The kids FAVORITE thing we did in Steamboat was sledding!

We don't usually get enough snow to do much sledding in Rock Springs, so this was only their 2nd time ever, and they LOVED every second of it (and it was fun for the adults as well)

The nice hill we found was at the LDS church!

Thanksgiving

This year we headed to Steamboat for Thanksgiving with the Will family.
Trish and Doug rented a beautiful house for us to stay in, and we had a great time!

We witnessed beautiful sunsets every night.

We played several games, UNO was one of the favorites.

Ashlee woke up on Thanksgiving throwing up. So she spent the day quarantined in the girls room watching movies and resting. The quarantining worked because no one else got sick! Poor girl, though. Thanksgiving is the worst day to be sick.

We had beautiful views form our house. And Steamboat had a bunch of snow before we got there, so everything was nicely covered.

Chris and my mom have an ongoing war with a can of cranberry sauce. They have passed it back and forth to one another since 2007! This year my mom got Chris good by giving it to him at Thanksgiving. Chris' mom helped out with it and he had no clue it was coming. It was great.

We made Thanksgiving turkeys!

And thankful trees.

We all worked on a music video to "I Want a Hippopatomus for Christmas" and watched it the morning after Thanksgiving. Chris directed and edited it, and it turned out super corny, but cute. 

Friday we walked around downtown a bit and stopped for some hot chocolate in a chic coffee shop.

Later that day (and after sledding which has its own post) the kids and Grandma watched The Polar Express.

That night the kids had a rocking dance party.

And then they got new pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa!

Saturday we made cake pops.

And had a fun time playing in the deep snow.

Really Caitlin was the only builder of the snowman.

Chris and Nate came out and we had a snowball fight!

Then back inside for hot chocolate and a craft.

And more beautiful sunsets.

It was a great Thanksgiving spent with a wonderful family!

Family Weekend

We headed to Colorado after school on Friday for a quick family weekend including pictures and dinner with the whole Quinby family (except we missed seeing Aaron).

It was a quick trip for us because we had to drive back home Saturday evening so Chris could be here for church on Sunday. Even though it was quick, it was fun and we were glad to be able to see so much family.

Saturday morning the girls played outside in the backyard.

Then it was family picture time at the sculpture park (and it was nice weather which is a huge plus).
I can't wait to see how they all turned out! The lady who took them does a great job.

Chris' Aunt Gigi is the girls FAVORITE person. They just love every second they get to play with her. We just wish that Maine wasn't so far away!

The pictures were getting close to lunch and nap time, but Molly did really well. She loves to be outside and walking around. She didn't always like to have her picture taken, but hopefully a few turned out.

Back at Grandma and Grandpa's house the kids played, read books, and acted like turkeys until it was time to eat the turkey.

And, I hate to say we ate and ran, but we did. As soon as the pie was gone, so were we (it was delicious).
I never got a picture of the whole group, but we will have one from the photographer.
