Summer Catch Up!

WOW I have a lot of catching up to do! Now that things have somewhat slow down and Bridger goes to school and Brynlee's pretty good to hang out and play in her room and maybe even have a nap! I really don't have any more excuses, So I think I will start with the 4th of July, see I told you I had a lot of catching up to do!
Yep this is the good old Malad 4th of July Fun Run! And Yep that little tiny person running is Bridger! I was shocked when I seen him coming in already, I knew he could run it just fine, I just didn't know he could do it that fast for a 5 yr old with tiny legs! Well I got tired of running by myself or with my dad and his buddies, so Bridger decide he wanted to run, he has been running with his dad quite bite throughout the summer, so I thought great me and Bridger can run it together this year. Well out of the 8 years we've been married Clint's only been home on the 4th twice, so this year there has been hardly any fires, so he was home the whole weekend it was great! So of coarse he wanted to run with him which honestly did not hurt my feelings, it was nice to just watch!
Bridger ran the 1 mile in 9:37 and came in 6th, he had fun running it and did a great job!
The kids love watching the parade, that's why their not looking at me. I loved loved the Hess Pumice float not just because I helped make days before but that flag was just amazing it just gave me chills when it came by!

Bridger doing the water slide at the park, it was nice and cold!
We love to watch Malad Idol and the hypnotist at the park the kids just dance and hang out on a blanket, nothing beats Malad on the 4th! Its great!

Ok this video is sooo funny we were just lighting fireworks at home after the big fireworks were over and I had the camera trying to get pics of Bridger while he was doing sparklers and when Clint decided to do a little dance I hurried and turned it on, so then he I got most of it, but he thinks I turned it on to get Bridger doing his famous robot! So nobody tell Clint you seen him on my blog doing the robot!

Fishing at CottonWood

We love going over to Cottonwood, it is so beautiful and peaceful and the fishing is great! We usually go over and fish for a few hours then go home, but this weekend we deiced to camp over night, the kids love it, I don't know what it is about a tent but they think its the coolest thing ever.Clint and the kids fish'in from the bank

I thought this was so funny, Brynlee had just woak up still kind of out of it, and was sitting here eating her muffins and juice, and Bridger asked her to hold his spider man fishin pole while took the net to Clint. The next thing I know her pole is bending down and she got one on, she is so diffrent from Bridge she just stays calm and reels as fast as she can doesn't even stand up, now Bridger anyone in a mile radius knows he got a fish on and then narrates the whole thing for ya
its pretty fun to watch. So this fish casted by Bridger and caught by Bryn was a lunker (that's what Bridger calls them either small fry or lunkers) it was 19 1/2 in

Clint finally got to do some fly fishing on his pontoon, when he was on bank he had to keep running over to get fish off the kids line, Bridger would try to get them in the net for him, without getting in the water, but we still needed dads help. So the kids went exploring and gave dad some time to fish.

Yes, I had to post my lunker, mom had the biggest fish of the weekend, well unless you count Clint's that he got while he was on the pontoon, which he measured by himself no witnesses, was 22 in. so I'm stick'in with mine being the biggest! He doesn't read the blog anyway

Me and the kids roasted some hot dogs

Hogal Zoo

We took the kids to Hogal Zoo the last week of May, and had a great time! It wasn't too crowded or hot, it was just perfect! Here is Grammy, Bridger, Hallee and Jason watching the bird show.

Bridger was so funny with his little map, he thought that was the best part, he would open it and say "OK we are here, now we need to go left down this road and turn then will find the penguins" Anytime we would stop and talk about what we wanted to see next he would open his map and try to tell us where we need to go! The kids loved the elephant show too, they actually did some pretty cool tricks! This elephant is going to have a baby around the first of August so we really want to go back after she has it! Wouldn't that be so cute!

You have to use the classic drinking fountain, its been there since we were kids. Bridger told me he was looking for cavities.

Sweet little baby Joesph's first visit to the zoo, and he was so good!
You got to love the train ride that's last for ah maybe 30 seconds, but the kids love it and you get to sit and rest for a minute! What cute kids

You got to love the zoo!

Emree & Joseph

Yep its been 4 weeks so its time for me to finally update. I can't believe I haven't put the new babies on yet! We just absolutely love Emree & Joseph they are both so cute and such a wonderful blessing to our family

This is Emree D. Hanks, she was born April 3, and it about 3 weeks old in this picture, she is the prettiest baby, beautiful skin pretty blue eyes, and so sweet. Brynlee is obsessed with Emree, if Hailee is doing anything with her Bryn wants right in on the action, changing her diaper, getting her dressed and of course when Hailee feeds her, shes got her nose right in there trying to watch. I didn't really think it was that big of a deal, till now when I catch Brynlee with her shirt lifted up and hold her baby right there on the goods. She tells me, her babies can only have their mommy's milk, and that's her, so what do ya do!
Here we have Joseph Michael Kimberling, he was born April 26 and is only 3 days old in this picture. He is the cuddliest little guy and he makes the cutest little sounds, Heidi thinks he is all Kimberling, but I think he has a few Hess traits, especially his rumbly bum. Its really cute to watch Bridger with him, he calls him baby J, he was so excited to get another boy in the family. The first time he was holding him was talking to him saying, I can't wait to teach you how to play the Wii and Mario Kart I will even put it on the easy level and well ride bikes and scooters at Grammies. I think he thought he was getting a instant buddy but he still loves to hold him!

I love these pics of the kids holding Emree on her blessing day, so precious!

Easter Morning

It was a beautiful Easter morning, so I made my fam go up to my mom's house after church to take some pics. Of course the boys complained and Brynlee was thrilled she loves to take pictures. You should see the pictures she taken on my cell phone they are hilarious, her lips one eyeball, her petshops she got a knack for it!
OK my kids have turned the rock in to tradition every time we take picture up there that's the first thing they want, Mom we have to take a picture on the rock, I know Bridger just like to climb up it but it works!

Even though we were missing a lot of my fam we still had a great Easter, of course Jake is still in Peru, and Mike,Cecilia, and Tatum were in Arizona, and baby Emree was only 9 days old so Hailee and Trav decided to stay home. So after we had a nice dinner we went home and relaxed together it was great. Bridger was pretty funny, so we do all the Easter bunny stuff on Saturday, so Sunday we can focus on the real reason we celebrate Easter but Bridger and Bryn got new tennis rackets with matching tennis balls so Bridger tells me, "Mom I wish Easter wasn't on the sabbath day so we could go play tennis" I was like well Bridger sorry to break it to ya but Easter will always be on Sunday.
It was good cause then we got to talk about why it was on Sunday and how the Resurrection took place and then we watch the He is Risen movie, which is now one of their favorites but it was a wonderful time to talk and teach them how blessed we really are to have a Savior who would do all of that for us, so we could live with our families forever, it was a great day!

Yes more of my little poser!
