Happy Birthday Samuel!!!

Samuel, I can't believe that you are already a year old. You're such a sweet boy and I love you so much. I can't wait until I get off from work to come see you. You are very precious and I'm so glad that you're my nephew! Happy first birthday!

No pics included!

Kimberly....I appreciate your concern in the lack of posts from me. I have been pretty busy and just haven't taken any pictures to accompany the posts that I would make. I've had girl's night, Jason's poker night, the Arkansas game....etc.....I'm still here. I'll post something soon. Kisses to Adalie!

Bunko Bunch

Last night I went to Bunko at Annabeth’s. Her house is just beautiful and the food was great. We didn’t play for long and mostly enjoyed everyone’s company. Afterwards, everyone decided to come over to my house and hang out for a while. (Jason was playing poker at Kevin’s) I have such a great group of friends and we had a wonderful time!

Child Labor

On Sunday, Jenn, Jake, and Steve came to our house to pick up Julia’s painting and to have a little dinner (Pizza Hut!). My little Jacob was so sweet and helpful. He loves to know what things sound like…”Jessica, how does your garage door sound….how does your doorbell sound…how does your dishwasher sound”….He watered my flowers, pulled weeds, swept for a while, and even painted my toenails. Yesterday, when I was getting ready to put on my sandals to wear to work, I had a little reminder of my time spent with Jacob. I then placed the sandals back in my closet and opted for close-toed shoes!!! Jacob is in surgery right now or in recovery. I can’t keep my thoughts on anything but Jake. I just love him SO MUCH!!!! I hope he’s doing ok and the staff that is treating him knows he’s a VERY SPECIAL little guy!

Sweet Baby Julia

Today I decided it was time to make the canvas I had been planning to do for her nursery. I was REALLY having trouble trying to decide on what to paint. I would see something and think it was cute, but then it wouldn't be from my heart to Julia. Plus, I'm not very good at copying other people's stuff and I didn't have mom's projector to help with this little project. I really wanted it to be original artwork from aunt "Keeca." I decided the only thing to do was to start with a blank canvas and let what comes to me flow to the empty space. I painted a monkey...Jennifer was the one who introduced our family to the "safari look" when it was the "in" thing and she had monkeys all over the place. Then she actually created a little monkey in Jacob! I thought that this was the animal appropriate for Julia's little nursery. I hope that she likes it when she finally gets to see it. I added some 3-D effects with a bow and tu-tu....

Texas game!

Last night we went to Nikki and Brad's to watch the Texas game (all for Jason really) and to eat. The girls put together puzzles during the game; we didn't find football all the interested. Bailey got her halloween costume yesterday and was VERY proud of it! She answered the door just like a black cat would...she crossed in front of me a few times, but I think my luck will be ok considering she is really a five year old! Blane was sleeping for the most part, but did make time to wake up and eat. I'm sure that's hard to imagine given his FOUR month old appearance! He is the sweetest baby! Nikki and Brad said that I had started something with the whole "having my camera at all times" thing, so Bailey wanted one of her own to take pictures with. Nikki said they needed a new camera anyhow, so they got a new one and Bailey got the old. She had such a good time taking pictures of everyone and really knows how to use her camera! I should have taken pictures of Nikki's projects from yesterday...just now thought about it. Her house is fall ready and is BEAUTIFUL! It put me in the mood to get out all my fall decorations!

I'm an Aunt...Again!!!

I just got off the phone with my brother, Adam and he said it would be ok to post a couple of pictures that he didn't put on their blog. He sounded SO PROUD of baby Adalie and we're all very happy that she's finally here and is so very precious. I am very excited to have such a sweet little niece!

Labor Day

After Jason's parents left this morning, Jamie and Sam came for a little visit. We ran around town to various places. We had a big lunch and sat outside because the weather was so nice. Sam could barely concentrate on eating with so much going on around us. We went to Target where he tried a taste of my popcorn and a white cherry icee. He came very close to having brain freeze several times. He would get upset if I didn't keep the frozen treat coming! I let him down in the baby clothes section, and he decided he needed a little "privacy" under a rack of clothes. When he emerged, we immediately made tracks to the family restroom to address a little diaper situation!!! After they left, Jason and I went over to friends for a labor day get together. It was a very fun day!!!

Petit Jean

John and Glenda came in for Labor Day weekend. We have eaten almost every meal out, and decided after lunch we should work some of that off. Hiking seemed like a good choice and the trails on Petit Jean mountain were perfect! The weather couldn't have been better.

...And the Birthday Party Never Ends...

Tonight Jason and I went to another birthday dinner with our friends, Michael and Kelly. We ate until we were sick, and in my case that was unfortunately the way the evening ended. Even still, it was great hanging out with them and as always, we had a wonderful time!!!

Bond, Baby Bond!

My name is Bond, Samuel James Bond! (We were playing in Jacob's tunnel, and this was the view of Sam!)

Family Birthday Dinner!

Last night Jason and I met my family (minus Andrew, Kim, and Adam who were there in spirit!) in LR for my birthday dinner celebration. Sam is getting a new tooth and wasn't feeling well at first, but after a dose of children's motrin and some of my beans, he was good to go! Jacob was very willing to help his aunt Keeca open presents. He goes straight for the gift and never considers that they're could possibly be a card. Jacob is so funny right now; almost everything he says should be recorded in his baby book! We went to TCBY after dinner where Sam decided that he liked what I got better than what his mommy got for him. I didn't mind because he gets so happy about food he likes and he didn't appreciate when I took it away. At one point he had TWO ice cream cones in his hands, and shoved one my way so that the ice cream landed in the palm of my hand. I went to the bathroom to wash it off and discovered charro black beans in my hair that weren't put there by me! Thing is, nobody bothered to tell me! We went back to Jacob's to play and had a great time. Jacob even shared his Pre-Halloween candy from his Superman candy pail. Thank you to my family for a great birthday!
