Jane's Coach

I heard Audrey and Jane in the bathroom. Audrey had to go potty. This was how the conversation went.

A: Jane, I'm going to go potty. See?
. . . hear her sit down on the potty chair and pee . . . she finishes
A: See, I'm finished? Now I wipe (wipes) and put it in the toilet. (Pours it in the toilet.)

I was going to go help her rinse it out at this point but then . . .
A: Ok, Jane, your turn.
. . . hear rustling and Audrey manages to pull Jane's diaper down like a pull-up
A: Now you just on the potty like that . . . good! Now we wait for the pee to come.
. . . silence . . .
A: Did you go pee?
J: Yeah.
A: Good job, Janey!
(clapping of two sets of little hands)
Jane now runs out to me with a huge smile and diaper and pants down to her ankles.
I go with her back to the bathroom.
Me: Jane, did you go potty??
J: Yeah
A: See, mom, she went pee!
There wasn't any pee. BUT . . .

Lots of cheering.
A: Here Jane, let me help you wipe. (She wipes Jane.) Now we pull up your panties. (Needs help so I help pull up Jane's pants.)

Yaaaaaaaay!

I'm thinking that with this kind of encouragement she'll be peeing the potty in no time. :)

Audrey's Request

Audrey came to me and asked for these exact things for dinner:

"Gram Cracker
Cookie Dough
Burrito
Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich
Oranges
and No Germs"

Jane Says

"back a nonie" = macaroni

"bucket" = W (that's what she says when she comes to W in the alphabet song)

"baby new" = new baby

I'll share more if I think of any.

Why?

Audrey just melted a few of our movies in the fireplace.

And that's why I haven't been blogging lately.
