS that matched the PP ink (even PP paper was way off!).  Then I tried a small ribbon bow at the top...Nahhh....not good.  Finally settled on white with 2 staples!  Sheesh.  Such agonizing over one element - lol!
