Zions with the Parentals

We also got to take my parents to Zions while they were here. 

We love sharing Zions with whoever wants to go. It never gets boring for us.

 I told my mom to cup her hand and she would be holding the waterfall that was coming over the cliff. HA. She totally fell for it.

"Mom not the guy with the Kentucky waterfall."

hahahaha....who needs friends when I have myself.

I laughed for hours when I saw this picture!

It wouldn't be me without scenic pictures and creepy crawlies right?

We played Aggravation almost every night with my parents, boys vs. women style (haha), 

and well...let's face it....although my mom's finger is up indicating we are #1...her face says it all.

We had horrid luck.

 Miss these two so much already.

Can't wait for their next trip.

Caleb gets Baptized

On Friday May 13th, 20011 Caleb chose to be baptized a member

of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

We were so proud of his decision.

He felt nervous, excited, and a little scared. Which we assured him was normal. It was fun to incorporate through the year all about baptism in our FHE's.

The bishop called me and asked if it was ok if they combined his baptism with a convert baptism. We were so excited and thought that this would be an even more memorable occasion. And it was.

The spirit was so incredibly strong. I felt Heavenly Father's love all around me.

My dad and mom and Beau's mom came all the way from Idaho to support him on his special day. 

It meant so much to us and especially to him to have most of his grandparents there to support him.

And here are some pictures from his special day. We appreciated all of our friends who also came to support Caleb. It was such a beautiful day. The spirit was so strong and he felt so loved and blessed.

I asked him what he felt right afterwards and he said "happier than ever!"

 Now he is really anxious...

 Anxiously waiting. He was happy to be baptized with another person. It was special to get to share his special day with this beautiful women Dawn.  Her baptism was so beautiful and confirmation (later in church) was so beautiful.

 I am so glad that I have a husband who really takes his priesthood seriously. He is always so willing to share the blessings with any of us or others. I cannot forget that feeling I had so strongly later that day of how blessed I am to have the priesthood in my home. 

I look forward to Caleb's progression in the church. 

I love watching him grow and learn. He is such a good boy with so many strengths that I cherish. 

He teaches us so much all the time.

Creatures

Awhile back when I was blogging on a regular basis, Savanah asked me why I didn't do any posts on our animals.

I giggled and she told me  

" I am serious mom! They are part of our family too.

You would be sad if something happened to them." 

O.K. She was right. I would be sad. I DO love animals. 

I just don't like to touch them too often. (tehe)

So we went right out and took some pictures.

So this is Max. 

He was 9 1/2 years old when these were taken. 

Seriously the BEST dog ever.

I hope he is with us for a lot longer too.

And this is Dottie (aka Fleabag)

No she doesn't have fleas but sometimes she forgets proper hygiene and looks mangy. 

So Beau and I nicknamed her and it kindof stuck.

She is Savanah's cat. A pretty and petite feline.

 

Easter 2011

We got to spend the Saturday before Easter with the Lefevre Family out at Warner Valley. 

Their was an Easter Egg hunt, fun races, and of course dirt-bike riding. 

The kids had a blast. Beau and I had such a relaxing time too.

We appreciated the invite and always enjoy spending time with our friends.

 I am pretty sure the kids got well over a bag full of eggs. We had tons!

Lukas turns TWO

Another big thing for us in April (yes, I am still back in April) is Luke's birthday. 

Time is flying way to quickly! My handsome baby is now a toddler, but hey, let's face it, he is still my baby.

Just a really BIG one! 

We had a small family bbq and party with our friends the Church's.

Lukas got lots of toy "go go's (motorcycles for those of you who don't understand two year olds) 

and was in complete heaven!

Ohhhh...this MUG gets anything he wants from me! 

He is too adorably handsome to resist.

He currently says to me in a sweet sweet voice "you buy me." (Which means..."Buy me this toy")

and let's face it I do!

He was showing his "go go" his birthday cake!
