Beach trip with the girls

A few (three) weeks ago, we headed to Blue Mtn. Beach. "We" means my mother (KK), both sisters, Troy and Colt. Relaxing? N0. Fun? YES!!!
Of course I got zero photos of all of us together. What's a girl to do, right?
Here are a few of my favorite photos below.
Thankfully, KK and Mary helped me a LOT with Troy. He's a busy little bee and my pregnant self would get tired going up and down the stairs with him. Thanks guys!
KK with Troy the one day we went to the beach.
Right after about the 100th time I told Troy not to eat the sand. He actually was putting it in his mouth and swallowing it. Yuk.

I love this photo of Colt. He loved the sand and would just play with it.
The boys
Troy has been doing "fish lips" and we think it's one of the funniest things. Here he is in the tub. Colt is an active little thing in the tub and Troy was a bit intimidated.
Someone got a little jealous when his mother was holding another....
We had a wonderful weekend of great food (royal red shrimp anyone?), company, a little shopping and watching an awesome Auburn football game (vs. Arkansas).

Father's Day

We had a fantastic Father's Day. B decided he wanted to spend time with his folks and celebrate his FIRST Father's Day (as a baby daddy). We were supposed to head to Niceville for Memorial Day but Memama got the flu and we had to cancel.

Gratefully we were able to leave Thursday night. We thought that if we fed Troy and left shortly afterward, he would sleep the whole way there and we would have a smooth, quiet drive. Not! Sleeping was not on his mind so we sang, talked, read (well, I read) and about 45 minutes from Memama and Grandy's house, he fell asleep. Thank goodness.

Anyway, we had a great weekend. Lots of eating, sleeping, playing in the pool and hanging out. Jeff, Amy and their kids made their way over on Saturday. We all made it to the beach on Sunday.

B, thank you so much for what you do! You work so hard to provide for us, you play great with Troy. I love how he gets so excited to see you home each and every day. When I'm working overnight or take some girl time, I love it that you are so willing to step in and take care of our little boy. Even before he came, you were so great. And, thank you for making me breakfast and coffee every morning. Yes, EVERY morning! Changing those dirty diapers is a nice chore you've taken over, too.

B got a photo book I created on smugmug and he says he loves it. I'd say it's priceless when the father of your child tears up while reading a book made by his wife recounting the first few, precious months of his own child.

Happy Father's Day!

The View from Here

Brian "surprised" me with a fun Mother's Day weekend.
We took Troy to the water park in Niceville on Friday, then checked into the resort in Sandestin. Memama and Grandy came to pick up Troy from the resort.
Troy and Brian at the waterpark (below). Niceville has the cutest park! The water portion has all sorts of animals, sculptures and creatures that squirt water. The kids seemed to love it!
Troy is crawling now. It didn't take long AT ALL for him to crawl (in my opinion). I mean, he was sitting up good only a month and a half ago. Wasn't that supposed to last longer? Hmmmm. I don't know what we're going to do about this! He's already starting to pull up, too. Help me! I guess it's becoming time to baby proof the house.
We went out to the beach. Troy was very interested in the sand...
And was able to sneak a few bites in...his daddy didn't think it was as funny as I!
The water was so calm this morning...

The view from our room...

We have had a very relaxing weekend. Of course I miss Troy and am looking forward to seeing him in an hour or two.
Thanks Brown!
