In a New York State of Mind
On the train, on the way to New York City
In Grand Central Station
Don't judge me...I'm pregnant...so yes I CAN have cheesecake before 10am!
At Times Square
Being silly on Broadway
After lunch we went to FAO Schwartz...
The Harry Potter characters were made out of legos
Then we went to Central Park and ended up getting black and white portrait sketches done...
And here's the results...the artist did both of us in about 30 minutes! I was pretty impressed.
Central Park
At Grand Central Station getting ready to head back to New Haven. We were so exhausted, but we had a great time together. We'll have to go again and plan what we're going to do. This trip was my first time in New York and I just wanted to go and see what there was to see. Next time we're going to sqeeze in a baseball game or go to show. It's great though, we were able to make it home in time to grab a pizza and chill out for the evening watching a movie. Can't beat that!

Where am I?
On a totally different note, people have asked me if I have had any cravings. I don't know if I've had cravings specifically but I do seem drawn to munch on food that is orange. Not necessarily an actual orange (although I guess I did go through a time of eating a lot of oranges), just orange things. One morning when I was about 12 weeks along I will embarassingly admit to eating a peach or two for breakfast and then grabbing a handful of cheetos. Maybe it was more so the sweet/salty combo but just now I was at Target and my impulse buys were cheddar cheese Pringles and Cheddar Chex Mix, both of which are orange. I love me some SALT...but this orange thing is strange. On a healthier note I am sitting here drinking a strawberry smoothie which is YUMMY!

Saturday we did some furniture shopping! We found some great pieces at Ikea, side note Ikea and Home Depot have become our favorite places. We got an entertainment center, side table for the living room, and kitchen island. We also put in our order for our baby furniture. We are blessed to already have a crib, so we got a dresser and glider. It's going to take a little bit to arrive so I'm glad we went ahead and ordered. Saturday afternoon we went to a cookout and then came back and worked on assembling the kitchen island. Here's the finished product please excuse the boxes..
We've been busy but it's been a lot of fun too. We're still trying to figure out where things go and I don't know when the dining room will be clear of boxes...but I feel like we're getting more settled.
