We went to a reception for a wedding that was held in Hawaii. It was so nice and the arrangements were so pretty! If it hadn't been 38 degrees outside, you might almost think you were actually there! Ha!
Grocery shopping today with JH was an absolute breeze. The only thing he asked for was a bunch of bananas and then I didn't hear from him for several isles. I thought a little positive reinforcement was in order for his good behavior, and this is what I saw...
Tonya had a bunch of dinosaurs laid out for a photo shoot to take Cade's picture for his birthday invitation. As you can guess, he is having a dinosaur birthday party and what a cute idea for a picture. The only problem was Bubba Cade had zero intention of posing for his mommy, so JH laid down (as a demonstration) and was the most cooperative he's ever been! If you look back just a few posts, you can see he is generally unwilling to participate in "photo sessions." I have a feeling the tables may be turned when the time comes to take JH's picture for his birthday invitation, so I thought I should share this success....
Today I kept Jacob, Sam, and John Hall. We all decided a fun project for the day would be plan a surprise birthday party for Ose. I took the boys to Walmart and they picked out some decorations, cake, silly string, and dipping dots ice cream. We went back to Jamie's house and got the party all ready, and then went to pick up Julia. I think the kiddos succeeded in surprising Ose!
It was a chilly afternoon, so doing something inside sounded like a pretty good plan. John Hall was so excited to go bowling. He was really into it, but didn't like having to wait his turn...
Jason and I joined a group of friends to go back to the Cowboy's Stadium for the Cotton Bowl. We had a great time in Dallas, and owe a big thanks to Aunt Jamie and Kim (I'm sure the main ones) who kept JH while we were out of town!!!!
