Alehammer - Mine's A Pint Of Crust

Alehammer is a metal crust band from England. Formed by members of Prophecy Of Doom, Impulse Manslaughter, Extinction Of Mankind, Doom. So great references. There are some Celtic Frost-ish riffs here and there also. The records is released in '07 and it comes with an Alehammer beer mat, cool stuff!

Amebix - Arise! & Monolith

This is the 100th post of the blog so it should be something special, right?
So it's gonna be an Amebix double post with their first and second LP's.
I guess everyone reading these lines knows what Amebix is all about; "Doomsday, stench, filth, nuclear wars, alcohol" and every other crust related thing you can think of. Because they are the fucking godfathers of that genre. I don't think these LP's need more describing, grab them if you haven't already.

The band is formed in '85 in Wigan / England. The band was not active for a long period of time but they are one of the main roots of today's extreme music, including grindcore, crust, hardcore punk and thrashcore. Well known Jeff Walker of Carcass & Napalm Death was in that band too, did you know that punk?

Axegrinder - Rise Of The Serpent Men

Axegrinder is from England, which was active through '86 to '91. They play metallic dark crust. As we call it "stenchcore", they are one of the invertors of this genre with Amebix. And as you can see while listening to the album, there is a huge Amebix worship. Which is not bad in any way or can be considered as a rip-off. Which is just total respect to the masters. This LP is released in '88 and it's quite catchy.

Morne is a post apocalyptic crust band from USA, including some members of Disrupt & Filth Of Mankind. Some people call this band as the "Amebix of the 21st century" and i agree them in a way. Warprayer is a metallic brutal crust band from England. Two great bands.

Sick Terror & Fuck Hate Propaganda Split 7"

Fuck Hate Propaganda is from England, and there are ex-members of Egg Raid and Kismet-HC playing in them. They play furious fastcore/grindcore. And Sick Terror is from brazil, fast shit. Recommended 7", released in 2004.
