Harvest Moon
This year's Harvest Moon was
early--Sept. 8-9. It was a Super
Moon too!
A Harvst Moon is the moon
closest to the Autumanl Equinox.
Back in the day, the light from the
moon helped farmers gather their
crops.

Mums
These come in a variety of
colors. I prefer the burgudy
or the fuchisa colored ones.
I have a small burgundy one
on my porch, looking to get a
couple more. These are
a real reminder that Fall is
here.

The month of November
A good month if you happen
to have a birthday in it. :)

Nuts
No, not my state of mind!
These remind me of my Mom,
in the Fall she would by these
by the bag fulls and then get
out the little silver nutcracker,
the "pick" and the bowl for
shells. Then she would put them
on the coffee table for all to enjoy.

we will being seeing the leaves

then they will fall and the
raking will commence.

J is for...
Jack Frost
When I was little my Mom would tell
me that Jack Frost was the one who
made all the leaves turn colors.
He would kiss each one and it would
turn colors. We would drive down a
particular road and as you went down
it you could see the different colored
tree tops showing where Jack Frost
had been. I would have her tell me
this story each Fall as we drove down
the road.
Of course, we know that he is responsiible
for making our windows Frosty each day.
Right???

Jack-o-lanterns
I love a good Jack-o-lantern,
it is fun to see how people carve
them. I am not too creative when
it comes to carving these. Mine
are pretty basic. I admire the
more elaborate ones.
***I am a day behind due to the
baseball playoffs, got to watching
our team (Kansas City Royals)
and forgot to write a post yesterday.
Tomorrow is K but at this time I
have nothing for it, so we will see.
