Happy Birthday Great-Great Grandpa who turns 101 today!!! We miss you lots and wish we were there to spend it with you!! We love you!!!

Hello again!!

So it has been a ridiculously long time since our last post but things have been busy for us. Since our last post, Zach turned ONE and he has really developed a little personality. Here are some pictures from the past few months and for the record.....he ate the "U" side of his cake first!! Just kidding...I think Chris purposely put the "Y" side in front of him first....so we will have to see if he pulls through as a "U" fan or not!!

Swimming pool

I bought Zach this little pool thinking that he would love it.....little to my suprise he only likes it if it has warm water in it! I filled it up early in the morning and set it out in the sun to allow it to warm up. Late in the afternoon I checked it and the water felt a little cool but not too cold for him to enjoy, especially when it was so warm outside. I put him in it and he immediately cried and didn't want anything to do with it. I thougth he was just scared of the water but Chris thought we could try putting warm water in it. So that green bowl he is playing with in the video is actually a bowl we used to carry warm water from the house out to fill up his pool. Once we did this he loved it and was splashing and laughing. Lately he has been amazed by airlplanes. When ever he hears one he points his little finger up to the sky and tries to see if he can find it.

Geriatric or Pediatric???

Zach is getting so close to walking on his own but for now he uses is 'walker' to help him get around on his feet. It is so much fun to watch him go back and forth from one end of the room to the other end. It just reminds me of a little old man walking behind his walker. At first he would cry whenever something got in his way and stopped the walker but now he has figured out how to turn it when he runs into something. So much fun!!

A day at the zoo

Nikki and I took the boys to the zoo. It was a nice day and Zach liked going on the train too. We've been practicing the names and sounds of animals with him so hopefully one of these times when we go again he will be able to make the animal noises.

Read any good books lately?

Zach loves to read books and he has one book (the one Tony, Michelle and Ashley gave him for Christmas) where he has to kiss the animal on each page before you can turn the page. He is so much fun and loves pointing at the pictures in the books too. One day he was looking at his books and found something else....the door stop. Excuse Chris' singing in the video. For those of you who know Chris, you know how he sings his funny made-up songs.....but Zach loves them!

Don't worry....we are still here

Well its been forever since I have updated the blog. Many of you have probably stopped looking at it because it was the same for so long. Anyway, since last time, I have been chasing little Zach around the house non-stop and I feel like I say "no" at least a million times a day. I am planning to go part time the beginning of June which is very exciting! I wish I could get paid the money I do at work to just stay home and play with Zach all of the time. He has done lots and lots of cute things since the last post. Oh yeah, he has 4 teeth now too! He loves eating but didn't realize he had food stuck to his face in these pictures
